ich denke die Erdölgeologen und Explorationsgeologen haben verstanden dass der code für die Turbidite offshore Namibia geknackt wurde. Bei den Investoren fällt der Groschen ein wenig langsamer. Ich jedenfalls finde diese Abbildungen einfach nur schön

Die bisherige Prognose sagte vorher, dass die Nachfrage nach Erdöl aufgrund strengerer Verbrauchsstandards und einer schnelleren Adaption von Elektrofahrzeugen bald ihren Zenit erreichen wird. Die aktuelle Vorhersage von Enverus deutet jedoch auf ein anderes Szenario hin.
Die Prognose der Internationalen Energieagentur (IEA), dass das Maximum der Ölnachfrage noch vor dem Jahr 2030 eintreten wird, hält Enverus für verfehlt. Stattdessen erwartet das Forschungsunternehmen, dass die Nachfrage nach Rohöl bis 2030 auf circa 108 Millionen Barrel pro Tag ansteigen wird. Diese Annahme basiert auf einer Studie, die am 9. April veröffentlicht wurde und liegt ungefähr drei Millionen Barrel pro Tag über den Vorjahresprognosen, wie ttnews.com berichtet.

Wenn man sich die Explorationserfolge von Shell, Total/AOI, Galp/Sintana in den Nachbarblöcken ansieht und wenn man die Chance sieht dass sich der erdölgeologische Trend in dem PCL Block fortsetzt und die Turbidite in Struktur und strategraphisch analog sind, dann kann man bei den verboten hohen Zahlen im Erfolgsfall bei so einem Kracher schon ein wenig unruhig werden

Guten Morgen. Mehr als still im Forum. Beiträge sind eigentlich vielversprechend. Leider wie immer keine positiven Kursentwicklungen. Der gelobte März hat auch nichts verändert. Jetzt heißt es warten. Der Vorstand von PCL wird jetzt schon sein Geld verdienen. Der Rest muss warten. So ist das Business. Die kleinen bekommen vom Kuchen nur die Krümel.

The French giant two years ago discovered Venus in the Orange basin and has moved fast to appraise this major ultra-deepwater field in an effort to fast-track its development via at least one floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
Kevin McLachlan, TotalEnergies' head of exploration, at last week’s BEOS event — organised by AAPG and GESGB — revealed intriguing details about Venus to a rapt audience, focusing on the “impressive” sub-surface findings to date from the discovery well and two completed drill stem tests, with another two DSTs under way. “We’re really pleased with what we have here. We’re still integrating results to confirm a development, but we think we will be there with the discoveries (Venus and Mangetti) we’ve made. We expect to see a first project confirmed later this year.”
In what was something of an understatement for an auditorium full of geologists, geophysicists and sedimentologists, McLachlan said: “I know all of you are keen to hear more about Venus,” before going on to highlight the scale of just one reservoir system uncovered by both TotalEnergies in Block 2913B and Shell in neighbouring Block 2913A. “It's very impressive. We're talking about a 150-kilometre system,” he said, stressing that the Albian reservoir is comprised of turbidites sitting directly on the source rock, so perfectly placed for being charged with hydrocarbons.
“We’ve interpreted a series of constrained flow systems that are very far-reaching and then spread out into very large, widespread channel lobes.” McLachlan said what is particularly “impressive” about Venus is the reservoir connectivity. “The vertical connectivity is very, very good. It's perfectly connected,” he explained, highlighting there is also “a good pressure connection between the appraisal well and the discovery well". TotalEnergies’ head of exploration said that the gas-oil-ratio is “high" and porosities are “good” and although permeabilities are “low”, the oil’s viscosity is “very good” which helps counteract this constraint. It is understood that while low permeability would be an issue with many oil reservoirs, the upside for Venus is that its crude has "super-low viscosity".
McLachlan said Venus’ oil in place reserves are “impressive” while stressing that it is “of course, about the recoverable resource”, which is what the supermajor is working on now. He did not reveal the size of Venus, although Namibia's authorities have previously stated the discovery holds 5 billion barrels of oil in place, of which 2 billion barrels are recoverable. As for Mangetti, Upstream was told recently that it could house 1.5 billion barrels of in-place reserves, with potential recoverable reserves of perhaps 600 million barrels."

Some very important geological information presented here by Kevin McLachlan and certainly relevent to the potential of the Saturn Aptian turbidite lobes. As an initial observation, the Venus text highlighted in blue below, and stressed by Kevin, should be very familiar with those following the Saturn geological story (turbidite lobes sitting directly on the Kudu Shale source rock, the same source rock as Venus.)
In my humble opinion, the 3D image of one of the reservoirs at Venus, is a quantitative interpretation (QI) product which likely includes seismic amplitude analysis and Amplitude vs Offset (AVO analysis). Whatever it is, it does an excellent job of imaging the turbidite systems at Venus. This is what we are all hoping that the WDS and PCL geologists and geophysicists are seeing over the Saturn turbidite systems. And a "bunch" more to boot". I would expect the Saturn 3D seismic to be of equal quality as that shown in Total Energies image below.

