das ist die einschätzung von Smallcap für
      VMS Venture (WKN A0MJYS)

Aktien (voll verwässert, also inkl. Optionen und Warrants) ausgegeben. Damit errechnet sich eine Marktkapitalisierung von 55 Mio. CA$.

      Kursziel 1,70 CA$ = 286 % Kurspotential

VMS Ventures Reports Mineralization at 30 Metres From Surface in Zone 30 (Zinc-Copper Lens), Including 15.7m of 6.57% Zinc, From Initial In-Fill Drilling at Its Reed Lake Joint Venture Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Dec. 16, 2010 (Marketwire) -- VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS") is pleased to announce drill and assay results from the initial in-fill diamond drill program at the Reed Lake deposit, near Snow Lake, Manitoba, Canada. These results are from holes RDL009 to RDL014 inclusive. They were designed to test the zinc - copper rich lens (zone 30) located near surface. See figure 1, below, which is a plan view of the diamond drill holes and mineralized zones.

Neil Richardson, VMS' Chief Operating Officer, states: "The results for the upper zinc - copper rich lens (zone 30) are very encouraging as they show that the deposit comes within 30 metres of surface, which suggests it is amenable to ramp development and early production from an underground operation.

The results emphasize the metal zonation in this polymetallic deposit which, in addition to copper and zinc, also carries appreciable amounts of gold and silver. Metal zonation and significant precious metal credits are common characteristics of massive sulphide deposits in the Snow Lake camp."

Holes RLD009 to RLD012 inclusive were drilled on section line 50 and on the eastern edge of zone 30. Assays have been received for holes RLD009 to RLD014 and are tabled below:

The in-fill program is the first phase of drilling at the Reed Lake project under a joint venture formed between VMS and HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX/NYSE:HBM) ("HudBay"). The Reed Lake deposit is a base metal, polymetallic, massive sulphide-type deposit located approximately 100 kilometers from HudBay's concentrator in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Two drills are currently operating on site at Reed Lake. One drill is conducting in-fill drilling in preparation for a National Instrument 43-101 mineral resource estimate, which is expected in the first quarter of 2011. A second drill is drilling deeper exploration holes down plunge to the west of the deposit. On December 10, 2010 VMS reported that the first step out drill hole at Reed Lake intersected 10 metres of 2.39% copper 214 metres down plunge of the known deposit.

Drill holes RLD013 and RLD014 were collared on section line 0 and were drilled outside the known mineralized envelopes and testing for extensions of the mineralization laterally towards the southeast. These two holes failed to intersect any significant mineralization.

On July 6, 2010 VMS and HudBay announced that they had entered into a joint venture agreement pursuant to which HudBay has a 70% interest and VMS has a 30% interest in the Reed Lake property and the two claims immediately to the south. The parties have also entered into four option agreements which grant HudBay the right to earn a 70% joint venture interest in properties held by VMS adjacent to the Reed Lake property.

For additional details on exploration at the Reed Lake deposit, see VMS' press releases issued between September 17, 2007 and December 10, 2008, available at www.sedar.com.

      Qualified Person

All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. Mark Fedikow, P.Geo, who is the Qualified Person for the Company and Vice President of Exploration and Technical Services, VMS Ventures Inc.

      Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Exploration core drilling was NQ size. The core was logged and mineralized intersections were marked for sampling and assaying by geologists and geotechnicians employed by HudBay's Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Limited (HBED) subsidiary. The marked intersections or intervals were sawn in half by a diamond saw and one half of the core was placed in plastic bags and tagged with unique sample numbers, while the second half was returned to the core box and stored. Each bagged core sample was transported to HudBay's Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co., Limited (HBMS) subsidiary's assay laboratory in Flin Flon, Manitoba where it was dried, crushed and pulverized and a 250-gram sample was prepared for assaying at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd., an independent company in Vancouver, B.C., or the HBMS assay laboratory. From each 250 gram sample 0.25 grams was removed and leached in aqua regia and analyzed by ICP-AES for Ag, Cu, Zn, As, Pb, Ni and Fe. Also from the 250 gram sample, 30 grams was removed for gold determination by fire assaying with an ICP-AES or gravimetric finish at the Acme laboratory or an Atomic Absorption or gravimetric finish at the HBMS laboratory.

Assaying integrity is monitored internally with a quality control program, which includes the use of assay sample standards, blanks, duplicates and repeats and externally through national and international programs. In addition, within each group of 20 core samples, one core sample has a second 250 gram split collected that was check assayed at a different laboratory, either the HBMS laboratory in Flin Flon or at the Acme laboratory in Vancouver, B.C. This news release provides core lengths and estimates of vertical thickness only. True widths are not provided. Where metal assays are provided for intersections they are either a single assay of a sample of the entire intersection length or a composite of assays calculated from interval weighted assays over the intersection length.

