      Arch Coal kommt gerade aus dem Chapter 11 (Insolvenzverfahren)

      Die Schulden, wurden zum aller grössten Teil von den Gläubigern abgeschrieben!

      Die "alten" Aktien....wurden wertlos!

      die AG wurde mehr oder weniger neu gegründet....mit neuen frischen Aktien.

      Arch Coal war...und ist immer noch der zweit grösste US Kohle Produzent.

      In 2017...will man 15 Mio Tonnen Kohle produzieren.

      Aufgesplittet in 50/50 Thermalkohle / Kokskohle (coking-coal)

      ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      und jetzt kommt die BOMBE!

      ALARM!!!

      ...der Kokskohlepreis (coking-coal....metallurgical coal) ist die letzten Monate...

      EXPLODIERT!!!

      von unter 100 $ die Tonne....

      auf über 300 US $:eek::D:eek:

      http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ft.co…

      https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CwqK1MUXUAEekXw.jpg

      +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      Arch Coal braucht nach diesem Bericht:

      http://www.barrons.com/articles/arch-coals-shares-could-catc…

      Einen Kokskohlepreis von 48 US$ um profitabel zu sein!!!

      Somit könnte Arch Coal evtl. 250 $ die Tonne Kokskohle (coking-coal) an Gewinn vor Steuern
      verbuchen:D

      Bei 7,5 Mio Tonnen Kokskohle im Jahr...könnten dies evtl. knapp 2 Milliarden US$ an Gewinn vor
      Steuern bedeuten!!!

      Die aktuelle Börsenbewertung von Arch Coal, beträgt z.Z. lächerliche 1,8 Milliarden US $

      und somit (bei 300 $ die Tonne Kokskohle) ein KGV von 1

      +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      ...und jetzt haben wir nur die Kokskohle berechnet!

      und die 7,5 Mio Tonnen Thermalkohle vollkommen unbeachtet gelassen!

      +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      Als besonderes Schmankerl, kommt noch hinzu...dass 1 grosse Mine von Arch...die sogenannte

      SPRUCE 1 Mine....seit Jahren von der EPA (US-Umweltschutzbehörde) blockert wird zu produzieren.

      Diese Blockade, wird höchst wahrscheinlich durch die neue Republikanische Regierung von Trump
      aufgehoben....denn der neue EPA-Chef ist der Kohlefreundliche General Scott Pruitt.

      +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      Rumpelofen, sagt:

      STRONG BUY

      zu Arch Coal

      On Thursday the price dropped 2.5% to $291.70 a tonne.

      BMO Capital Markets calculates that spot met coal prices have increased 237%, to over US$300 per tonne, over the last six months “on the back of policy-driven supply constraints in China and supply disruptions from seaborne producers.” The annual market shock was reportedly “driven by China’s policymakers restricting coal operations to 276 days per year from 330 days per year to cope with overcapacity and low prices.” China regulators subsequently announced that “all compliant and safe coal mines to operate at full capacity” until the “end of the heating season.”

      BMO Research notes there are a “few reasons to expect the met coal market to remain tight through early 2017.” Mine and mill inventory levels are reportedly at the “lowest levels since 2014,” which could “continue to support prices about US$250 per tonne.” Ongoing logistical challenges in China and the rainy season in Australia could also assist in underpinning the rally.

      On Nov. 22 BMO Research increased its price forecasts for met coal to an average of US$198 per tonne in 2017, and US$130 per tonne in 2018. Analysts expect the market to move back into surplus next year, and forecast 25 million tonnes of “incremental export supply from Australia, Mozambique, Mongolia, and North America, which more than offsets an estimated 10 million tonnes in additional supply cuts from China next year.”

      BMO analysts conclude that ultimately “China’s steel production, driven by export demand, depends on the growth of global demand,” and estimate that the Asian industrial leaders steel exports will decline by 2 million tonnes next year to around 98 million tonnes. Meanwhile, the U.S. and India each represent around 6% of global steel demand, and “Europe’s anti-austerity movement could be a welcome boost to steel demand.”

      Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 53.872.165 von rumpelofen am 11.12.16 10:29:40Fortune reported that most of the US coal industry doubts Donald Trump can fulfill his promise to make the ailing industry great again in a country awash in dirt-cheap natural gas, a competing fuel. But a small sub-section of the coal sector that mines metallurgical coal s gearing up for a Trump-inspired boom.

      Jason Bostic, a vice president at the West Virginia Coal Association, referring to Trump’s infrastructure agenda said “This is the best news that Appalachia as a whole has had in about 10 years. Suddenly there’s a little bit of hope here.”

      Corsa Coal, a producer of met coal based in Pennsylvania, was already encouraged by the China-driven price spike before Trump’s victory. Now it believes U.S. politics are going its way too. George Dethlefsen, Corsa’s chief executive said “The thing that has got me the most excited is the potential for infrastructure spending. All those things are very energy and steel-intensive, and that’s good for our business.”

      The company plans to boost its production of met coal by 70% in 2017 to around 1.2 million short tons. In the meantime, it is putting mines on a six-day-a-week schedule, up from four days, and it is looking at loading coal on its midnight shift, which it normally reserves for maintenance.

      Arch Coal, which produces both met and steam coal used in power plants, said it was also optimistic about Trump, particularly his promise to roll back regulations.

      But other representatives of the steam coal industry have said regulation reversals may not overcome their main problem: plentiful and cheap natural gas following a decade-long hydraulic fracturing drilling boom.

      National production figures for met coal are unavailable, since the government does not break the data out. But total US coal production has fallen to its lowest level since 1986, costing the industry thousands of jobs, as low natural gas prices and President Barack Obama’s emissions and water regulations took their toll.
