Das Unternehmen hat einen Liefervertrag mit der Tochtergesellschaft des kubanischen Energieversorgers Union Electrica (UNE) für Anlagen mit einer Gesamtleistung von 51 Megawatt (MW) unterzeichnet.
Windprojekt soll Beitrag zur heimischen Stromversorgung leisten
Die Anlagen werden im Windenergieprojekt La Herradura in der Provinz Las Tunas eingesetzt, 700 Kilometer von der Landeshauptstadt Havana entfernt. Die Lieferung umfasst insgesamt 34 Anlagen mit einer Einzelleistung von 1,5 MW. Goldwind wird neben der Lieferung auch die Installation sowie die Wartung über einen Zeitraum von zwei Jahren übernehmen. Die Lieferung der Anlagen soll bis Ende 2014 erfolgen, wonach einen Fertigstellungstermin in Juni 2015 angestrebt wird. Der Stromertrag der Anlagen wird Schätzungen zufolge rund ein Prozent des Bedarfs an Strom auf Kuba decken.
Nach einer Lieferung von sechs Anlagen mit einer Gesamtleistung von 750 kW im Jahr 2009, stellt der neue Auftrag der zweite Geschäftsabschluss, den Goldwind bislang in Kuba erhalten hat. Die Gesamtlieferungen in Überseemärkte beliefen sich bis Juni 2013 auf 450 MW.

Goldwind wins 51MW Wind Turbine Order in Cuba
BEIJING, China, December 18, 2013 – Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (“Goldwind” or the "Company”, Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 002202, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited: 2208), is pleased to announce that our international business has achieved another success. Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Limited (“Goldwind International”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has signed a 51MW wind turbine supply contract with Energoimport, a subsidiary of Union Electrica (UNE), in Cuba.
Under the contract, 34 units of Goldwind’s 1.5MW direct-drive permanent magnet (“DDPM”) wind turbines will be delivered to Cuba. The Company will also provide additional services including turbine transportation, installation, trial operations, and a 2-year warranty for maintenance. This is the second order Goldwind has won in Cuba following an order of 6 units of 750 kW wind turbines delivered in 2009.
The La Herradura project is located in the northwest of Las Tunas province and is 700 kilometres from La Habana, Cuba’s capital. The region has a marine climate and is a Class IIA wind speed area with an average speed of approximately 7.5 m/s. Goldwind will provide customised 77/1500 DDPM wind turbines to optimize its operating performance under local conditions.
All turbines are expected to be delivered by the end of 2014. The turbine installations are scheduled to be completed by June 2015, while connection to the local electric grid is scheduled to be completed by September 2015. According to our estimates, the power generated by this project will exceed 1% of Cuba’s total generation.
Mr. Yantian Pan, the deputy general manager of Goldwind International, commented, “Drawing on our experiences from the last few years of internationalisation, forging successful international partnerships depend on our comprehensive strengths. Our solid R&D capabilities have played a major role in our internationalisation strategy. By maintaining our principle or creating value for our customers and our “internationalisation through localisation” strategy, Goldwind has become competitive in international markets, and we are looking to solidify our advantages and continue to improve our market position.”.
As at June 30, 2013, Goldwind has delivered nearly 450MW of wind turbines to our overseas markets and has ongoing international business in 20 countries across 6 continents.

En ese parque eólico, la corporación Hydrochina instaló, inicialmente, dos aerogeneradores Goldwind WTG77-1500, cada uno con la capacidad de generar 1,5 megavatios. ‘El día domingo en el departamento de Cochabamba vamos a inaugurar la primera central eólica, felizmente la empresa china ha terminado’, destacó Morales, a tiempo de inspeccionar el miércoles la construcción de una planta de separación de líquidos en la provincia Gran Chaco del departamento de Tarija. El proyecto eólico tiene una inversión de 7,6 millones de dólares y los beneficiados, en primera instancia, serán las comunidades locales, además de subir la oferta del Sistema Interconectado Nacional. ‘Tenemos tantos planes, no solamente en tema de hidrocarburo, sino, también en temas de minería, en temas de plantas eléctricas, termoeléctricas, hidroeléctricas’, enfatizó el Jefe de Estado con relación al extraordinario potencial energético que tiene Bolivia. En ese marco, Morales reafirmó su compromiso con la industrialización de los recursos naturales y el potenciamiento productivo y económico del país, que empezó a crecer -dijo- tras la nacionalización de los hidrocarburos en 2006. La nacionalización ha hecho cambiar la economía nacional. Ahora no solamente estamos con la nacionalización, sino con la industrialización’, remarcó el mandatario.

Gullen Range stirs for Goldwind

Chinese manufacturer Goldwind has celebrated first power at the 165.5MW Gullen Range wind farm in Australia. When completed the project in New South Wales (pictured) will feature 73 of the company’s permanent magnet direct drive turbines, split between 56 GW100 2.5MW and 17 GW82 1.5MW machines.
To date 31 turbines have been installed. Seven of the 2.5MW units and one 1.5MW machine are now producing energy for the National Electricity Market. The milestone was marked on-site by representatives from Goldwind plus contractors, local authorities and landowners.
Goldwind Australia managing director John Titchen said at the ceremony: “This is an exciting milestone for the project and is the culmination of the hard work of the project team and the local, national and international contractors involved.
“The commencement of generation from the project follows several years of planning and project management. The project has now started to contribute to meeting the Australian government’s renewable energy target.”
Gullen Range is connected to the Transgrid 330kV transmission network and the link was energised ahead of schedule in October. A power purchase agreement for the output of the facility is in place with Energy Australia.
Turbine installation is expected to wrap up in May 2014 and once fully operational in mid-2014 Gullen Range will be the largest wind farm in New South Wales.
