LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in Renesola were higher in early trade
after Goldman Sachs upgraded its rating to 'buy' from 'neutral', increased its
target price to 360 pence from 271 and commented that further evidence of
increased production will boost valuation, according to dealers.
At 8.36 am, shares in Renesola were up 20-3/4 pence at 293 pence.
In a note to clients this morning, Goldman said delays to the delivery of
equipment and downgrades to production forecasts last year, along with
associated funding and working capital concerns, caused Renesola's share price
to suffer, resulting in a multiple discount to its peers that continues to this
day.
It said the shares currently trade at 8.3 and 8.7 times 2008 and 2009
earnings, respectively, against the solar sector at 17.8 and 13.1.
However, with production now increasing, Goldman said it feels that a
continued multiple discount of this magnitude is unwarranted and offers a buying
opportunity.
Furthermore, as evidence of lower-priced silicon starts to feed through to
the market as the broker believes it will, margin expectations for Renesola
should improve.

suntech (=auslöser für den Kursrutsch) erholt sich ja wieder schön. Die anderen (SOL, LDK etc.) dümpeln und gehen praktisch nicht mit nach oben!