      Mr. John Roozendaal reports

VMS VENTURES REPORTS 58.89 METRES OF 1.21 G/T GOLD INCLUDING 9.89 METRES OF 5.13 G/T GOLD IN DIAMOND DRILL HOLE SA-10-007, SAILS LAKE PROPERTY NEAR SNOW LAKE, MANITOBA

VMS Ventures Inc. has finished drilling of base metal and gold targets on its Sails Lake property. Drill hole SA-10-007 intersected the Long zone mineralization 75 metres below historic trenching that returned 14.0 metres of 1.70 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. No historic drilling was performed on this target.

Neil Richardson, VMS chief operating officer, states: "We are obviously pleased with the results of hole SA-10-007. They indicate the potential for a low-grade, bulk tonnage deposit on our Sails Lake project, though it should be noted that some very high-grade gold was intersected within the mineralized interval. High-grade gold mineralization has also been discovered in outcrop elsewhere on the property from historic exploration, and these occurrences will be investigated in subsequent programs. The mineralization of the Long zone consists of disseminated blebs, specks and bands of arsenopyrite within a silicified-albitized alteration halo in a diorite host rock. Additional geophysical, geological and geochemical surveys and diamond drilling are now being planned for early in the second quarter of 2011."

The original drill target was based on the presence of a mineralized outcrop exposed in a trench with coincident induced polarization chargeability anomalies and strongly elevated mobile metal ions soil geochemical anomalies. A follow-up 3-D IP (induced polarization) survey, detailed surface rock and soil geochemical surveys, and geological mapping are being planned for the next stages of exploration on the property. There are several additional surface gold showings on the property which will be examined in greater detail as a result of the drilling success at the Long zone. Drill core is being sampled for thin sections to confirm the mineralogical siting of the gold mineralization. High-precision trace element geochemistry will also be undertaken to determine the original rock type hosting the gold mineralization and to assist geological mapping on the property.

The Sails Lake property is located 25 kilometres east of the mining community of Snow Lake, Man., and comprises eight claim blocks covering an area of approximately 1,900 hectares. The diamond drilling program tested multiple base and precious metal targets with 10 holes drilled for a total of 1,967.31 metres. This program is independent of the drill program, and other activities at the Reed Lake deposit, operated by HudBay Minerals Inc. under a joint venture agreement announced in Stockwatch news July 6, 2010.

Sails Lake base metal drilling program (holes SA-10-001 and SA-10-006A) focused on electromagnetic and magnetic anomalies within favourable volcanic host rocks. Although the program was successful in explaining these anomalies, no economic mineralization was intersected.

VMS receives drill permits for Morton Lake, others

      2011-01-20 15:01 ET - News Release

      Mr. Rick Mark reports

VMS UPDATES EXPLORATION PLANS FOR ITS 100% OWNED PROPERTIES, FLIN FLON-SNOW LAKE GREENSTONE BELT, MANITOBA

VMS Ventures Inc. has provided an update to its shareholders on the company's exploration plans on its extensive 100-per-cent-held property package in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt, Manitoba, Canada.

      100-per-cent-owned properties

Exploration and drill permits have now been received for several of the company's project areas including Morton Lake, Copper South, Copper Extension, Puella East and Sails Lake. More permits for additional projects are anticipated in the coming weeks. All of these property packages are owned and operated by VMS Ventures and are separate from the company's Reed Lake project joint ventures with HudBay Minerals Inc.

A drilling contract has been awarded to Westcore Drilling of Salmo, B.C., and road building and line cutting contracts have also been signed. As detailed in this release, exploration activities will commence immediately and the first drill hole is expected to be collared in the last week of January. This winter's drill program will test numerous potential base metal VTEM and time domain electromagnetic anomalies throughout the company's property package and is expected to continue into April, or when freeze up ends.

      Morton Lake

The Morton Lake project is located 25 kilometres west of Snow Lake. The project boundary is within 500 metres of the past-producing Dickstone copper-zinc mine. Because of the geological similarity to the rocks hosting the Dickstone deposit, targets in the northwest portion of this property are a priority for drilling this season.

The geological rock unit that hosts the Dickstone mineralization has been mapped on the VMS Morton Lake property and a 1.5-to-two-kilometre segment will be surveyed using DeepEM ground geophysics. Both the line cutting and geophysical surveying contracts have been awarded and work is expected to commence in the next few weeks.

The DeepEM system being employed is capable of detecting massive sulphide bodies to depths well below the depth of an airborne survey, up to 800 metres below surface. HudBay Minerals used it to help discover its Lalor Lake deposit in 2007, approximately 20 kilometres to the west of the VMS Morton Lake property.

Targets generated from the DeepEM survey, along with airborne geophysical anomalies already identified elsewhere on the property, will be drilled this winter. Historical drill records compiled by the company indicate abundant disseminated base metal mineralization accompanied by alteration in these shallow drill holes. On this basis, the area is interpreted to be highly prospective for base metal massive sulphide-type mineralization of economic grade.

