Bedeutender Patenterwerb für Biometreisysteme für alle Fahrzeugtypen (Land, Wasser, Luft!!!):
SENSE Holdings Acquires Exclusive Sales, Marketing and Purchase Rights for Biometric Patent to Secure Vehicles
Secures Automobiles, Trucking, Marine, and Aviation Vehicles Using Biometrics
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Mar 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- SENSE Holdings, Inc. (SEHO) (SENSE), a leading provider of biometrically secured authentication and identification systems, announced today that the company has acquired exclusive sales, marketing, and representation rights to a patent that allows " Keyless" access and operation of a motor vehicle using biometric identification. Sense Holdings has reached an agreement with the inventor to acquire all rights to the patent. This patent is especially valuable in the biometric keyless entry and security market. The biometric patent granted is used for an individual to access their vehicle and verify the identity of the driver before the vehicle is deemed operable by the vehicles on-board computer system. The patent also allows for the control of critical operation of the vehicle, such as ignition and transmission. The patented technology supports all vehicles such as autos, boats, planes, trucks, buses, etc.
The size and scope of the potential market is massive. In the U.S. alone last year, (2003) new car sales were just over 16 million. Sales in 2003 were down slightly from the previous year and the " Big 3" all lost market share. In contrast to the " Big 3," the luxury car market has continued to grow, and it seems that companies that offer greater comfort and convenience have flourished. In the U.S. alone, total vehicle theft was 8.2 billion dollars in 2003.
" This patented technology not only will significantly reduce automotive theft, but also allows the registered user the freedom to operate the vehicle without a key," stated Dore Perler, Chief Executive of SENSE Holdings, Inc.
" We at SENSE believe that a serious look at the recent trends in the automotive industry indicate that the luxury car manufacturers are moving towards some sort of keyless systems. Lexus, BMW and Mercedes are now offering the consumer a way to access and drive their vehicles without the use of a key; however, the user still must carry some form of a `Keyfob,`" stated Andrew Goldrich, VP of Sales of Marketing for SENSE Holdings, Inc. " This `Keyfob` still must be used when accessing and starting the vehicle. It is important to note that Lexus charges $1,000.00 for their `Keyfob` and Mercedes charges $1,040," stated Mr. Goldrich.
SENSE believes that this invention will significantly reduce the losses incurred by insurance companies due to auto theft and has a true return on investment component. SENSE Holdings plans to market this technology for license in the automotive, marine, aviation, and transportation industries, as well as to the major insurance companies

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush on Tuesday nominated federal judge Michael Chertoff, a former prosecutor and architect of the anti-terror USA Patriot Act after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, to become secretary of homeland security.
After the debacle involving the nomination of former New York police commissioner Bernard Kerik, who abruptly withdrew from consideration a month ago in the face of some uncomfortable personal revelations, Chertoff, a U.S. appeals court judge in Philadelphia, appeared to be a safe choice.
Bush pointed out Chertoff, 51, has already been confirmed by the Senate three times for previous jobs. Reaction to the nomination from Capitol Hill was cautiously optimistic.
Chertoff`s confirmation would bring a veteran of the U.S. legal response to the Sept. 11 attacks to head the 180,000-employee department charged with guarding the country against a repeat.
"In the days after Sept. 11, Mike helped trace the terrorist attacks to the al Qaeda network. He understood immediately that the strategy in the war on terror is to prevent attacks before they occur," Bush said.
The White House also announced that Fran Townsend, White House homeland security adviser and mentioned as a candidate for homeland security secretary, would stay in her job.
On Sept. 11, 2001, Chertoff was managing the Justice Department`s criminal division, and was closely involved in the investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks.
He also gave congressional testimony arguing for passage of the Patriot Act, which has been criticized by civil liberties groups.
UNDERCOVER AGENTS
The American Civil Liberties Union said Chertoff should be questioned aggressively about his dedication to U.S. constitutional rights and said he was instrumental in revising internal Justice Department guidelines to allow the FBI to infiltrate religious and political gatherings with undercover agents.
Bush and Chertoff stressed the nominee will preserve U.S. civil liberties.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are imposing unprecedented security to protect the inauguration of President Bush on Jan 20, the first such ceremony since the Sept. 11 2001 attacks, officials said on Tuesday.
