´lump graph.´-
      liegenschaften !!!

      graphite graphene

YOU can have a great story to tell, but when the investors have soured on a sector you just have to grin and bear it.Further to last week's note about the challenge to rare-earth hopefuls, this week comes news that South Korea's Samsung Group is investing 1.5 trillion won ($1.5 billion) into 27 research projects, many focused on finding alternatives to rare earths for a range of hi-tech products. Like Japan, South Korea wants to free itself from dependence on China. They don't want a repeat of the soaring price gains of two years ago and have clearly decided they can't rely on the non-China crowd to actually ever get into production.

On Tuesday, Peak Resources (PEK) hit a 52-week low of 8.4c, having reached 98c during the 2011 rare-earth bubble. As Peak points out, it is one of the very few companies outside China to have produced separated, high-purity rare-earth oxides. Moreover, 85 per cent of its Ngualla resource in Tanzania is made up of the more critical rare earths including neodymium, praseodymium and europium. You just can't sell a rare-earth story these days.

But you can still apparently sell a graphite one.
Archer Exploration (AXE) got a nice run on news that its resource looks suited for processing into the new wonder material graphene. This is the one-atom-thick new age carbon-based product that stands to revolutionise the manufacture of products such as mobile devices, lithium-ion batteries, high-strength composite materials (for aircraft, for example), lightweight containers and solar cells. And many, many more.

Archer's graphite comes from its Campoona project on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. The company has just had word from the research trials conducted with the University of Adelaide which show the Campoona product could be used for a range of graphene applications. No wonder the company -- and traders -- were excited. But a word of caution: Australia is in a race with the rest of the world, both for the production of graphite and for graphene.

Locally Valence Industries (VXL) is out with a $10 million raising to get the mothballed Uley mine (also on Eyre Peninsula) back in full production by next year. During the week Triton Minerals (TON) announced it has moved to majority control of its huge graphite target in Mozambique. Plenty of other hopefuls such as Lincoln Minerals (LML), Lamboo Resources (LMB), Kibaran Resources (KNL) and Bora Bora Resources (BBR) are applying the whip to keep up with Canadian and other runners as the sector rounds the home turn.

On graphene, the stable door is well open. Earlier this year the BBC reported that China had registered 2204 graphene patents, South Korea 1160. Samsung was in the lead of individual holders with 407 patents, IBM second with 114. No doubt all those numbers are much bigger now

....bekanntlich findet dieser tage grad eine viel beachtete graphit- conf.
in NY statt, die weiteren aufschluß geben sollte, wohin es in diesem
      rohstoff- sektor geht
