klar, habe unter 100 gbp meinen durchschnitts-EK dramatisch reduziert auf 120 gbp

ich denke, das geht relativ zügig auf 250 gbp = 3,50 euro. mordashov oder andere oligarchen sind nicht willkommen in tschukotka (mein nick stammt davon http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tschuktschen), wo er der landeshauptmann ist (und das aus london aus, ein kunststück :laugh. das heisst aber, dass er durchaus bereit ist, sogar mehr als am markt üblich zu bezahlen, um die nicht willkommenen gäste von seinem reich fern zu halten

was sind schon 400 mio. für einen man, dessen vermögen über 20 milliarden usd beträgt

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Highland Gold Mining Ltd said Roman Abramovich's holding company Millhouse LLC will buy 130.1 mln new shares in the AIM-listed company for 400 mln usd, giving the Moscow-based asset management company a 40 pct stake via a subscrption agreement.

The share purchase will be made in two equal-sized transactions at 151 pence a share. The shares closed yesterday at 163-1/4 pence.

At 11.11 am, the shares were up 12p, or 7.5 pct, at 175-1/4.

Highland, which operates a number of gold projects in Russia, said the proceeds will form an 'essential component' of its funding, allow it to proceed with its development programme, and reduce its reliance on debt financing.

Under the share subscription, the first phase of which is expected to take place on Dec 11, Millhouse will be able to appoint some directors to the board. The first subscription will give the Russian billionaire's holding company a 25 pct stake and allow it to nominate a third of Highland's nine board members, while the 40 pct stake will also give it the right to appoint a chief executive, although he will not serve on the board.

Barrick Gold, currently the largest shareholder in Highland with a 34 pct stake, said it welcomed the investment by Millhouse.

'Highland Gold now has a shareholder of notable standing in Russia,' said Highland's chairman James Cross. 'This supplements our existing relationship with Barrick and creates a strong platform for exploiting our attractive asset base.'

Today's agreement may take away some of the political risk associated with foreign resource companies in Russia. Highland Gold is one of a number of non Russian companies that have been mentioned in connection with mining licenses being revoked in the past.

In August, Russia's environmental agency Rosprirodnadzor, which has no official power to revoke licenses, informed the London-listed company that it was violating parts of its agreement to mine the Mayskoye gold deposit, Interfax reported. However, Highland Gold later said the operating licence for Mayskoye had been extended by Rosendra, the federal subsurface resources agency.

Abramovich is governor of the Chukotka region and recently bought a significant gold mine in the Chaunsky district, where Mayskoye is located. Highland said at the time of Abramovich's purchase that it had no plans to sell Mayskoye.

Highland Gold said it entered into a relationship agreement which ensures that it can carry on business independently of Millhouse.

wie immer fragt man sich, warum verkaufen, wenn die aktie so günstig ist? die aktuelle bewertung ist noch hoch (nur KGV! die reserven und das potenzial sind immens!) usw.

man versteht nicht, dass man mit barricks expertise (BARRICK hält 30% an der company) und der unterstützung von abramowich (er ist der gouverneur dort auf tschukotka), wird die company sehr schnell mayskoe in betrieb nehmen und bis zum jahre 2010 500 tausend unzen jährlich produzieren. der börse fehlt es derzeit an fantasie bei edelmetall-gesellschaften!

zum schluss noch mal 50K gekauft (evtl. sogar 2mal) und der kurs geht runter?

Ich denke, der gestrige Preisverfall hat etwas mit der Unsicherheit zu tun, was die russischen Präsidentwahlen angeht. Für Abramovich, der bekanntlich mit Putin gut befreundet ist, könnte es jedoch schwieriger werden, in Russland Geschäfte zu machen. Viel Erfolg bedeutet auch viele Neider!

Endingen (aktiencheck.de AG) - Die Experten von "Global Insider Investing" empfehlen bei der Aktie von Highland Gold (ISIN GB0032360173 / WKN 172963) mit kritischem Blick am Ball zu bleiben.

Die Highland Gold-Aktie sollte man in nächster Zeit genau beobachten und bei anhaltender Kursschwäche wenn nötig umgehend die Reißleine ziehen. RBC Capital Markets habe den Wert auf "verkaufen" eingestuft. Anscheinend müsse bei dem einen oder anderen Projekt mit Verzögerungen gerechnet werden, was höchstwahrscheinlich negative Auswirkungen auf die Stimmung für den Titel und damit den Kurs haben werde.

Dagegen hätten die Analysten von Cazenove und Goldman Sachs zuletzt sogar ihre Kaufempfehlung für die Aktie bestätigt und auch von Seiten der Insider gebe es keine Anzeichen dafür, dass man zittrige Hände bekommen sollte.

ich nehme jetzt die ersten Gewinne mit (vielleicht 20-30% meiner Position) ... habe nun 100% auf meinen EK und 250 GBp war mein erstes Kursziel.

Das Unternehmen ist nach wie vor günstig bewertet, mit Abramovich als Hauptaktinär bestens positioniert für die Zukunft und hat 400 Mio. USD in der Kasse. Es muss jedoch noch zeigen, ob operative Probleme aus der Vergangenheit nun überwunden werden könnten, deswegen Mitnahmen. Sollte sich der Goldpreis über 900$, sehen wir in Kürze auch 300 GBp...

