glaubst du, dass eine Klitsche, die mit 42 Mio bewertet ist, was am Markt bewegen kann???
Zudem ist OTCBB und China immer sehr heiss... wer glaubt

Übrigens ist unsere deutsche DEGUSSA nanotechnologiemäßig im Bereich Batterien sehr gut aufgestellt!!!

Wie hoch die Klitsche bewertet ist, ist mir eigentlich egal. Mich interessiert mehr, was die Klitsche wert ist. Vielleicht ja 5 x so viel, vielleicht auch gar nix.

Mit China habe ich bisher sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht (z.B. ASIA/XING) und das eine OTC-Aktie zunächst mal ein Zockerpapier ist, dürfte hier jedem klar sein. Aber bezogen auf den Hybridantrieb bei Autos geht es immerhin um einen Markt, der (sollte er wirklich entstehen) erstmal verteilt werden muß.

Degussa hätte ich in der Tat interessant gefunden. RAG ist mir zu klobig.

ALTI hat in 05 mal ihr Nanomaterial geliefert an ABAT. Die wiederum wollten damit Ihre PolymerLithium Batterien leistungsmäßig steigern und auch die Zahl der max. Ladezyklen erhöhen. Ich weiß nicht was daraus geworden ist.

Habe zu rund $ 3 mal ein Drittel verscherbelt. Aber ich glaube im Moment eher, dass wir noch eine Stufe nach oben klettern. Die Aktie ist auch immer noch billig. In 2006 $ 0.13 pro Aktie Gewinn. Bei $ 3 war das für das abgelaufene Geschäftsjahr ein KGV von gut 20 und das ist für diese Wachstumsraten einfach zu wenig.

Das Unternehmen Evonik, das für den Deutschen Zukunftspreis nominiert ist, könnte mit einer Nano-Membran entscheidend beim Bemühen sein, Lithium-Ionen-Batterien autotauglich zu machen. Evonik verhandelt bereits mit fast allen Autoherstellern. 2009 oder 2010 sollen die ersten Autos auf den Markt kommen. Das Unternehmen glaubt an den Erfolg des Elektroautos.

Marl. Die Nano-Membran fühlt sich an wie besonders weiches Papier und rollt in der Marler Fabrik von Walzen, wie sie auch in Zeitungsdruckereien stehen. Doch hinter dem Material stecken Jahre harter Entwicklungsarbeit und rund 50 Millionen Euro Investitionen: Der Essener Evonik-Konzern und Forscher der Universität Duisburg-Essen wollen damit die bisher nur in Handys und Laptops verwendeten, besonders leistungsfähigen Lithium-Ionen-Batterien autotauglich machen. In jeder Batterie sind Anode und Kathode, Plus- und Minuspol voneinander getrennt - sonst gäbe es einen Kurzschluss. Die bisher in Lithium-Ionen-Batterien verwendeten Kunststoff-Trennfolien schmelzen aber von 140 Grad Celsius an, wie der Evonik-Forscher Gerhard Hörpel erklärt. Für Autobatterien mit ihrem hohen Energievorrat ist das aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht akzeptabel. Hörpels 40-köpfiges Evonik-Team und die Gruppe des Duisburger Professors Paul Roth haben deshalb Folien mit winzigen Keramikpartikeln verklebt. Sie sind nur halb so dick wie ein Haar, die Trennfolien bleiben weich, halten aber dank der Beschichtung Temperaturen bis 500 Grad stand. Das hat sich das Unternehmen mit 25 Patenten schützen lassen.

Hörpel ist überzeugt, dass Elektroautos mit den leistungsfähigen Lithium-Ionen-Batterien nach Jahrzehnten mäßigen Markterfolgs eine große Zukunft haben. "Die Zeit ist jetzt reif dafür: Der Ölpreis explodiert, und immer mehr Menschen sind in ernster Sorge um die Umwelt." Lithium, das mit Soda zusammen vor allem in Mexiko und Südamerika abgebaut wird, sei ausreichend vorhanden. Im Schnitt führen die Deutschen nach Untersuchungen täglich nur einen mittleren Radius von 32 Kilometern mit dem Auto - kein Problem für Batterien. "Mit unseren Batterien schaffen Sie schon jetzt 250 bis 300 Kilometer Reichweite." Und der Energieverbrauch lasse sich mit Elektroantrieb um bis zu 30 Prozent verringern.

Das testet Evonik derzeit mit einem Honda mit Elektro- und Benzinmotor, der bereits 41.000 Kilometer auf dem Zähler hat. "Auf Dauer werden wir aber - zumindest als Zweitwagen - auch reine Elektrofahrzeuge sehen", ist Hörpel überzeugt.

Evonik rechnet damit, dass der Markt für Batterieteile von derzeit 1,4 Milliarden Euro bis 2015 auf 4 Milliarden Euro anwächst. "Von diesem Kuchen wollen wir einen guten Anteil abbekommen", sagt ein Unternehmssprecher. Bei Evonik mit der Tochter Litarion GmbH in Kamenz/Sachsen und dem Kamenzer Batterieteilehersteller Li-Tec, an dem Evonik beteiligt ist, werde sich die Zahl der mit Lithium-Ionen- Batterien verbundenen Jobs in den nächsten zwei Jahren auf fast 200 verdoppeln. Evonik plant in diesem Zeitraum Investitionen in zweistelliger Millionenhöhe. Chef des Unternehmens ist übrigens der ehemalige Wirtschaftsminister Werner Müller.

