Kernprodukt ist Adzenys: “First and only FDA-approved extended release orally disintegrating tablet for the treatment of ADHD in patients 6 years and older”

Seit Marktstart im Mai 2016 stetig steigende Verschreibungszahlen und mehr zu erwarten, da das Produkt klare Vorteile gegenüber den Alternativen hat, z.B. nur einmalige tägliche Anwendung, "besserer Geschmack" (bei Kindern nicht unwichtig).

Zwei weitere NEOS-Produkte (Fokus ebenfalls ADHS) sollen im Jahresverlauf die Zulassung erhalten:
• Amphetamine XR-Oral Suspension – NDA submitted Nov 15, 2016; PDUFA date: September 15, 2017
• Cotempla (methylphenidate) XR-ODT - NDA resubmitted Dec 20, 2016; Class 2 resubmission (6-month review); PDUFA date: June 19, 2017

Wenn NEOS für beide die Zulassung erhält, ist es nicht abwegig, dass NEOS mit seinen drei Produkten in den nächsten 3-4 Jahren 5% des ADHS-Marktes erobert = 520 Millionen USD Umsatz p.a.

NEOS hat vor wenigen Wochen eine Kapitalerhöhung über 25 Mio. USD durchgeführt (ohne Warrants!).

Dazu muss man wissen, dass sie eine sehr hohe Cash-Burn-Rate („The Company reported a net loss of $18.4 million in the three months ended December 31, 2016“) und zudem 60 Millionen USD langfristige Schulden haben. Das Cash brauchen sie indes, um die Pipeline in den Markt zu bringen.

Nach der Kapitalerhöhung stehen nun 22,5 Mio. Aktien aus – es ist also immer noch ein „low floater“. Börsenwert bei aktuell 7,30 USD also 165 Mio. USD.

Mir gefällt außerdem, dass das Unternehmen nun echte und steigende Umsätze generiert (125 Sales-Leute) und sie einen Top Business Development Mann haben (Thomas McDonnell; kommt von Shire und wird eben genau Shire sehr viel Marktanteile abnehmen).

NEOS ist keine Aktie die explodieren wird. ABER es scheint mir jetzt – nach Jahren der Talfahrt – genau der richtige Moment für ein längerfristiges Investment zu sein. Wie oben erläutert besteht hier immenses Wachstumspotenzial und ich denke, dass NEOS das auch sukzessive umsetzen wird.

Die Betroffenen mögen erstmal ihren junkfood Konsum abstellen.
Auf phosphorhaltiges Essen und künstliche Süßungsmittel verzichten, dann kann damit gerechnet werden das sich das ADHD entspeichern.

Aber gut, Wem das zu unbequem ist mag Medikamente einnehmen, die Aktionäre werden sich die Hände reiben.

ADHS ist eine erfundene Krankheit, bester Beweis bin ich selber. Habe eine Diagnose für Erwachsenen-ADS- alles selbst bezahlt, würde sogar als Behindert gelten mit daraus erwachsenden Vorteilen und sage heute, ich habe alles - ich bin nicht normal- nur kein AD(H)S - eine reine Erfindung. Ich bin nicht einmal krank, ich bin kerngesund, ich bin anders, kreativ und Querdenker. Ich sehe Dinge, die den meisten Menscxhen nicht auffallen. Ich habe damals das Metylphenidat eigenständig abgesetzt, weil ich extreme Depressionen, andere Nebenwirkungen und Kreativitätsverlust bekam, den ich danach in den Jahren nur ansatzweise wieder aufbauen konnte. Kaum zu fassen, welche Nebenwirkungen und Langzeitschäden bei ruhigzustellenden Kindern entstehen. Denen fehlt nur ausreichend Bewegung an der frischen Luft, nur mäßiger Computer/Etc. konsum und gesunde Ernährung. Solche Aktien fasse ich aus ethischen Gründen niemals an.

Hallo ihr beiden,

auch ich habe gewisse Zweifel an ADHS. Aber ich bin kein Arzt und wenn man sich anschaut, wie z.B. auch ein "Burnout" plötzlich überall anzufinden ist (was man früher womöglich als Depression oder schlichtweg Erschöpfung betrachtet hätte), so ist es nicht an mir hierüber ein Urteil zu fällen und ich glaube auch nicht, dass man mit einem Investment in NEOS etwas unethisches tut - im Biotechsektor stößt Ethik in vielen Bereichen an Grenzen (man denke nur an die leidigen Tierversuche).

Aber in der Tat: euer Hinweis ist aus Investmentperspektive ein "Risikofaktor". Sollte ADHS künftig mal verstärkt in Frage gestellt werden, könnte das den Markt sicherlich beeinträchtigen.

