Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace and defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and solar industries, announced today record revenue for the fourth quarter of 2009 - the highest quarterly revenue in the company’s history.

Highlights of the fourth quarter of 2009 include:

Record revenue: Eyelit posted record revenue for the fourth quarter of 2009; a new high in single-quarter revenue in Eyelit’s history. Eyelit nearly doubled the number of new customer wins in 2009 over 2008. In the fourth quarter, new wins included another 200-mm wafer fab customer from the semiconductor industry, along with a roll-to-roll thin film, CIGS solar manufacturer from the photovoltaic (PV) industry, bringing the total to five new solar customers added in 2009. Eyelit also realized a significant contribution in earnings from its existing customers during the fourth quarter with new upgrades and expansion in existing factories.

Increasing global footprint and company growth: In 2009, Eyelit added new customers in Belgium, Brazil, and France. Eyelit’s software is now making its mark on 5 continents. Eyelit is expanding its relationship with its German partner SYSTEMA beyond Europe. Eyelit also added a new reseller partnership in South America in the fourth quarter that resulted in a new customer win. Eyelit has hired staff in both North America and Asia and is continuing its recruitment efforts to keep up with growing demand for its products.

Solar industry drives Eyelit’s growth: The solar industry continues to drive Eyelit’s growth, Eyelit having added a wide range of solar manufacturing companies to its customer base in 2009. Eyelit signed new solar manufacturing customers in thin-film photovoltaic (PV), UMG-silicon photovoltaic (PV), concentrator photovoltaic (CPV), mono- and multi-crystalline silicon wafers for photovoltaic (PV) and silicon photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing. Among these customers are some of the of the largest solar production sites in the world, as well as emerging technology companies.

"We finished the fourth quarter even better than we had expected. We are seeing contributions from multiple industries, led by solar and semiconductor. We expect growth again in 2010, and we are well positioned to support and sustain the expected increase in demand through our recent and continued staff recruitment. With a record high in new MES customer wins in 2009, we expect that our established customers will contribute much more to our future growth. As the semiconductor industry recovers, we look forward to more legacy semiconductor MES migrations to Eyelit MES. We are seeing more interest from companies using FACTORYworks, PROMIS, and Workstream MES solutions looking to modernize and lower the total cost of ownership of their factory software," said Dan Estrada, Vice-President of Sales and Business Development.

Eyelit Inc. Announces Record-High Revenue and Profit in the Second Quarter of 2012
Eyelit achieves a 40% year-over-year boost in revenue for the first half of 2012

August 17, 2012 5:56 PM Eastern Daylight Time
TORONTO, Canada—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announces outstanding growth in the first half of 2012.

      Business Results

In the first half of 2012, Eyelit’s revenue increased in key aspects of the business, namely software licenses, professional services, and product support. A large number of sales to new customers drove the dramatic growth, resulting in a threefold increase in services revenue as compared to the same period in 2011. The overall, second-quarter revenue was the highest in the company’s history. Accordingly, Eyelit is hiring additional staff in North America, Asia, and Europe, and securing new business partnerships in Asia in order to keep pace with the rapid growth.

      Migrations from Legacy Systems

Eyelit’s customer base continued to expand with companies that wanted to move away from legacy systems and adopt Eyelit’s technologically advanced MES. Key wins were companies from the Applied Materials customer base, including Eyelit’s first customer to migrate from Applied Materials’ FactoryWorks MES. Following its success in migrating several of its customers’ PROMIS MES sites, Eyelit is now helping other customers migrate from FactoryWorks, WorkStream, and other aging systems. Common factors in customers’ decisions to switch to Eyelit include reduced costs and risks, and elimination of many custom applications, which had been developed in-house to fill functional gaps in old systems.

      Product Development

In addition to product enhancements, two new software modules were released in the first half of 2012 to address customer requests. The Eyelit Mobile Web Portal™ provides “anywhere access” to manufacturing and quality information through smartphones, tablets, and other portable, web-enabled devices. The Eyelit Automated Data Services™ module incorporates innovative scripting capabilities to enable end-users to automate communications between factory systems and enterprise applications, resulting in a significant reduction in the cost and complexity of data integration.

"Eyelit’s record growth is a testament to the inherent value of our software solutions and our entire team. We are thrilled to help so many companies make quantum leaps in technology by implementing our state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions to keep pace with their evolving business and information technology needs,” stated Dan Estrada, Eyelit’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “In addition to this success, we recently concluded one of Eyelit’s largest deals, which is not included in our record second quarter. We expect the second half of 2012 to be an exciting time for Eyelit and anticipate more record-breaking achievements."