Finally, high-precision trace element geochemical studies of the Reed Lake copper-zinc deposit host rocks were conducted by Dr. Alan Bailes in 2010. The similarity between the geochemistry of the VMS/HudBay Reed deposit host rocks and those hosting the Dickstone deposit resulted in the company doubling its land position in the area to 90 square kilometres in 2010.

      Sails Lake update

On Jan. 11, 2011, the company announced a gold discovery at its Sails Lake project featuring an intercept of 56.89 m (186.65 feet) grading 1.21 grams per tonne gold starting within 40 metres of surface.

A follow-up program of new line cutting, induced polarization (IP) geophysical surveys and mobile metal ion geochemical soil sampling will commence in February, with outcrop washing, detailed geological mapping and prospecting for additional outcropping mineralization to follow in the spring. Drill core samples of the gold mineralization from hole SA-10-007 have been taken for petrographic and lithogeochemical study to determine the mineralogical siting to the gold. Understanding the host lithology will assist company geologists in planning the next drill program.

      Paleozoic cover projects

Copper project (includes Copper North, Copper South and Copper Extension properties)

The Copper project covers 185 square km of prospective geology in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt of Manitoba. The property is located approximately 45 km south of the mining community of Snow Lake in Manitoba where HudBay Minerals operates the Chisel North zinc-copper-gold-silver mine.

Work permits for the Copper project have now been received and drill road construction is under way. Four priority drill targets have been selected for this program based on the company's extensive geological-geophysical-geochemical database for the property. The four targeted VTEM anomalies have been Maxwell modelled by Condor Consulting of Boulder in Colorado. Several volcanogenic massive sulphide-type deposits have been discovered on or adjacent to the company's property package and the same host rocks to the deposits are covered by company claims or mineral exploration licences.

Several hundred discrete geophysical anomalies were detected in VTEM airborne geophysical surveys commissioned by the company. These have undergone preliminary geophysical and geochemical interpretation, and select target areas have been prioritized for Maxwell modelling and subsequent drilling.

The Copper project area is covered by a relatively thin layer (25 to 40 metres) of younger Paleozoic rock. VMS believes many deposits remain to be discovered in the greenstone belt that underlies the Paleozoic cover that has impeded historical exploration efforts. Advances in exploration technology including increased depth penetration of geophysical and geochemical survey techniques combined with compilation of historical data sets provide exploration geologists a new opportunity to discover new mines in this area of an underexplored world-class belt. The copper-zinc-gold-silver deposit discovered at Reed Lake by VMS Ventures in 2007, demonstrates the prospectivity of the covered areas of the Flin Flon-Snow Lake belt.

Upon completion of winter drill roads, diamond drilling equipment will be mobilized onto collar locations and testing of targets will commence. Drilling is expected to commence in late January.

McClarty Lake (includes McClarty South, McClarty North and Farwell properties)

The company's McClarty Lake project covers an area in excess of 300 square kilometres of geology prospective for hosting volcanogenic massive sulphide copper-zinc-gold-silver deposits like that discovered on the company's Reed Lake property in 2007. The property is located 45 km to the southwest of Snow Lake in Manitoba. The McClarty Lake land package surrounds a base and precious metal discovery made in the mid-1990s which is now being explored by Troymet Exploration Corp. and HudBay Minerals Inc. Drill intercepts from the property reported by Troymet Exploration Corp., include four metres grading 4.17 g/t gold in drill hole DYC-016 and 15.30 metres grading 3.46 per cent zinc in drill hole MC08-08.

Significant drilling activity on the five claims in the area being explored by Troymet and HudBay Minerals, which cover an area of approximately six square km, is expected at these properties during the upcoming drill season. VMS will assess the results of this program and develop targets on its adjacent claims that occur along strike of the Troymet-HudBay mineralized horizon. Drilling permits for the company's properties are pending.

      Other properties

Exploration and drill permits are pending for the Leak Lake, 9-7 and Reed properties. Drill collar locations will be based on Maxwell modelled VTEM anomalies with significant mobile metal ion geochemical signatures. Additional information regarding drill targets on these properties will be released upon receipt of work permits.

Update on the VMS-HudBay Reed Lake deposit joint ventures

HudBay Minerals has now released results of the first 14 infill drill holes from its initial diamond drill program at Reed Lake. In a Dec. 10, 2010, news release in Stockwatch, it was announced that the first step-out drill hole RLD015 testing for mineralization outside of the known deposit was successful and intercepted 10 metres of massive sulphide 210 metres down plunge of the deepest hole previously drilled on the deposit. HudBay has reported that it intends to complete a National Instrument 43-101 resource estimate for the deposit within the first quarter of 2011. Definition drilling has now been completed with results available in the next few weeks. The focus will now be on defining the mineralization up plunge from RLD015 to previous drilling by VMS. New step-out targets will also be tested with the aim of expanding the Reed Lake deposit. Work on the four optioned property packages surrounding the Reed Lake deposit joint venture is expected to begin in the winter of 2011.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/11/11 -- VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: VMS) ("VMS") is pleased to announce that drilling of base metal and gold targets on its Sails Lake property is complete. Drill hole SA-10-007 intersected the Long Zone mineralization 75 metres below historical trenching that returned 14.0 metres of 1.70 g/t gold. No historical drilling was performed on this target.