Ich schichte nun auch dieses Geld in Ovoca (OVG.F) um - das Unternehmen hat m.E. enormes Potenzial.
1. Silberpreis langfristig noch besser als Gold;
2. Machbarkeitsstudie in Kürze. Wenn die operativen Kosten unter 5$ und die Baukosten unter 100$, ein Vervielfachungskadidat;
3. Großes Molybdänvorkommen möglich, >100 Tsd. Tonnen Moly = 9 Mrd. $ Ressourcenwert;
4. Ressourcen-Ausweitung + weitere Silbervorkommen in der Nähe von Goltsovoye

Kursziele hier: 3 Monate - 0,30 Euro (+50%), 12 Monate - 0,50 Euro (150%), Anfang 2010 - 1 Euro (+400%)... wenn alles wie erwartet läuft ....

Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland"), the AIM quoted Russian gold producer, announces the appointments, effective today, of Eugene Shvidler, Eugene Tenenbaum and Olga Pokrovskaya to its Board of Directors. Henry Horne and Scott Perry have resigned from the Board of Highland with immediate effect. Henry Horne remains in an executive role and Scott Perry is leaving Highland to take
up another appointment.

The abovementioned appointments and changes are made in accordance with the in terms of the Relationship Agreement made between Highland Gold and Millhouse LLC ("Millhouse") dated 4 December 2007, under which Millhouse took an equity interest in Highland aggregated to 40%. Under the terms of that agreement, Millhouse has the right to nominate directors to the Board of Highland proportionate to its shareholding.

The directors of Highland have reviewed and accepted the nominations and are pleased to welcome the new directors to the Board. Significant Progress Made at Three Highland Gold Mining limited Exploration Properties

30 January 2008 - Highland Gold Mining Limited (“Highland Gold”, or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that exploration results from 3 of its exploration properties which are in advanced stage of work indicate strong development potentials.

At Belaya Gora, a total of 13,000 metres of diamond drilling have been completed in 2007 at the two targets Pologaya and Stockwork. Assay results received to date are in line with our previous expectations and corroborate the property’s resource potential which is estimated to be within the C1+C2 Russian reserve category at 22 million tonnes grading 1.68 g/t of gold. Resource delineation drilling is now continuing at Stockwork with an additional 7,500 metres planned to be completed by mid-year 2008. Metallurgical testing on two 300kg bulk samples from both targets is also in progress and preliminary results point to high recovery rates by gravitation alone. A pre-feasibility report including a cut-off grade study and a report with reserves calculation is being compiled and will be submitted for state approval by year-end 2008 as set out in the license agreement.

At the Lyubov property in the Chita region, the 2007 exploration programme focused on two targets, the Lyubov gold trend in the south and the Khaverga ore field in the north of the license area. At the Lyubov gold trend our drill testing programme identified a stockwork-type mineralization within the Evgraf zone which hosts a potential resource of (C1+C2) + P2 category of 28 million tonnes grading 1.5 g/t of gold, based on drilling results from previous explorers and our own results to date. In 2008 an additional 9,500 metres of diamond drilling is planned on the Evgraf zone and its western extension in order to delineate the zone’s overall resource potential estimated at 4-5 Moz. of gold (C1+C2+P1). At the Khaverga ore field the analysis of our 2007 geochemical soil-sampling survey revealed a 4 km long and 1.5 km wide zone of distinct gold anomalies with high gold grades of 0.03-8.0 g/t occurring within unconsolidated sediments. The geochemical anomalies spatially coincide with a very favourable geological setting marked by a regional fracture zone which was identified also during our geophysical survey work in the area. The Company considers that the mineral resource potential of the Khaverga could be comparable to that of the Lyubov trend. A trenching and sampling programme is planned for 2008 to delineate targets for follow-up drilling.

In 2007 the Company completed the preliminary stage of geological exploration at its Unkurtash project in Kyrgyzstan and the adjoining Sarytube and Karytube prospects. Based on these results the overall resource potential has been estimated and the type and volume of future exploration works formulated in a new “Exploration Project” as per the regulatory requirement. Accordingly, a widespread gold mineralization occurs in parallel zones of steeply dipping stockworks which form an elongated belt 4,000m long and 250-500 metres wide with a vertical extent of at least 350 metres. Extrapolating from the most explored areas, results of our own and previous works indicate a total resource potential (C1+C2+P1) for the exploration properties of 200 million tonnes grading 1.5 g/t of gold. The 2008 exploration programme allocates 12,000 metres of drilling for potentially delineating resources of 60 tonnes of gold of C1+C2 category and 120 tonnes of P1 category.

Mr. Werner Klemens, Director Exploration at Highland Gold has reviewed and verified the information contained in this release. Mr. Klemens holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Toronto. He has 11 years of experience in mineral exploration and is fellow of the Geological Association of Canada. – A rigorous quality assurance programme complying to international standards is in effect at all exploration projects and includes duplicate sampling, insertion of standards and check assaying at external laboratories.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Henry Horne, Managing Director said: “These positive results underline the Company’s strong commitment to continue with its extensive exploration programme and highlights the potential that lies in our portfolio. Work at these as well as other prospects should contribute to the Company’s growth going forward.”