Langfristig sehen die Forscher noch viel weitgehendere Einsatzmöglichkeiten für die High-Tech-Batterie: Als Speicher für regenerativ erzeugten Strom und - sicherlich schon deutlich eher - als Energiequelle für größere Haushaltsgeräte wie Staubsauger. Ob das gestern eine einmalige Nachkaufgelgenheit war?
Die Ankündigung eines Private Placement i.H.v. 12 Mio. US$ hat wohl vorbörslich eine Menge Short-Seller auf den Plan gerufen.
Diese wurden dann im Laufe des Tages wieder aus dem Wert getrieben,daher war das Minus am Ende dann doch nicht mehr so erschreckend. (Die Dilution durch das PP ist nur ca. 6%)
Das PP wurde ja durchgeführt, um den Backlog in den Auftragsbeständen (i.H.v. 21 Monaten) endlich abarbeiten zu können.
Dass ist wohl im am Ende auch den Shorties aufgefallen Das Unternehmen scheint weit davon entfernt zu sein, Liqui-probleme zu haben. (außer eben durch zu starke Expansion).

Obwohl ich mich gestern gefreut habe und n bisschen zugekauft habe gibt es leider noch ein paar Haare in der Suppe:
1.) Der ein oder andere Insider hat verkauft (z.B. am 31.07.)
2.) Ich kann mir derzeit keine besonders starke Umsatzsteigerung vorstellen, da die Firma wohl tatsächlich ständig an der Kapazitätsgrenze arbeitet. Daher werden die Zuwächse in den Zahlen nächste Woche wohl eher gering ausfallen.

We were able to grow revenue in excess of 40% while cutting overhead costs and controlling the cost to manufacture our products. The market for our large and medium capacity battery cells continues to expand, particularly for usage in electric sanitation vehicles, electric scooters, electric bicycles, power tools, miners' lamps, searchlights and other applications.

"In December of 2008, we announced our intent to acquire 55% of Wuxi Angell, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, including electric bikes, agricultural transport vehicles and electric sports utility vehicles. The benefits of our relationship with Wuxi Angell have already been seen as evidenced by the introduction of our three new hybrid motorcycles, which debuted in February of 2009.

Revenue for 2008 was $45.2 million, an increase of $13.3 million, or 41.6% from $31.9 million for 2007. The increase in revenue was driven by increased sales volume, driven by new customer growth and increased sales of batteries for motorized vehicles. For 2008, large capacity battery cells generated $13.5 million in sales or 29.8% of total revenue. Medium capacity battery cells generated $16.2 million in sales or 35.9% of total revenue in 2008. Small capacity battery cells generated $4.7 million in sales or 10.5% of total revenue in 2008. Revenue from other products (i.e. miners' lamps) generated $10.8 million in sales or 23.8% of total revenue.

For 2008, gross profit increased approximately 59.1% to $22.0 million from $13.9 million in 2007. Gross margin was 48.8% in 2008, compared with 43.4% in the prior year. Gross margin performance reflects the efforts of the Company's production staff to achieve more efficient use of raw materials, and from the Company's ongoing program of improving the efficiency of production techniques.

For 2008, operating income increased approximately 84.3% to $18.8 million from $10.2 million during 2007. Operating expenses decreased 11% to $3.3 million from $3.7 million in the prior year. The decrease reflected a one-time compensation charge that was recorded in 2007 plus a decrease in R&D costs as the Company focused on expanding the Company's production facility.

Net income in 2008 increased 57.7%, to $16.1 million, or $0.31 per fully diluted share, compared to $10.2 million or $0.21 per fully diluted share in 2007.

Balance Sheet

As of December 31, 2008, the Company had $32.7 million of cash and cash equivalents, compared to $2.7 million of cash and cash equivalents at December 31, 2007.

Backlog is approximately $63.6 million as of March 12, 2009. $55.9 million of these firm orders are due for delivery during the current fiscal year.

Outlook

The Company believes that the global recession will make it difficult to equal the revenue growth rate of 2008, but that the Company will continue to grow through new customers and strategic alliances.

NEW YORK and HARBIN, China, April 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ABAT), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of rechargeable Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, today provided a business update and financial guidance for the first quarter and full year 2009.

Business Update

ABAT is currently working to close the acquisition of Wuxi Angell Autocycle Co. Ltd. ("Wuxi Angell"), a developer and manufacturer of various types of electric vehicles, including electric bikes, agricultural transport vehicle and electric sports utility vehicles. The Company expects to close the acquisition in the 2nd quarter of 2009.

The Company also expects expanded assembly line capacity in Harbin to be operational in the late second quarter of 2009 and believes the facility has the ability to generate approximately $22 million in 2009. By the end of 2009 ABAT expects new production facilities with $44 million of annual revenue potential to be fully operational.

The effects of the global economic crisis have led to a slowdown in almost all areas of business and industry. While ABAT is not immune to the weakness in global manufacturing, the Company sees opportunities to expand production, increase product availability and position the business for the long term.

Guidance

For the first quarter of 2009 the Company expects revenue of $10.7 million and net income of $4.65 million. This compares to $10.0 million and $3.8 million in revenues and net income achieved in the first quarter of 2008.

Revenue for full year 2009 is expected to be $66 million and net income is expected to be $27.5 million.

The Company's financial guidance does not factor any revenue contribution from the Wuxi Angell acquisition.
