Apricus Biosciences Files Phase 3 Registration Protocol for PrevOnco™ for Special Protocol Assessment Consideration by the FDA
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apricus Biosciences, Inc., (“Apricus Bio”) (Nasdaq: APRI) today announced that it has filed the protocol for a proposed Phase 3 clinical trial of PrevOnco™, its proprietary treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA will review the protocol under its Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) program, under which the FDA would give approval for the trial’s design, clinical endpoints and statistical analysis. The Phase 3 study is expected to take about 12-24 months depending on the recruitment of patients. If the trial shows positive results within the parameters agreed upon in the SPA, the data would then be expected to provide the basis for the filing of a New Drug Application for marketing approval of PrevOnco in the U.S.
“Fifteen years worth of experience using lansoprazol to treat ulcers has shown that the drug is safe for human use. We have also seen strong anti-cancer activity in mice bearing human liver tumors. As a result, we are optimistic that PrevOnco to do well in the clinic.”
The FDA granted PrevOnco Orphan Drug status in August 2008. The product incorporates lansoprazole, a commonly marketed anti-ulcer compound which has shown strong anti-cancer activity in mice bearing human liver tumors. The Phase 3 study will enroll up to 218 patients who have advanced, unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma who no longer respond to Nexavar® (the currently marketed first-line anti-cancer treatment for patients with this type of liver cancer). The subjects will receive Nexavar and doxorubicin (the widely used chemotherapy anti-cancer drug), plus either PrevOnco or a placebo. Nexavar is marketed in the U.S. by Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, Inc., with close to $1 billion in sales, and is approved in more than 90 countries for the treatment of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Dr. Bassam Damaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio, noted, "Fifteen years worth of experience using lansoprazol to treat ulcers has shown that the drug is safe for human use. We have also seen strong anti-cancer activity in mice bearing human liver tumors. As a result, we are optimistic that PrevOnco to do well in the clinic.”
In addition, the Company has developed a new, oral lansoprazole formulation incorporating its clinically validated, proprietary NexACT® drug delivery technology, which is designed to potentially reduce the lansoprazole dose needed in humans by seven times, based on data generated in non-human primate studies. The Company may seek FDA approval to switch the current lansoprazole formulation with the NexACT formulation of lansoprazole following a Phase I human pharmacokinetic equivalency bridging study.

Apricus Bio Announces Pre-Clinical Data Showing Significant Improvement in Solubility and Absorption of NexACT®-Based Small Molecule Drugs Selected from the Biopharmaceutics Classification System
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apricus Biosciences, Inc., (“Apricus Bio”) (Nasdaq: APRI) today announced data from animal studies showing that the NexACT® technology significantly improved the oral delivery of five small molecule drugs tested, with the best improvements up to 20-fold, in terms of improvement in absorption. A total of 10 small molecule therapeutic drugs with known low solubility and/or permeability, according to the Biopharmaceuticals (“BCS”) Classification System, were selected for these studies, and represented the following classes: anti-inflammatory drugs, diuretics, anti-hypertensives, antibiotics, anti-psychotics, anti-Parkinson agents and proton pump inhibitors.
The BCS, developed by Professor Gordon L. Amidon from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan, separates drugs into four quadrants depending on their solubility and permeability. Class 1 drugs are high solubility and high permeability, Class 2 low solubility and high permeability, Class 3 high solubility and low permeability, and Class 4 low solubility and low permeability. In the Apricus Bio studies, the compounds that showed the most improvement when formulated with the NEXACT technology were in Classes 2 and 4, where solubility is a determining factor.
Commenting on today’s news, Dr. Bassam Damaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio, stated, “Drugs are classified according to their solubility and permeability. This early data shows that the inclusion of NexACT can significantly improve the oral delivery of some small molecules by positively affecting their solubility, which affects absorption. Over time, this could open up exciting new partnership opportunities, especially for promising drug candidates that did not reach, or successfully pass through clinical development, because of poor solubility. Our goal is to make a major breakthrough in the utilization of NexACT to improve and/or enable the delivery of difficult-to-absorb compounds.”