Neil Richardson, VMS' Chief Operating Officer states: "We are obviously pleased with the results of hole SA-10-007. They indicate the potential for a low grade - bulk tonnage deposit on our Sails Lake project, though it should be noted that some very high-grade gold was intersected within the mineralized interval. High-grade gold mineralization has also been discovered in outcrop elsewhere on the property from historic exploration and these occurrences will be investigated in subsequent programs. The mineralization of the Long Zone consists of disseminated blebs, specks and bands of arsenopyrite within a silicified - albitized alteration halo in a diorite host rock. Additional geophysical, geological and geochemical surveys and diamond drilling are now being planned for early Q2 2011."

Also from the 250 gram sample, 30 grams were removed for gold determination by fire assaying with an ICP-AES or gravimetric finish at the Acme laboratory or an Atomic Absorption or gravimetric finish at the HBMS laboratory.

      VMS EXPLORATION PROPERTIES

      Copper Project

Drill testing of target anomalies scheduled for initial drilling in winter 2011 is now complete. A total of 2,560 metres were drilled in 7 holes on the Company's Copper project located approximately 30 km south of the mining community of Snow Lake, Manitoba. Drill core samples have been sent for base and precious metal assays with results expected in a few weeks.

      Cowan River

The drill is now on the Cowan River project located 45 kilometres southeast of the town of Snow Lake and 8 kilometres east of Reed Lake JV/Option Property currently being explored by partner HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM)(NYSE:HBM). VMS Ventures plans to drill three targets on this MEL based primarily on VTEM airborne geophysical anomalies with positive conductivity and associated magnetic signatures typical of all the base metal mines in the Snow Lake Greenstone Belt.

      Morton Lake

The Morton Lake project is located 25 km west of Snow Lake and within 500 metres of the past-producing Dickstone copper-zinc deposit. A deep-penetrating, ground based Time Domain Electromagnetic geophysical survey was completed by Koop Geotechnical Inc. during the first quarter of 2011. The 54 line kilometre survey assessed a long portion of favourable stratigraphy that hosted the nearby Dickstone copper-zinc deposit. Geotech Ltd. completed 340 line kilometres "Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic" (VTEM – plus) airborne survey over the southern claim blocks. Upon review of the anomalies, a Mobile Metal Ion soil geochemistry survey will be completed and integrated into the drill targeting process.

      Farwell

The Farwell project surrounds the McClarty Lake project of Troymet Exploration Corporation who announced a discovery on May 15, 2008 returning 1.47% zinc and 0.31% copper over 43.05 metres, including 3.46% zinc over 15.3 metres. Geotech Ltd. completed 3,581 line kilometres of (VTEM – plus) over the project in preparation of follow-up geochemical survey "Mobile Metal Ion" (MMI) and diamond drilling. VMS will determine its exploration strategy after Troymet's drilling is completed and announced.

      Sails Lake

On January 11th 2011, the Company announced a gold discovery at its Sails Lake project featuring an intercept of 56.89 metres (186.65 feet) grading 1.21 grams/tonne gold. The mineralized zone occurs within 40 metres of surface.

A follow-up program of line-cutting and Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical surveys is now underway. Follow-up diamond drilling is proposed upon completion of the IP survey. Detailed geological mapping, prospecting for additional outcropping mineralization and Mobile Metal Ion geochemical soil sampling are planned for the spring/summer.

In 2011 approximately 12,000 metres of diamond drilling is planned for new base metal and gold targets throughout the Snow Lake property package.

VMS Reports Discovery of New High Grade Copper Zone Grading 7.44% Copper Over 7.18 Metres in Hole RLE006 Located 1.8 Kilometres Northeast of the Reed Copper Deposit

      May 17, 2011 (Marketwire Canada) --

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS") is pleased to announce the discovery of high grade copper on its Super Zone property. Hole RLE006 intersected two zones of mineralization within a bimodal (rhyolite / basalt) volcanic sequence located 1.8 kilometres northeast of the Reed Copper Deposit.

The first zone intersected 7.18 metres of 7.44% copper (from 133.89 to 141.07 metres) and a second zone intersected 44.49 metres of 0.79% copper and 0.39% zinc (from 214.00 to 258.49 metres). The initial hole in this zone was RLE004 targeting a 1 kilometre long VTEM airborne anomaly with coincident magnetics. This hole intersected 0.34 metres grading 5.41% Cu. The follow-up borehole pulse electromagnetic survey indicated two conductive targets and was followed up with discovery hole RLE006.