"Woodside Energy’s decision a year ago to secure a farm-in option over a promising exploration block in Namibia’s Orange basin is looking very astute based on the latest findings from a 3D seismic survey shot over the deepwater tract.
Last March, the Australian major struck a deal that gives it an option to take a 56% interest in Petroleum Exploration Licence 87, which is operated by PanContinental Energy, an Australia-listed minnow whose shares currently languish at A$0.02, or just over one US cent.
This block was already in a well-regarded exploration zip code, but since that deal was agreed, significant oil discoveries made this year by Galp Energia in the block immediately to the south and processed data from the 3D shoot, have made it an even more desirable address.
Woodside can secure a stake in PEL 87 — which covers Block 2713 — in return for, among other things, paying the full cost of the 5600 square kilometre 3D seismic survey that was completed last May.
Once it has received the remaining seismic products and secures a seismic licence, the Australian major has up to 180 days to exercise this option.
In late January, Woodside and PanContinental received final post-stack depth migration (PSDM) products from the shoot which are now being interpreted to initially assess the block’s key geological plays, before a deep dive into individual prospects.
Iain Smith, board advisor to PanContinental, told investors today that Galp’s discoveries combined with results from the 3D survey leave the company “sitting pretty” in block 2713.
Before the new 3D seismic data was acquired, the exploration target PanContinental had always highlighted was Saturn.
But that has all changed, with Smith now talking about prospectivity “across variety of formations and ages, not just Saturn; we’re very pleased with what we’ve seen so far. “We’re extremely encouraged by the prospectivity”.
He explained that the interpretation process for such as large survey is labour-intensive and takes time to get right.
“We’re not simply looking for structures. We’re looking for quite subtle features and not just structures,” he said, adding that the interpretation teams will be looking for amplitude-versus-offset anomalies as well as direct hydrocarbon indicators.
Smith said seven Cretaceous play concepts have been identified to date — in a variety of structural, stratigraphic and combination trapping styles — with additional non-Cretaceous plays, including Tertiary, under evaluation.
What are known as seismic “bright” spots — widely regarded as potential hydrocarbon indicators — have also been mapped.
The 180-day clock has yet to start ticking on Woodside option, and will only be triggered when it receives all seismic products and it secures the seismic licence.

Vielen schreiben, dass im März noch etwas passieren soll. Bin gespannt! Allerdings wurden schon viel Kurssprünge angekündigt. Bleibt spannend.
Psychiater find ich zu hart. Wenn man in so eine Aktie investiert, muss einem klar sein, dass man Glück haben muss, wenn aus einer Pennystockaktie was „Großes“ wird. Deshalb sollte diese Plattform dafür genutzt werden, um alle beteiligten Personen mit Informationen zu versorgen. Egal ob gute oder schlechte Nachrichten über die Aktie.

Der erdölgeologische Trend im Oranje Basin setzt sich mit den Entdeckungen in den Blöcken von Shell, Total (Africa Oil) und Galp (Sintana) eindeutig nach Norden fort. Sobald Chevron (Sintana) und Woodside (Pancontinental, Sintana) in den weiter nördlichen Blöcken ihre geplanten Explorationsbohrungen abgeteuft haben, werden wir wissen ob dieser Trend our friend ist und sich weiter nach Norden parallel zur Küste hinter dem kontinentalen Abbruch auf der ozeanischen Platte in den turbititischen Sedimentfächern fortsetzt. Keine Garantie aber so eine near field exploration hat von Haus aus eine höhere Erfolgswahrscheinlichkeit als eine einsame wild cat auf der grünen Wiese. Die Ölfirmen wissen inzwischen in Namibia Offshore im Oranje Basin, auf welche Kriterien sie achten müssen um erfolgreich Kohlenwasserstoffe zu finden. Die Zeiten sind lange vorbei als geologische Koriphäen sich aus dem Fenster gelehnt haben und fest und steif behauptet haben: In Namibia gibt es keine Kohlenwasserstoffe bzw. und wenn doch dann höchstens wertloses Gas - über 30 trockene Bohrungen in der Vergangenheit haben ihnen auch bis zu den graff und Venus Entdeckungen recht gegeben.
Ganz ehrlich ich glaube nicht an einen lukrativen Ölfund. Diese Hypes habe ich leider schon öfters erlebt. Aber ich lasse mich gerne vom Gegenteil überzeugen. Bin mit einer kleinen Position drin und schau mir das an.