Apricus Biosciences Receives Canadian Approval for Vitaros® as First Line Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apricus Biosciences, Inc. (“Apricus Bio”) (Nasdaq: APRI), announced today that Health Canada has granted marketing approval for Vitaros® as a first-line therapy for erectile dysfunction. Vitaros® is Apricus Bio’s proprietary, topically-applied, on-demand treatment for erectile dysfunction.
“We at Apricus Bio are thrilled to have received this approval from Health Canada. The achievement of this milestone is a testament to the focus and dedication of the Apricus Bio team and our success in executing on our stated growth strategy.”
Commenting on today’s news, Bassam Damaj, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio, stated, “We at Apricus Bio are thrilled to have received this approval from Health Canada. The achievement of this milestone is a testament to the focus and dedication of the Apricus Bio team and our success in executing on our stated growth strategy.”
Dr. Damaj continued, “Data from our clinical trials showed that patients responded to treatment within minutes of applying Vitaros. Now, for the first time, men suffering from erectile dysfunction will have access to a patient-friendly, on-demand topical treatment. We view this Canadian approval as a validation of the NexACT technology as a transdermal delivery mechanism that is safe and effective. We intend to quickly finalize our marketing strategy to bring the product to the Canadian patient population. In addition, we will use this approval as the basis for seeking registration of the product for marketing in over 100 international markets.”
Vitaros® incorporates alprostadil, a well-recognized vasodilator that is currently marketed as an injectable product or an intra-urethral insert product for patients with erectile dysfunction. Apricus Bio incorporated its proprietary NexACT drug delivery technology in the development of Vitaros as a patient-friendly topically-applied treatment for erectile dysfunction.
The product has been studied in over 3,300 patients including difficult to treat populations (diabetes, cardiac problems, sildenafil (Viagra®) failures and post prostatectomy patients). Vitaros demonstrated clinical efficacy and excellent safety profile versus the currently approved oral therapies, and is not contraindicated for patients taking alpha blockers or nitrate medication. Viagra® is a registered trademark of Pfizer.

This is the first in a series of commercialization agreements which we plan to execute for Vitaros. We look forward to working with Bracco and are confident in their ability to establish Vitaros as a major ED therapy. Given the company's proven success in building new markets, Bracco is a logical partner for launching this product in Italy."
About Vitaros and the ED Market
According to IMS Health data, the ED market in Italy was estimated at $192 million (for the 12 months ending October 31, 2010), which is the largest in Europe and dominated by oral PDE5 treatments. However, there is still a need for new, safe and effective treatments, especially for those patients who cannot or do not respond well to oral medication. Vitaros differs from oral PDE5 drugs like Viagra(R), Cialis(R) and Levitra(R) in two ways. First, it is applied directly to the penis as a cream, instead of as a pill that is absorbed systemically. The topical application helps to reduce side effects and enables men who cannot take, or do not do well with the existing drugs, to have a patient-friendly alternative.
Second, Vitaros operates by a different biochemical mechanism than oral ED medications, and causes erections to occur in a more localized fashion and more quickly when compared to oral treatments. Vitaros contains a previously marketed ED drug, known by the chemical name of alprostadil. When absorbed through the skin, alprostadil, a vasodilator, directly boosts blood flow, thereby causing an erection. Clinical studies have shown that Vitaros works in a matter of minutes, compared to a reported onset time of 30 minutes or more for oral medications indicated for the treatment of ED. The side effects reported were localized and transient.
Alprostadil is currently marketed as an injectable drug or as a suppository inserted into the urethra. Apricus Bio incorporated alprostadil with its NexACT(R) delivery technology, resulting in a rapid and efficient topical delivery of the drug into the penis. In clinical studies, Vitaros worked in patients suffering from mild to severe ED, including men who did not respond to Viagra.
Viagra is a registered trademark of Pfizer, Inc.; Cialis is a registered trademark of Lilly, USA; Levitra, is a registered trademark of Bayer A.G.; Vitaros is a registered trademark in Canada held by Apricus Bio, and in the U.S. held by Warner Chilcott Company.

