      6/8/2010-Shares of Orbitz Worldwide (NYSE:OWW) are trading over 11% higher after the company named Chris Orton as its Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.
      Orton leaves eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY), where he served as senior director of Internet marketing, and was responsible for the company's paid search, shopping comparison and SEO.

      Expedia To Acquire Orbitz Worldwide For $12 Per Share In Cash

      BELLEVUE, Wash. and CHICAGO, Feb. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement under which it will acquire Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: OWW), including all of Orbitz Worldwide's brands, for $12.00 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of approximately $1.6 billion, and a premium of approximately 29% over the volume weighted average share price for the five trading days up to and including February 11, 2015.

      The Boards of Directors of both companies have approved the transaction, which is subject to approval by the shareholders of a majority of Orbitz Worldwide's common stock and other customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals. The Board of Directors of Orbitz Worldwide received a fairness opinion from Qatalyst Partners and has recommended that its stockholders vote in favor of the merger.

      Orbitz Worldwide Stockholders Approve Acquisition by Expedia
      Transaction Remains Subject to Regulatory Approval

      CHICAGO, May 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

      Orbitz Worldwide (NYSE:OWW) announced that at its annual stockholders meeting today in Chicago, stockholders approved the merger agreement providing for the acquisition of Orbitz Worldwide by Expedia, Inc. (Nasdaq:EXPE). Approximately 74 percent of the shares outstanding voted in favor of the transaction. More than 99 percent of the votes cast were in favor of the transaction.

      Expedia, Inc. and Orbitz Worldwide announced their entry into the merger agreement on Feb. 12, 2015, whereby Expedia agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Orbitz Worldwide at $12 per share. On March 25, the two companies announced that they had each received a request for additional information and documentary material ("second request") from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of the agency's regulatory review. The two companies continue to fully cooperate with the DOJ. The transaction also remains subject to additional customary closing conditions.
