Positiver Kommentar zur Ergebnismeldung, Quelle The Street:

...Gold for June delivery is up by 1.08% to $1,278.60 per ounce on the COMEX this morning.

A weak dollar is helping to push the precious metal into the green today. Dollar dominated assets such as gold become less expensive to those that hold other currencies when the greenback struggles.

Additionally, gold is being supported as the Federal Reserve is taking its time in regards to another interest rate hike.

"This metal remains fundamentally bullish and could be destined to surge towards $1308 with risk aversion boosting its safe haven allure," Lukman Otunuga, research analyst at FXTM said in a note, MarketWatch reports.

"With U.S. rate rise expectations rapidly fading into the distance and dollar vulnerability becoming the dominant theme in the global markets, bullish investors have been provided the platform needed to attack relentlessly," Otunuga continued.

Additionally, on Tuesday Goldman Sachs raised its gold price forecast for the coming months due to strong net speculative positioning and the weak dollar, Reuters reports.

Goldman raised its three month outlook to $1,200 per ounce from $1,100 per ounce. For the next six months Goldman sees gold hitting $1,180 per ounce, up from $1,050 per ounce. For the next 12 month the firm sees gold prices hitting $1,150 per ounce from its previous $1,000 forecast.

Kinross Gold is a Toronto-based mining company that is engaged in gold mining and related activities, including exploration and acquisition of gold-bearing properties, the extraction and processing of gold-containing ore, and reclamation of gold mining properties.

Separately, TheStreet Ratings has set a "hold" rating and a score of C- on Kinross Gold stock. The primary factors that have impacted the rating are mixed - some indicating strength, some showing weaknesses, with little evidence to justify the expectation of either a positive or negative performance for this stock relative to most other stocks.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its solid stock price performance, impressive record of earnings per share growth and compelling growth in net income. ...

Analysts upwardly revised their ratings and price targets on Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (ABX), Kinross Gold Corporation (USA) (KGC), and Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (AUY)

Analysts are weighing in on gold stocks Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX), Kinross Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:KGC), and Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY). Here's a quick roundup of today's bullish brokerage notes on ABX, KGC, and AUY.

ABX has been an absolute beast on the charts, surging 154% year-to-date at $18.74, and hitting an annual high of $19.50 last week. Goldman Sachs rewarded the gold stock, lifting its price target to $22 from $16.30 -- and boosting the shares 3.5% this morning. Another round of bullish brokerage notes could provide another catalyst higher. After all, over two-thirds of analysts tracking Barrick Gold Corporation rate it a "hold" or worse.

Last night, KGC reported breakeven quarterly earnings but lower-than-expected revenue. Nonetheless, Goldman Sachs upgraded its rating to "neutral" and more-than-doubled its price target to $5.30 -- with at least five other analysts issuing price-target hikes, as well. As a result, Kinross Gold Corporation is 4.7% higher at $5.78, and just a chip-shot away from its annual high of $5.82, touched on May 2. This price action could have short sellers wringing their hands. During the last two reporting periods, short interest on KGC exploded 92.2% higher to over 16 million shares. On the other hand, recent call buyers should be pleased.

AUY received another round of price-target hikes, this time courtesy of Goldman Sachs (to $3.40) and HSBC (to $5), sending the shares sharply higher. Specifically, the gold stock is up 4.7% out of the gate at $4.82, bringing its 2016 gains to 159%. Meanwhile, short-term options traders have been unusually put-focused toward Yamana Gold Inc. The stock's Schaeffer's put/call open interest ratio (SOIR) stands at 0.62 -- in the 94th percentile of its annual range.

      Stay long and have fun.

      ...
The company said it produced 687,463 gold-equivalent ounces in the first quarter, a 9% increase from a year ago. The rise was mainly because of output stemming from the acquisition of Bald Mountain and 50% of Round Mountain, which the company previously did not own.

Revenue from metal sales was $782.6 million in the January-March period, up slightly from $781.4 million in the same quarter of 2015. Kinross attributed this to an increase in gold-equivalent ounces sold offset by a lower average realized gold price.

All-in sustaining cost per gold-equivalent ounce edged down to $963 in the first quarter from $964 a year ago. All-in sustaining costs per gold ounce, sold on a by-product basis, were $957, the same as in the year-ago quarter.

All-in sustaining cost is trending lower, production is higher compared with the previous quarter and year, and we are once again on track to meet our annual guidance at each of our regions and company-wide,” said J. Paul Rollinson, president and chief executive officer.

Kinross listed adjusted operating cash flow of $202.6 million, or 17 cents per share, in the first quarter. The tally for the year-ago quarter was $214.8 million, or 19 cents per share.

Rollinson provided an update on two major fronts – the Tasiast mine in Mauritania and the Bald Mountain mine in Nevada that was acquired at the start of the year.

"At Tasiast, we are moving ahead with the phase-one expansion, which is expected to nearly double production, while reducing cost of sales significantly, at a manageable capital cost,” he said. “At the same time, we completed a pre-feasibility study for a potential phase-two expansion that would transform the operation into our largest mine, with one of the lowest costs.
With the acquisition of our Nevada-based assets now complete, we are more confident in Bald Mountain's clear upside potential and expect to convert a substantial amount of the site's estimated mineral resources into mineral reserves.”

Officials said they expect Kinross to be within its 2016 guidance for production of between 2.7 million and 2.9 million gold-equivalent ounces, with all-in sustaining costs of $890 to $990 per gold-equivalent ounce. Guidance for capital expenditures increased to $755 million to reflect the additional $160 million expected to be spent on the Tasiast phase-one expansion.