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apricus Biosciences, Inc., ("Apricus Bio") (Nasdaq:APRI - News) today announced that the Japanese Patent Office recently issued a Decision to Grant a Patent for the Company's development of a topical cream that utilizes vasoactive prostaglandin E to treat premature ejaculation ("PE"), entitled, "Compositions and Methods for the Treatment of Premature Ejaculation." This patent, when issued, will provide Japanese patent protection until March 2024, and is one in a series of issued patents and pending applications that Apricus Bio owns in the male sexual dysfunction field utilizing its proprietary NexACT(R) technology, which includes its Vitaros(R) product to treat erectile dysfunction ("ED"), among others in research and development.
Commenting on today's news, Dr. Bassam Damaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio, stated, "We are very pleased with this patent allowance in Japan for the use of vasoactive prostaglandin E to treat PE, which includes the same pharmaceutical composition as Vitaros(R), combined with a local anesthetic. While we are aggressively pursuing licensing applications for Vitaros(R), we are also developing related products utilizing our NexACT(R) technology that may add to the value of our existing portfolio of drugs to treat sexual dysfunction. We are very excited about the issuance of this newest patent and we are actively seeking patent protection for this PE application in the U.S. and in other countries."
Currently approved by Health Canada for marketing and sales for patients with ED, Vitaros(R), a topical cream, incorporates alprostadil, a well-recognized vasodilator currently marketed by other companies as an injectable product or an intra-urethral insert. Vitaros(R) has been studied in over 3,300 patients, including difficult to treat populations such as those with diabetes, cardiac problems, sildenafil (Viagra(R)) failures and post prostatectomy patients. Vitaros(R) has demonstrated clinical efficacy and an excellent safety profile versus the currently approved oral therapies, and is not contraindicated for patients taking alpha blockers or nitrate medication. Viagra(R) is a registered trademark of Pfizer, Inc.
Apricus Bio is currently studying the use of vasoactive prostaglandin E, combined with and without local anesthetics, to develop a topical cream to treat premature ejaculation. The Company has completed three clinical studies to date on this application, including two single-blind studies and one double-blind study.
The Company's PE patent portfolio currently consists of three issued patents (Australia, Singapore and soon-to- be Japan) and nine pending applications (the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Israel).
According to Datamonitor 2010, "Premature ejaculation is a commonly yet poorly understood and defined male condition. Prevalence estimates vary greatly from 4% to 29% as stated by a study done by Simons and Carey (2001), according to the different definitions used. The disorder is currently severely undertreated and off-label preion of selective serontonin reuptake inhibitors("SSRIs") is the most common treatment pathway in the seven major markets."

