19 March 2012 ARGOS RESOURCES LIMITED ("Argos" or "the Company") 2011 Financial Results Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), the Falkland Islands based explorationcompany focused on the North Falkland Basin, is pleased to announce its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2011. Highlights · Acquisition of 3D seismic data over the entire PL001 licence area was completed in April 2011 with further 3D data acquired in open acreage to the north of the licence through to mid-May · Argos now has access to some 4,500 sq kms of high quality 3D seismic data covering most of the northern half of the North Falkland Basin · The 3D data is the best quality seismic data that has been acquired in the basin to date and has transformed the Company's understanding of the prospectivity of its licence · To date, a total of 28 stratigraphic and structural prospects have been mapped; further prospects may be added as detailed mapping continues · Of 22 stratigraphic prospects, several bear close analogies to Sea Lion. The 6 structural prospects evident on the original 2D data have been confirmed by 3D data as robust closures · 3D data quality over Johnson, a potential multi-TCF wet gas discovery by Shell which appears to extend into the Argos licence, is much improved. Extensive mapping and seismic modelling studies are underway · The best estimate of unrisked prospective recoverable resource has been increased to 2.1 billion barrels, and to 7.3 billion barrels in the high case · The Company's cash position is sufficient for its ongoing overheads Commenting on this progress, Ian Thomson, Chairman of Argos, said: "The comprehensive technical work undertaken by the Company during 2011 indicates that the potential value of Licence PL001 is considerably greater than was previously estimated. "We are now in an extremely good position. We are within a few kilometres of Sea Lion, a commercial oil field described by its operator as a world class asset and a part of the Johnson wet gas discovery appears to extend into our licence. We have a large inventory of prospects, several of which appear similar to Sea Lion, and all of which are defined by excellent 3D seismic. Phase 2 of our licence runs to November 2015 and we have a healthy cash position which is sufficient to meet our future overheads. The Board believes that we can create more value in the future by ensuring that an appropriately structured drilling programme can be financed and implemented before exploration drilling commences on our licence and we are actively pursuing

Farm-in arrangements which could have been finalised within the timeframe for availability of the Ocean Guardian involved a single well only, and were not therefore acceptable.

The Company continues to work towards being ready to drill in late 2011/early 2012 in order to have an option to contract the Ocean Guardian drilling rig which is currently operating in the area.

DJ Argos Resources Ltd Company Update

      TIDMARG

      RNS Number : 9100S

      Argos Resources Ltd

      29 November 2011

      29 November 2011

      ARGOS RESOURCES LIMITED

      ("Argos" or "the Company")

      Company Updates Plans

Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), the Falkland Islands based exploration company focused on the North Falkland Basin, today reports that it has decided not to participate in the current drilling campaign in the area with the Ocean Guardian rig, which is now likely to end in December 2011. The weak capital markets combined with the planned departure of the rig will not allow a meaningful multi-well exploration drilling programme within the Company's licence area to be undertaken at the present time.

Commenting on this, Ian Thomson, Chairman of Argos, said:

"We have identified a large inventory of attractive prospects from excellent quality 3D seismic data acquired earlier this year. This inventory justifies several exploration wells being drilled to test adequately the potential of our acreage. However, the current weak state of the capital markets and the restricted availability of the Ocean Guardian rig will not allow a meaningful drilling programme to be undertaken. We have rejected the option of drilling only one well at this time as we remain convinced of the value of the acreage and the merits of a more extensive drilling programme.

After taking appropriate advice from a range of sources in the capital markets the Board has concluded that in current market circumstances funding for two or more wells would not be available even on highly dilutive terms for existing shareholders.

We have held preliminary discussions with a number of possible farm-in partners. Farm-in arrangements which could have been finalised within the timeframe for availability of the Ocean Guardian involved a single well only, and were not therefore acceptable.

We still have additional work to do to complete the interpretation of the 3D data and prepare the licence for farm-out. This work will be completed in the first half of 2012 and the option of an industry partner will then be pursued. We will continue to consider other options to fund drilling costs.