The Super Zone property is part of a parcel of properties adjacent to the Reed deposit which are under option to VMS' joint venture partner HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM)(NYSE:HBM) ("HudBay"). HudBay has the right to earn a 70% joint venture interest in the option properties and, upon earning such interest, VMS would retain a 30% interest.

Neil Richardson, VMS' Chief Operating Officer states: "We are very excited with the potential of this high grade copper discovery on our Super Zone property. All of the largest deposits in the belt are associated with bimodal volcanism and this has all the earmarks of such a discovery. This discovery signifies the potential of a new camp emerging with our partner HudBay. HudBay is continuing exploration with two diamond drills testing geophysical and geological targets on the option properties. VMS management would like to congratulate the HudBay technical team for this discovery, which took place in their first drill program on the property."

From each 250 gram sample 0.25 grams was removed and leached in aqua regia and analyzed by ICP-AES for Ag, Cu, Zn, As, Pb, Ni and Fe. Also from the 250 gram sample, 30 grams were removed for gold determination by fire assaying with an ICP-AES or gravimetric finish at the Acme laboratory or an Atomic Absorption or gravimetric finish at the HBMS laboratory.

VMS Ventures Provides Exploration Target Update at the Reed Copper Deposit and Option Properties Near Snow Lake, Manitoba

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2012) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS") is pleased to announce an exploration update on targets around the Reed Copper deposit and four option properties.

The Reed Copper deposit is located 120 kilometres from Flin Flon, Manitoba and is the subject of a Joint Venture with HudBay Minerals (TSX:HBM)(NYSE:HBM) ("HudBay"). VMS owns 30% of the Reed Joint Venture.

VMS Ventures COO Neil Richardson, states: "2012 promises to be an exciting year with exploration and development planned for the Reed Copper deposit and surrounding exploration properties. The HudBay and VMS joint management committee have approved a budget for a 4,000 metre diamond drill program focusing on targets around the Reed Copper deposit and an additional 4,000 metres on the option properties, with a primary focus on the Reed North target.

Recent work by VMS and HudBay has resulted in the discovery of two additional mineralized zones within our option properties. These recent discoveries are further evidence supporting our belief in the camp scale potential at the Reed project. The drilling will occur as soon as freeze-up and site preparation is completed."

      Reed Copper Deposit

The copper rich lens (Zone 10) at the Reed Copper deposit is still open down plunge. A proposed hole will be collared south of the deposit targeting the mineralization horizon approximately 600 metres below surface (see figure 1). Drill site preparation is on-going, but start-up is expected to be delayed due to the unusually mild winter weather and significant snow accumulation thus far. Additional targets are located just north of the deposit and are spatially associated with drill holes RD-08-45, RLD037 and RD-08-42DNP. Hole RD-08-42DNP is being re-surveyed with borehole time-domain geophysics using two different loop configurations to accurately determine the location of the anomaly for drill testing this winter.

      Option Properties

VMS and HudBay are parties to four option agreements which grant HudBay the right to earn a 70% joint venture interest in properties held by VMS adjacent to the Reed Copper deposit. Among the exploration results from the option properties is the Reed North discovery, located 1.8 kilometres north of the Reed Copper deposit, which included 7.18 metres grading 7.44% Cu, 0.23% Zn, 0.48 g/t Au and 7.57 g/t Ag in hole RLE006 (see figure 2).

To view Figure 2 click on: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/vms2.jpg

A borehole pulse EM survey compilation done for VMS by Koop Geotechnical outlined the Reed North multi-lens base metal discovery. To date, fourteen holes have been completed on this new discovery mainly focusing on the western portion of the anomaly. Whole rock geochemical analysis on the drill core indicates that the Reed Copper deposit and the Reed North zone are within the same lithological unit. This horizon is now the focus of an extensive TDEM geophysical survey planned for this winter between the Reed Copper and Reed North zones. HudBay will continue its drilling campaign focusing on the down plunge projection of the mineralized lens.

A second target area of interest is located 3.4 km to the northwest of the Reed Copper deposit. Drill holes RLE008 and RLE020 intersected base metal values of up to 3.34% copper and 2.94% zinc. A borehole pulse EM survey outlined a 400 metre long by 230 metre high modeled plate with hole RLE020 piercing the upper edge of this anomaly. This plate is largely un-tested and is also being considered for drilling within this winter's option property budget/plan.

A third area of interest is a surface pulse time-domain EM anomaly which is located between the historic Highway zone (discovered by Freeport McMoRan in 1970's) and the Reed Copper deposit. This 500 metre long anomaly was detected within favourable volcanic rocks and remains un-tested. The next step for this target is to construct a 3-D model of the anomaly to support in the design of the drill hole platform (see figure 3).