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apricus Biosciences, Inc. ("Apricus Bio") (Nasdaq:APRI - News) today announced that an additional analysis conducted on behalf of the Company has shown that MycoVa(TM) has successfully demonstrated 'non-inferiority' for the treatment of onychomycosis (commonly referred to as nail fungus), compared to the current standard of care in Europe for topical therapy, Loceryl(R).
'Non-inferiority' means that the experimental treatment worked well enough, compared to the effective existing drug, to support the conclusion that the new test drug is also effective. With this new analysis, Apricus Bio intends to request regulatory guidance from certain European agencies for the continued development of MycoVa(TM) and hopes to eventually file for approval in certain European countries to market the drug for onychomycosis. "We are very pleased with this new analysis," says Dr. Bassam Damaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio. "We believe it may allow us to move forward towards eventual approval of the drug."
MycoVa(TM)(formally known as NM100060) combines an existing, approved drug for nail fungus, terbinafine, with Apricus' NexACT(R) technology that enhances the absorption of the drug through the skin. Clinical trials on the drug started after 2005, when NexMed (now known as Apricus Bio) signed an agreement with Novartis, under which Novartis assumed responsibility to develop and commercialize the drug.
The first clinical trials did not show clear-cut efficacy, and in 2008, NexMed announced that the results were not strong enough to support filing for new drug approval with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Novartis declined to continue to develop the drug in 2009, and NexMed acquired the worldwide rights to the drug, subject to certain payments to be made to Novartis.
A later trial conducted by Novartis in Europe between 2007 and 2009, comparing MycoVa(TM) with Loceryl(R) over 48 weeks, was more promising. The reanalysis of the comparator trial data announced today shows that MycoVa(TM) is no less effective than Loceryl(R)in curing nail fungus. The percentage of patients with an adverse event that was suspected to be related to study drug was low for both drugs with no serious adverse events attributed to the drugs. There also were no safety concerns.
"We were disappointed that Novartis did not move forward with the drug in 2009, but we were excited when we regained worldwide rights, subject to certain payments to Novartis," explained Dr. Damaj. "We were convinced at that time, and remain so today, that MycoVa(TM) had, and has, the potential to treat patients with mild onychomycosis. The analysis that we have recently performed has convinced us to move forward and request regulatory guidance meetings from health agencies in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany."
In the study, 1,029 patients with mild to moderate nail fungus were given either MycoVa(TM) (a topical 10% terbinafine hydrogen chloride formulation) or Loceryl(R) (5% amorolfine nail lacquer) for 48 weeks of treatment. The primary objective endpoint was a complete cure. The secondary endpoints were killing the fungus and improving the appearance of the nail.
The reanalysis of the results showed no significant difference in either the primary or secondary endpoints between MycoVa(TM) and Loceryl(R),which is a registered trademark of Galderma.
The advantage of Apricus Bio's MycoVa(TM) is that it is easy to apply, thus improving patient compliance. MycoVa(TM) is applied to the infected nails, typically at bedtime, with minimal preparation, such as simply washing with soap and water. The formulation allows significant amounts of the drug to penetrate through the nail plate to the nail bed and surrounding area where fungus is located. By contrast, Loceryl(R) requires more patient care before applying the lacquer. For Loceryl(R), this includes filing the affected areas of nail, including the nail surfaces, as thoroughly as possible. The surface of the nail should then be cleansed using disposable swabs. The nail lacquer should be applied onto the entire surface of the infected nail(s) using reusable applicators. Before repeat application of Loceryl(R), the affected nails should be filed down again as required, following cleansing with a cleaning pad to remove any residual lacquer.
Onychomycosis is a chronic persistent fungal infection of the nail bed resulting in thickening and discoloration of the nail, which sometimes can be accompanied by serious pain and disability. According to the Merck Manual, the worldwide incidence rate of onychomycosis is approximately 10%. As described by Iorizzo and Piraccini (2007), the incidence has been increasing due to diabetes, immunosuppression and an aging population. While occurring in approximately 2.6% of children younger than 18 years, it occurs in as much as 90% of the elderly population (eMedicine.medscape.com). As of 2008, Thomson Reuters Pharma has stated that the worldwide market is approximately $2.8 billion in size and is expected to grow to approximately $2.9 billion by 2014.

Hallo hennep
Will mich künftig hier etwas äußern.

Keiner beißt an.

Also höchste Zeit, daß sich was tut.

20 Mill. US $ vorstellen.
Ich erinnere mich an die "SENETEK". Diese Firma wurde von Heiko
Thieme sehr stark empfohlen. Die haben auch ein Potenzmittel 1997
der Firma "Schering" angeboten. Schering wollte es haben und war
bereit 30 Millionen US $ Upfront zu bezahlen.

a b e r wieviel Zeit darf es in Anspruch nehmen?
steckt, also vor "approval", damit keine Zeit verloren geht.

Schauen wir mal was heute passiert.

Viele optimisten zweifeln jetzt.