Hallo M@trix, Dieses Risiko sehe ich in der Tat für solche Unternehmen, irgendwann, jetzt noch nicht, auch wenn wir definitiv seit 1948 in der Endzeit leben und ich davon ausgehe, dass wir Enddreissiger das Ende der Endzeit noch erleben werden.. Andererseits sehe ich es so, wie Du es früher schonmal gesagt hast: Wenn Du , ich , wir nicht davon potentiell profitieren, tun es andere, und bei den anderen kann man bezweifeln, ob sie ihre Gewinne sinnvoll einsetzen. Da ich jedoch an Jesus Christus glaube, habe ich unbewusst immer eine Hemmschwelle, was materielle Gewinne angeht, und das zieht sich natürlich durch mein ganzes 3D-Leben. Aber es ist eine gute Schule, um dem Materiellen letztendlich zu entsagen.

Nur noch mal als Erinnerung:

- A New Drug Application (NDA) for Cotempla XR-ODT, the Company’s methylphenidate extended-release ODT product, is currently under review at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and its Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) goal date is June 19, 2017. Wenn beide zugelassen werden, dürfte NEOS im kommenden Jahr erhebliches Wachstum verzeichnen.

Cash haben sie vorerst genug:

Ich denke, NEOS hat noch kaum jemand auf dem Schirm. Natürlich steckt in dem aktuellen Börsenwert von 162 Mio. USD schon eine gewisse Erwartungshaltung, aber zumindest seit dem ich den Wert beobachte macht das Management alles richtig und ich denke, sie werden sich zu einem relevanten Player in diesem Multi-Milliarden-Markt entwickeln. Diese Aktie kann daher für viele Monate oder gar Jahre steigen und ich bin der Ansicht, dass jetzt ein guter Zeitpunkt ist um hier einzusteigen.

Bei NEOS wird weiter zugekauft. Sobald wir die 8,00$ überwinden, sollte der Kurs recht zügig bis auf 10$ laufen können.

NEOS ist noch immer so gut wie unbekannt. Daher kann diese Aktie m.E. sehr lange laufen - insbesondere wenn die beiden Zulassungen kommen.

(NEOS), a pharmaceutical company focused on developing, manufacturing and commercializing innovative extended-release (XR) products using its proprietary modified-release drug delivery and orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) technologies, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Cotempla XR-ODT, the first and only methylphenidate extended-release orally disintegrating tablet for the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 to 17 years old.

The approval of Cotempla XR-ODT was supported by a Phase 3 clinical trial in children in a laboratory classroom setting. Treatment with Cotempla XR-ODT showed a statistically significant improvement in ADHD symptom control compared to placebo across the classroom day (placebo-subtracted difference of -11 [95% CI -13.9, -8.2]). Onset of effect was evident at one hour postdose and lasted through 12 hours. No serious adverse events were reported during the trial, and the adverse event profile was consistent with the established safety profile for other extended-release methylphenidate products.i In addition, data from bioequivalence and pharmacokinetic studies in children with ADHD was also submitted.ii

Cotempla XR-ODT and Adzenys XR-ODT are Schedule II controlled substances. CNS stimulants (amphetamines and methylphenidate-containing products) have a high potential for abuse and dependence. Physicians should assess the risk of abuse prior to prescribing and monitor for signs of abuse and dependence.

“Cotempla XR-ODT offers a new methylphenidate option in ADHD management because it dissolves in the mouth with no need for chewing or drinking water. Könnte eine interessante kurzfristige Spekulation sein, auch wenn man nicht nur auf Übernahmegerüchte gehen sollte. Da aber schon Medikamente am Markt sind, dürfte der Kurs nach unten zumindest etwas abgesichert sein.

Mal sehen, wie die Quartalszahlen am Mittwoch ausfallen.

Aytu kaufen Neos: Das Spezialpharmaunternehmen Aytu hat einen Deal zur Übernahme des pharmakommerziellen Pharmaunternehmens Neos Therapeutics Inc. im Aufgelegung zum Teil bekannt gegeben.

Die Vorstände beider Unternehmen haben dem Deal zugestimmt.

Nach Abschluss der Fusion erhalten die Neos-Aktionäre 0,1088 Aytu-Aktien für jede Aktie, die sie an Neos halten, unter Berücksichtigung des 1-für-10-Reverse-Splits der Aytu-Aktien, das am 8. Dezember in Kraft trat.

Die Konditionen des Deals belaufen sich auf 44,9 Millionen US-Dollar.

Die Neos-Aktionäre werden am Ende einen Anteil von 30 % an Aytu halten.