VMS Ventures Trenching Program Returns Assays of Up to 61.73 g/t Gold at Its Sails Lake Property Near Snow Lake, Manitoba
February 8, 2012 - 06:30:00 AM VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2012) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS") today announced results from a mechanical trenching, outcrop power washing, mapping and sampling program at its 100% owned Sails Lake Property in northwestern Manitoba.

Neil Richardson, VMS' Chief Operating Officer, states: "I am pleased with the results from our channel sampling program at Sails Lake and look forward to incorporating these results into our 3D IP/geological model. The Long Zone mineralization is still open to the east and high grade samples from the M-Zone are not drill tested. Both areas warrant follow-up work."

The program was carried out in August of 2011 in three main areas of the property named the Long Zone, M-Zone and the E-Zone. Each area consists of numerous large trenches that expose gold mineralization in association with quartz vein and bedrock-hosted blocky and acicular arsenopyrite. Host rock to the gold mineralization is a multi-phase tonalite-gabbro intrusion. The mineralized zones are marked by Induced Polarization (IP) chargeability anomalies and well developed Mobile Metal Ions soil geochemical anomalies.

The Long Zone trench uncovered two sets of quartz veins. One set trends in a northeasterly direction, is mineralized with arsenopyrite and appears to be the host for the gold mineralization with values of up to 61.73 g/t gold. The second set trends north-northwesterly and is barren. Two previous holes drilled by VMS beneath the Long Zone trench assayed 1.21 g/t gold over 58.89 metres core length (DDH SA-10-007) and 1.48 g/t gold over 13.41 metres core length (DDH SA-11-013). Channel sample results from the current program will be incorporated with our 3D IP data and drill data in the upcoming months. Two additional trenches were excavated at locations 35 metres and 75 metres from the main trench at the Long Zone. These new trenches uncovered a large broad northeast-trending shear zone with lesser gold values of up to 0.31 g/t. This shear zone is interpreted to be a late feature and unrelated to the main gold mineralizing event.

The M and E Zone trenches exposed gold mineralization associated with quartz veins in a tonalite intrusion with values of up to 13.58 g/t. These gold values are associated with blocky to acicular arsenopyrite and similar to the Long Zone mineralization. Gold values are generally sporadic and correspond with the amount of quartz veins observed in outcrop. These veins are quartz-filled tension gash structures developed at the boundaries of the multi-phase tonalite intrusion.

The Sails Lake property is located 25 km east of the mining community of Snow Lake, Manitoba and consists of 8 claim blocks covering an area of approximately 1,900 hectares. Additional follow-up work on this project is warranted and will be reviewed in the upcoming months.

For additional details on exploration on our Sails Lake property, see VMS' press releases issued between January 24, 2007 and September 9, 2011, available at www.vmsventures.com.

      Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Geological mapping was carried out at 1:100 scale by geologists and geotechnicians employed VMS Ventures Inc. Channel samples were marked on outcrop with spray paint and samples were cut with a portable diamond saw approx. 4cm thick and 5cm deep with the maximum sample length of 1.2 metres, but average 0.60 metres. The channel samples were then placed in plastic bags and tagged with a unique sample number. A metal tag with the sample number was placed in cross slots at the end of samples for future reference. Chemical analyses reported in this press release were performed by TSL Laboratories in Saskatoon, SK, where it was dried, crushed and pulverized and a 250-gram sample was prepared for assaying. Gold was analyzed by fire assay Atomic Absorption using a 30g charge, with gravimetric finish for assays greater than 3 g/t. Sampling and analytical procedures are subject to a comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control program that includes blanks and analytical standards.

VMS Ventures Drills 8.90 Metres of 1.00 g/t Gold in Hole BC-11-002 and Mechanical Trenching Uncovers Base Metal Showing on its Black Creek Project Near Sudbury, Ontario

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/12 -- VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: VMS) ("VMS") is pleased to announce the results of a two-hole drill program and mechanical trenching on its 100%-owned Black Creek property. Two new zones of mineralization have been discovered.

Neil Richardson, VMS' Chief Operating Officer, states: "I am pleased with the results from our first phase of drilling and channel sampling on the Black Creek project. The VTEM anomaly tested by BC-11-002 has a strike length of 900 metres and is open at depth. The new base metal showing indicates the potential of a permeable breccia zone along the margin of the Cartier Batholith. Additional work is planned for 2012, including additional drilling, trenching and prospecting."

A total of 342 metres were drilled to test two separate Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM) airborne geophysical anomalies with coincident magnetic highs. Hole BC-11-002 intersected 8.90 metres of 1.00 g/t Au, in a heterolithologic fragmental unit at the contact with an oxide to sulphide facies iron formation. Locally, the oxide facies iron formation is sulphidized and is mineralized with pyrite, pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite. A sulphide rich interval within the iron formation assayed 2.43% copper over 0.40 metres.