Apricus Biosciences, Inc. ("Apricus Bio" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:APRI) (http://www.apricusbio.com) announced today that the Korean Patent Office recently issued a Notice of Allowance to grant a patent for the Company's development of a topical cream utilizing vasoactive prostaglandin E to treat premature ejaculation ("PE"), When issued, the patent, entitled, "Compositions and Methods for the Treatment of Premature Ejaculation," will provide Korean patent protection until March 2024. It is one in a series of issued patents and pending applications that Apricus Bio owns in the male sexual dysfunction field utilizing its proprietary NexACT® technology, which includes its Vitaros® product to treat erectile dysfunction ("ED"), among others in research and development.
Commenting on today's news, Dr. Bassam Damaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Bio, commented, "We are very pleased with this patent allowance in South Korea for the use of vasoactive prostaglandin E to treat PE. This allowed patent includes the same pharmaceutical composition as Vitaros®, combined with a local anesthetic. We are aggressively seeking marketing approval from various regulatory authorities and pursuing partnership transaction applications for Vitaros® for erectile dysfunction, and are also developing related products utilizing our NexACT® technology that may add to the value of our existing portfolio of drugs to treat various types of sexual dysfunction. In addition to the issuance of this new Korean patent, we are actively seeking patent protection for this PE application in the U.S. and in other key countries."
Vitaros® has been approved by Health Canada for marketing and sales for patients with ED and the Company has filed for marketing approval for the drug for this indication in the European Union and Switzerland. Vitaros® is a topical cream that incorporates alprostadil, a well-recognized vasodilator currently marketed by other companies as an injectable product or an intra-urethral insert. The drug has been studied in over 3,300 patients, including difficult to treat populations, such as those with diabetes, cardiac problems, sildenafil (Viagra®) failures and post prostatectomy patients. Vitaros® has demonstrated clinical efficacy and an excellent safety profile versus the currently approved oral therapies, and is not contraindicated for patients taking alpha blockers or nitrate medication. Viagra® is a registered trademark of Pfizer, Inc.
Apricus Bio is currently studying the use of vasoactive prostaglandin E, combined with and without local anesthetics, to develop a topical cream to treat PE. To date, the Company has completed three clinical studies for this application, including two single-blind studies and one double-blind study.
The Company's PE patent portfolio currently consists of four issued patents (Australia, Singapore, Japan and soon-to-be Korea) and eight pending applications (the U.S., Canada, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, China, Hong Kong and Israel).
According to Datamonitor 2010, "Premature ejaculation is a commonly yet poorly understood and defined male condition. Prevalence estimates vary greatly from 4% to 29% as stated by a study done by Simons and Carey (2001), according to the different definitions used. The disorder is currently severely undertreated and off-label prescription of selective serontonin reuptake inhibitors ("SSRIs") is the most common treatment pathway in the seven major markets."
About Apricus Biosciences, Inc.
Apricus Bio, a San Diego-based, revenue-generating, biopharmaceutical company, has leveraged the flexibility of its clinically-validated NexACT® drug delivery technology to enable multi-route administration of new and improved compounds across numerous therapeutic classes.
Revenues and growth are driven from out-licensing of this technology for the development and commercialization of such compounds to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide. In addition, the Company is seeking to monetize its existing Rx Division product pipeline, including its first product, Vitaros®, approved in Canada for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, which is currently expected to be available on the Canadian market in 2011, as well as compounds in development from pre-clinical through Phase III, currently focused on Sexual Dysfunction, Oncology, Dermatology, Autoimmune, Pain, Anti-Infectives, Diabetes and Cosmeceuticals among others.
The Company is also developing its Consumer Healthcare Division by developing a number of drugs that utilize the Company's NexACT® technology to comply with the FDA's over-the-counter ("OTC") requirements, can be cleared as 510(k) topical creams that are considered to be medical devices or approved as Abbreviated New Drug Applications ("ANDAs") as generic drugs. The Company will also seek to market such drugs through these similar procedures in foreign countries.

(so ähnlich).

In addition, the Company is seeking to monetize its existing Rx Division product pipeline, including its first product, Vitaros®, approved in Canada for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, as well as compounds in development from pre-clinical through Phase III, currently focused on Sexual Dysfunction, Oncology, Dermatology, Autoimmune, Pain, Anti-Infectives, Diabetes and Cosmeceuticals among others.
The Company will also seek to market such drugs through these similar procedures in Japan and other countries.
In addition, the Company is seeking to in-license and acquire revenue generating, FDA and other regulatory approved and marketed drugs to add to its product portfolio and future revenue stream.

Hallo

Überall Schwindel wo man hingreift.
Sehe den Kurs von Apri bei 2.50 Euro diese Woche.
Bin mal wieder geschlagen.

hallo Pflicht,

einlegen.
Auf einen schönen Wochenauftakt...
Gruß

Abbott Labs ist der Partner für Kanada.
Apri bekommt 16 Mill upfront.

