GOLDWEDGE PROJECT -- INITIAL GRAVITY RECOVERY TESTS RETURN 90.9% GOLD AND DRILL PROGRAM UNDERWAY
Royal Standard Minerals Inc. has provided the following on its Goldwedge project. Drifting on mineralized material is progressing in conjunction with the mining and stockpiling of approximately 1,400 to 1,500 tons gold-mineralized material on a surface pad. This material has been used for gold recovery testing. The testing is being completed at the company`s on-site analytical laboratory. The indications are considered to be very favourable, the majority of the gold, up to 90.9 per cent, can be recovered with gravity recovery methods. A portion of the mine run material may require a secondary grinding to achieve full liberation of the final product to optimize maximum recoveries. The best recoveries involved a grind of the mineralized material to minus-200 mesh. Test screen analysis of the various size fractions of run of mine material indicates that most of the gold occurs within the size fractions minus-one-eighth-inch to plus-200 mesh. Testing to include more screen analysis of mine run material concentrating on improving liberation of the gold of the finer size fractions is continuing.
The underground development program at Goldwedge is progressing with the development of a second crosscut B located north of the initial crosscut A. At this point more than 400 feet of development work, as well as drifting on two gold mineralized zones, have been completed since early July, 2005. The current development work is concentrated on the completion of crosscut B followed by drifting on additional mineralized zones.
Also, an underground drilling program is under way. RSM has hired a driller to operate the company drill and several drill stations have been completed. The focus of the drilling will be to direct the mining and bulk sampling in conjunction with extensive exploration within the gold mineralized system at depth, across strike and on strike of the current development. This program will be continuous.

Typically the breakout was tested after the share price achieved a multi- year high at $0.68 and corrected back to $0.48 (the breakout point) the following week. $0.48 now offers significant support to the share price. The high at $0.68 offers some resistance, but beyond that there is little resistance until the old high at $1.50. I do not expect that high to be tested on this move, but $0.90-$1.00 is a viable target.
Royal Standard remains one of my favorite junior gold stocks. The Company’s Wedge property is fully permitted for production. The mill is nearing completion on site. Ore is being stockpiled and the Company expects to commence test milling shortly. The ultimate goal is to produce 60,000 oz gold per annum for a minimum of 10 years. The deposit remains open along strike and at depth. The Company has recently released news that suggests that the Wedge deposit has typical Carlin Trend characteristics. Cash raised from production on the Wedge property will be used for exploration on the other highly prospective Royal Standard properties in Nevada.