A new base metal showing was discovered in the central portion of the property by prospector John Brady. An excavator was utilized to remove overburden, followed by power washing of the outcrop, geological mapping and channel sampling. Highlights from the channel sample assays include 4.77% zinc, 1.17% copper, 23 g/t silver and 0.85% lead. This fracture-controlled mineralization is hosted by a gossanous andesitic unit within an intrusive marginal breccia zone of the Cartier Batholith, see figure #1 below.

The pre-feasibility study prepared by Hudbay and Stantec in respect of the Reed deposit demonstrates that the indicated resources can be converted to reserves and economically viable for extraction by long-hole open stoping at a rate of 1300 TPD.

Reed Copper Project Assumptions and Qualifications

Production at Reed is scheduled to begin at the 260 metre level from Zones 10 and 20 and in Zone 30 from the 135 metre level. Mining is expected to finish in Zone 30 from the 85 metre level, in Zone 20 from the 110 metre level and in Zone 10 on the 285 metre level.

Run of mine ore will be transported by truck directly to Flin Flon where it will be crushed to less than 150 millimeters. The Reed ore will be batched independently through the Flin Flon concentrator with assumed metal recoveries of 94% copper, 58% gold and 62% silver producing a copper concentrate.

Access to the underground mineral resources will be via a trench, portal and decline located near the center of the surface site. The decline will be excavated 6 metres wide and 5 metres high to a depth of 510 metres from surface and be able to accommodate a 60 tonne truck. Ore and development waste will be hauled to surface via the decline. Each mining level, spaced 25 metres vertically, will be accessed from the decline and will be 5.5 metres wide by 4.5 metres high to accommodate a 10 yard load, haul and dump scooptram.

The project will be powered by diesel generators and power distributed to surface buildings and underground.

Stantec provided capital estimates for: surface infrastructure, underground dewatering, indirect costs (contractor, construction management). Hudbay provided capital estimates for underground development and construction, mine equipment, all other indirect costs, operating costs, sustaining capital, production schedule and metal price forecast.

We anticipate drill testing targets on this property in the upcoming winter drill season.”

Reed East and Reed West cover the same favorable Four Mile Island volcanic rock package that hosts the Reed Copper deposit and other deposits in this part of the Flin Flon – Snow Lake Camp such as the Dickstone and Spruce Point Mines. A Geotech VTEM survey undertaken by the vendor has established target areas, so VMS considers this to be a grassroots project in a brown-field environment.

Under the terms of the Purchase Agreement, VMS will acquire the claims outright, subject to an underlying royalty agreement, for a one time issuance of 500,000 common shares of the Company. These shares will be restricted for a period of four months from the date of issuance. The Purchase Agreement remains subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

      Hallo,

VMS Ventures Announces Trenching Results and Surface TDEM Survey on Its Sudbury Properties

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2012) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the results of a surface time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) survey on its 100% owned Terra Incognita project and the first phase of trenching on its 100% owned Golden Pine project. Both projects are located north of the Sudbury basin and approximately 40 kilometres northeast of Sudbury, Ontario.

Neil Richardson, COO states: "We are pleased with the TDEM survey over the Terra Incognita project, which has provided at least three significant targets for our planned 2013 winter drilling program. As well, the first phase of our trenching program at Golden Pine shows that the MMI soil geochemistry survey is outlining bedrock-hosted gold mineralization, which we will now follow-up with trenching and channel sampling."

The surface time-domain electromagnetic survey at Terra Incognita completed late last winter has now been incorporated into the company's GIS database
      ( Image 1: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/VMSimage1.pdf ). The

TDEM survey was completed by Crone Geophysics Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario on a grid cut by a crew from the Wahnapitae First Nations. The survey covered approximately 20 line kilometres with station readings taken every 25 metres and line spacing of 100 metres. Six TDEM anomalies were outlined from this survey, with three ranked as high priority targets. Two of the high priority targets have coincident Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) geochemical anomalies and VLF geophysical conductor anomalies. Drilling is planned to test these targets in the upcoming 2013 winter drilling program.

The first phase of trenching has been completed on the Golden Pine project where two separate areas were mechanically stripped to expose the bedrock; a total area of 400m2 was excavated. These trenches focused on a coincident Induced Polarization geophysical anomaly and a Mobile Metal Ion geochemical anomaly over an inferred contact between granite and intermediate volcanic rocks. A second trench focused on a MMI anomaly near historical zone B. Results from the first phase of channel sampling yielded assay results of up to 12.00 g/t gold over 0.50 metres. Two continuous samples averaged 11.68 g/t gold over 1.00 metre in an intermediate volcanic rock in the first trench area (Image 2: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/VMSimage2.pdf).