Alles will raus....
Was ist nur falsch an dieser Aktie ?

Hallo Lunatics,

genommen. Hier ist es umgekehrt. Für mich nicht
verständlich. Schon zwei Jahre in Canada und keine Tube
verkauft.
Approval in EU vor Monaten. Keine Tube verkauft.
begonnen.
Für mich unzweifelhaft ein schreckliches Versagermanagement.
Der Grieche als Board-Member abgewählt ist neuer Board Chef.
Wie geht sowas zusammen?

Net loss decreased to $16.9 million, or $0.49 per share, for the year ended December 31, 2013, compared to a net loss of $31.8 million, or $1.16 per share for the year ended December 31, 2012. The higher revenue in the 2012 periods compared to 2013 relates primarily to the lower contract services revenues related to the former French subsidiaries in the 2013 periods and due to the timing of recognition of up-front license fees for Vitaros(R) license transactions. The lower net loss in 2013 relates to the absence in 2013 of the non-cash charge related to the former French subsidiaries and the 2012 losses from discontinued operations.
In 2013, Apricus raised a net of $16.6 million in cash from financing activities, and the Company realized $8.1 million in cash from the sale of non-core assets. As of December 31, 2013, cash and cash equivalents totaled $21.4 million, compared to $15.1 million as of December 31, 2012.
2014 Financial Outlook
In 2014, Apricus received an additional $4.5 million in cash for up-front license fees related to the recent Vitaros(R) European license agreements announced over the last few months. Apricus believes the Company has an appropriate level of cash now to support the current operating plan into mid-2015.
In 2014, Apricus expects to generate cash from the potential out-license of Femprox(R) and late in 2014, expects to begin to realize initial royalty revenues from partner sales of Vitaros(R). Apricus' expenditures will include costs in support of the further development of the Vitaros(R) Room Temperature Device, for activities associated with supporting commercialization and launches of Vitaros(R) in Europe, and potentially for new clinical development programs.

Hallo Kimbel!

Apricus Biosciences Announces Last Patient Enrolled in RayVa(TM) Phase 2a Clinical Trial for Raynaud's Phenomenon in Patients With Scleroderma
AN DIEGO, June 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apricus Biosciences, Inc. (APRI), a biopharmaceutical company advancing innovative medicines in urology and rheumatology, today announced that it has enrolled the last patient in its RayVa(TM) Phase 2a proof-of-concept study. The Company expects to report top-line data in the third quarter of 2015 in advance of potentially moving RayVa into a pivotal Phase 2b trial following further guidance discussions with the FDA.
The compound is being studied at four US sites in a Phase 2a proof-of-concept study in patients with scleroderma who also suffer from Raynaud's Phenomenon. RayVa is an internally developed, globally-owned compound consisting of alprostadil in a DDAIP.HCl permeation enhancer. This study is designed with a cold challenge meant to induce a Raynaud's episode followed by an assessment of the safety and tolerability, the effect of study medication on hand temperature and heat distribution based on thermography, and hemodynamic changes measured by laser doppler. The study is assessing three doses of RayVa plus placebo in a crossover design, where each subject receives one of three doses of study medication and a dose of placebo, thus serving as their own control.
Apricus initiated a Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) in the first quarter of this year to assist in the prospective assessment of safety, tolerability and overall benefit to risk. To date, there have been no safety or tolerability concerns evident from the Company's review of blinded data or changes to the course of the study recommended by the DMC. Following the last patient visit, the Company will close and lock the database, complete an analysis of the final data, optimize the formulation required for future pivotal studies, and prepare the protocols for Phase 2b and 3 studies. Once the final data is available and study designs are completed, Apricus intends to seek advice from the FDA regarding the scope of the development program through to the NDA filing.
"Apricus is seeking to accelerate our move into a more "real world setting", by advancing RayVa into later phase development. The subsequent studies will be based on at-home, on-demand treatment of spontaneous Raynaud's episodes, and will further assess safety, tolerability and efficacy of one or more doses," said Barbara Troupin, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Apricus Biosciences. "Further, with no current acute treatment options for Raynaud's Phenomenon in this patient population, Apricus is eager to move the compound forward in the clinic in an effort to provide relief for patients suffering from this debilitating condition."
About RayVa(TM)
RayVa(TM) is the proprietary name for Apricus' product candidate for the treatment of Raynaud's phenomenon associated with scleroderma (systemic sclerosis). The RayVa product combines alprostadil (prostaglandin E1), a potent vasodilator, with Apricus' proprietary permeation enhancer, DDAIP.HCl, and is applied as an on-demand topical cream to affected extremities. RayVa may qualify for FDA priority review, given the unmet medical need and lack of approved products in the United States to treat secondary Raynaud's phenomenon in patients with systemic sclerosis. Apricus anticipates submitting a New Drug Application for RayVa as early as 2017.
About Raynaud's Phenomenon
Raynaud's phenomenon is characterized by vasoconstriction in response to cold or stress of the hands and feet, resulting in reduced blood flow and the sensation of pain, which can be severe. Primary Raynaud's phenomenon, which is not associated with an underlying medical condition, affects an estimated 3-5% of the US population.1,2 Secondary Raynaud's phenomenon, is driven by an underlying medical condition, such as scleroderma, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis.2 Symptoms are severe and patients risk associated fingertip ulcerations. There are an estimated 100,000 adult patients with scleroderma in the US3, of which approximately 90% have secondary Raynaud's phenomenon2. Approximately 80% of scleroderma patients are women.4 Both primary and secondary Raynaud's phenomenon disproportionately affects women.5 There is currently no approved therapy for Raynaud's phenomenon in the United States, representing an unmet medical need.