We believe that we can create more value in the future by ensuring that an adequately sized drilling programme can be financed and implemented before exploration drilling commences on our licence. We remain convinced of the value of the acreage and the merits of an extensive drilling programme."

Various financing options to fund drilling costs are being actively considered.

      und

The Company has completed a 3D seismic programme and is working towards the selection of possible targets for an initial drilling programme in the fourth quarter of 2011 or early 2012.

Argos Resources’ Hogan confident in Sea Lion lookalike prospects after pivotal report
      1:00 pm by Jamie Ashcroft
      http://bit.ly/plr9gL

The CPR confirms that the licence hosts prospects that are similar to Rockhopper’s Sea Lion discovery
Argos Resources (LON:ARG) managing director John Hogan has declared himself "delighted" with the results of the recent independent report on its Falklands acreage which was far better than he or the team expected.
The report gave the group a major uplift in estimated resources, which rose more than 180 per cent to 2.1 billion barrels of oil, and uncovered 22 new exploration prospects. It follows a busy summer of seismic exploration for the firm.

Importantly Hogan highlights that, as expected, the CPR confirms that the licence hosts prospects that are similar to Rockhopper Exploration’s (LON:RKH) Sea Lion discovery, which is on the neighbouring licence.

The most notable of these prospects is Rhea, a 103 million barrel target that is likely the first to be drilled by Argos.

Speaking with Proactive Investors Hogan explained that the latest interpretation of 3D seismic and Rockhopper’s continued appraisal success ‘very much’ backs up the group’s previous expectations of a Sea Lion ‘lookalike’ on the Argos licence.

In fact following a data sharing exercise with its neighbour Hogan and his team are now more confident than ever about the potential Sea Lion ‘lookalike’.

"We've got all Rockhopper’s seismic data,” Hogan said.

"We have their information on Sea Lion and we can make our own assessments and make comparisons between the Sea Lion discovery and our new prospects. We can see what they are drilling, what looks like on the 3D seismic and use that on our respective prospects.”

"Rhea has a lot of the characteristics that the Sea Lion field displays. But we've got other prospects that do that too, I'm pleased to say.”

The Sea Lion Field was major a breakthrough not just for Rockhopper, but also all those companies operating in the South Atlantic. It has continued to prove up and expand is oil resources, and in just 18 months it has taken the discovery to the verge of the development phase.

Indeed last month Rockhopper unveiled a US$2 billion plans to produce the Falklands first oil by 2016. It is currently preparing to drill its eighth well on the Sea Lion field.

"We are pleased to see Rockhopper continuing the drilling programme on Sea Lion, which just keeps getting bigger and bigger,” Hogan added.

For a much smaller company like Argos having such a successful peer working nearby has been a real bonus as it has helped capture the imagination of investors and has stoked up the excitement among AIM’s speculators.

"Good results from Rockhopper draws industry and investor eyes onto what's going on in the Falklands and we all benefit from that attention.”

Aside from the obvious Rockhopper’s continued success has had another important benefit for Argos. Importantly it has meant that the Ocean Guardian rig has remained in the isolated waters of the South Atlantic.

Because of that Argos is now preparing for its own drilling programme which is expected to get underway towards the tail-end of this year or early next year. However before that Argos must first get the financial backing to support its ambitions.

Taking the temperature of investor sentiment on the ubiquitous internet bulletin boards and forums it seems that this funding issue is a lingering concern – which has somewhat overshadowed the better-than expected CPR result.

A farm-out deal is one potential funding option being mooted, by some investors, as a potential means to bring in cash to cover the initial costs of drilling. It is also a theory seemingly reflected by Evolution Securities analyst Keith Morris.

The analyst, which sees Argos as a ‘buy’, has a 79p a share price target for the stock. And in a note to clients on Friday he said that his valuation assumes that Argos will farm o