COMMENCES DRILLING TARGETED GOLD & BASE METALS TERRA INCOGNITA

VMS VENTURES CONTRACTS JS DRILLING FOR 2013 SUDBURY WINTER DRILL PROGRAM

Vancouver, B.C., March 4, 2013. VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:VMS) (“VMS” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has awarded a drilling contract to JS Drilling of Sudbury, Ontario for its 2013 Sudbury winter drill program. The program will begin March 4, 2013. All permits for the drill program have been received.

Drilling will target gold and base metal mineralization on VMS' Terra Incognita exploration property situated in Parkin Township approximately 30 km north of Sudbury and 20 km north of Capreol.

      Reed Copper Mine Commences Production

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Oct. 1, 2013) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS Ventures" or the "Company") is pleased to update shareholders on the progress made at the Reed Copper Project, near Flin Flon Manitoba. VMS Ventures owns 30% of the project and is carried to production. Hudbay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM) (NYSE:HBM) ("Hudbay") owns 70% and is the Operator.
VMS Ventures announced today that joint venture partner and operator Hudbay has received the Environment Act Licence for the Reed Copper Project from the Manitoba government and has commenced initial production. The licence permits the operation of the Reed mine, a 1,300 tonnes/day underground copper mine, and its supporting infrastructure.

Hudbay has informed VMS that a bulk sample of approximately 7,000 tonnes of ore was mined under the Advanced Exploration Project permit and a metallurgical batch test of 4,500 tonnes of ore was milled in late September at Hudbay's Flin Flon concentrator. The 7,000 tonnes of ore, from the upper Zone 30, was mainly mined on 65 m Level with only 1 round (approximately 300 to 400 tonnes) taken on the 45 m Level.

Full production remains on the planned schedule to commence in first half of 2014 and the project remains within the estimated budget parameters.

Neil Richardson, VMS Ventures' COO states: "The receipt of the Environment Act Licence and the successful extraction of the bulk sample are both significant milestones for the project. The Licence confirms the care and diligence taken by our JV partner and operator Hudbay in moving the project forward within mandated environmental guidelines while the extraction of the bulk sample project is the first step towards full production at Reed".

REED COPPER MINE NOVEMBER DEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

      Produces 13,154 Tonnes of Ore

Vancouver, B.C., December 17, 2013 VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:VMS) (“VMS Ventures” or the “Company”) is pleased to update shareholders on the considerable progress made at the Reed mine, near Flin Flon Manitoba, during the month of November. VMS Ventures owns 30% of the project and is carried to production. Hudbay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM)(NYSE:HBM) ("Hudbay") owns 70% and is the Operator.

VMS Ventures has received the Reed mine update for November from its joint venture partner and operator Hudbay. During the month of November the project reached a number of milestones including:

      • Surpassing 2,000 metres of total underground project and pre-production development
      • 627 consecutive days without a lost time accident
      • Completion of 85 metre level ore development from zones 30 and 20 and production of 13,154 tonnes of ore
      • Completion of two ventilation raises from the 85 to 50 metre levels
      • Commissioning of the main fresh air ventilation 600 HP fan on 50 metre level
      • Project remains on budget and on schedule

In the month of November 294 metres of underground development were completed, reaching a total of 2,079 metres. Project development reached 1,662 metres with an additional 417 metres of pre-production development.

The focus for December will remain on safety and continued ramp development down to the 135 metre level and pre-production development at the 110 metre level of the mine.

The project remains on budget and on schedule and is expected to reach commercial production by the second quarter of 2014.

Neil Richardson, VMS Ventures' COO states: "We are very pleased to see that the rate of advancement reached 9.8 metres per day in November. This helped achieve the milestone of over two kilometers of underground development to date for the project. Also, the mine operations have prepared the first production stope which is very good news, as well. We expect this pace of progress to continue through December and into 2014 as we work towards commercial production at the Reed copper mine.”

      Auszug aus der Presi:
      - VMS owns 30% of the project and is financed to production
      - Borehole Pulse Electromagnetic Targets indicate the deposit remains open at depth.
      - First production of 8,235 tonnes completed in September 2013
      - 43,829 tonnes of ore mined by the end of February 2014.
      - Commercial production to begin in Q2-2014
      - Cash flow expected in 2015
      - Open Down Plunge

      Why Own VMS ?
      The Reed Copper Mine:
      - Cash flow expected to commence 2015
      - Underground drill stations will explore for additional ore bodies and further define the size of the deposit.
      - Full production expected in Q2, 2014.

$5M and cash flow coming = New Opportunities:
      - We are actively seeking an advanced stage project and are continuously reviewing prospective projects. The current business climate is favorable for high value acquisitions as many companies are struggling to raise money and finance existing projects.

North American Nickel (VMS owns 23.9% of NAN Shares):

      - The world’s next nickel sulphide camp?
      - NAN is exploring a 75 km long, camp scale property near Maniitsoq, on the S.W coast of Greenland.