Apricus Biosciences Enters Into License Agreement With Allergan for the U.S. Rights to Vitaros(TM)
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apricus Biosciences, Inc. (APRI), a biopharmaceutical company advancing innovative medicines in urology and rheumatology, today announced that it has licensed the U.S. development and commercialization rights for Vitaros(TM) from Allergan. Under the license agreement, Apricus will be responsible for all Vitaros development efforts in the United States. Upon the Food and Drug Administration's ("FDA") acceptance of a New Drug Application ("NDA") for Vitaros, Allergan may elect to exercise its one time opt-in right to assume all future marketing and selling activities in the United States in exchange for certain financial considerations.
Vitaros is a novel, on-demand topical cream for the treatment of erectile dysfunction ("ED") and a new potential entrant into the U.S. ED treatment market. On February 3, 2009, Warner Chilcott, now a subsidiary of Allergan, acquired the U.S. rights to Vitaros from Apricus. Since that time, Vitaros has been approved by the European health authorities and by Health Canada, and is currently being promoted by Apricus' licensees throughout Europe.
Richard Pascoe, Chief Executive Officer of Apricus, commented, "We are pleased to announce this transaction for the return of the U.S. Vitaros rights to Apricus and we look forward to working with Allergan to transition the regulatory submission back within our organization. This agreement creates a framework where both parties can leverage their respective strengths with the goal of bringing this novel topical treatment to the world's largest ED market, which had sales of over $3 billion in 2014 according to IMS Health. Moreover, we believe that with Apricus' broad Vitaros expertise and internal know-how, coupled with our proven success in obtaining regulatory approvals for Vitaros in other territories, we are well equipped to pursue regulatory approval for Vitaros in the U.S."
Mr. Pascoe will discuss the transaction during his presentation at the Rodman & Renshaw 17th Annual Global Investment Conference on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 4:40 p.m. Eastern Time. A live audio webcast of the presentation and the presentation slides can be accessed via the Investor Relations section of Apricus' website at www.apricusbio.com.

Ich habe einfach keinen Durchblick, was da läuft.

einem möglichem nahestehenden bay-out.
Dies könnte schon im I. Quartal 2016 passieren.
Was meint Ihr dazu ?

Ich frage mich, was steckt dahinter?

Moin moin,
Kurs seit einiger Zeit nicht weiter stark fallend.
Bin gespannt, ob nun mal eine kleinere Erholungswelle anläuft.
Was meint ihr?
Gruß

Ola,