Thousands of police and military troops will be on patrol with bomb-sniffing dogs and spectators will be required to pass through metal detectors before attending any inaugural events or before being allowed to watch the parade from the street.
U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said although there was no specific threat to the ceremony itself, security would still be heightened in Washington during the swearing-in and the four days of celebrations opening Bush`s second term.
"The security will be at the highest levels that they`ve ever been for any inauguration. Our goal is that any attempt on the part of any one or any group to disrupt the inaugural will be repelled by multiple levels of security," he said.
Ridge, who is stepping down from his post, said there were no plans to raise the nation`s color-coded terror threat level, which was established after Bush declared a war against terrorism after the Sept. 11 attacks.
Officials gave few details of the plans.
Maj. Gen. Galen Jackman, commander of the military district of Washington, said 2,500 military troops would be deployed in addition to thousands of police officers patrolling the streets and transportation systems.
City employees have the day off, and federal government agencies in the Washington metropolitan area will be closed on inauguration day. Officials have said the holiday is necessary to avoid gridlock with some streets blocked off.
Streets bordering on a large swathe of downtown Washington will be closed on Jan. 20 for the inaugural activities, and some subway stations will be closed for parts of the day.
SKY PATROLS
Military and Homeland Security airplanes and helicopters will patrol the skies and the Coast Guard will enforce a security zone on the Potomac River and other waterways around the city.

Smoke Signals for Explosives
A new technology that catches tiny particles of bomb materials in the air and blows them up may lead to cheaper, smaller detectors
What`s the best way to find out if a material is explosive? Blow it up. That`s what a group of scientists at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Nevada, Reno, are doing as they build hand-held bomb-detector wands that could replace the bulky and expensive equipment currently used at airports and security checkpoints. Advertisement
Using an array of what look like tiny silicon diving boards -- each only a tenth of a millimeter long, or about half the width of a human hair -- the scientists catch tiny particles of explosive material floating in the air. Heating the boards to about 900 degrees Fahrenheit causes the explosive particles to blow up. The shock causes the silicon to flex back and forth, which is picked up by sensors. While the boards are too small to detonate anything larger than a few molecules, they create a tiny puff of smoke from the explosion.
MAN`S BEST FRIEND. The new bomb-detection method is part of a program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Researchers are using these "micro-cantilevers" -- the technical term for the mini-diving boards -- to detect and identify particular molecules, from TNT and water contaminates to specific proteins in the body. The work could ultimately lead to cheaper bomb detectors, an improved ability to uncover biological hazards, and better medical equipment. It`s being funded by the U.S. Energy Dept.`s Office of Biological & Environmental Research, as well as the Justice Dept. and the Homeland Security Dept.
The research team -- led by Oak Ridge Labs scientist Thomas Thundat, and assisted by Lal Pinnaduwage of Oak Ridge and Jesse Adams, a professor at the University of Nevada, Reno -- sees a bright future for the technology in bomb detection. Current detection machines are huge and can cost anywhere from $40,000 to $1.3 million. Other than these machines, "the best technology out there is a [bomb-sniffing] dog," says Adams.
Clearly, the market needs a lower-cost alternative. The new detectors are as sensitive as a dog, being able to detect as little as 70 picograms of an explosive. That`s about one-ten-millionth the mass of a grain of sand. The cantilevers are so small they could be installed in a hand-held wand, or placed throughout a building`s ventilation system.
DANGEROUS OR DAPPER? The cantilever program began with a simple premise 10 years ago: Every chemical compound has a match -- another compound to which it can`t help but bind. By coating one side of these diving boards with that attractive chemical, the target substance -- say TNT -- latches on. Because of surface tension, the board bends, and a sensor picks that up.
But a problem with the early design emerged. Other chemicals, like cologne or perfume, latched onto the micro-cantilevers as well. In a crowded airport, telling the difference between the dangerous and the merely dapper would be impossible. The group fixed the problem by introducing bare silicon cantilevers that would be superheated. TNT particles would blow up on contact. Chanel No. 5 would not.
Because the explosion method isn`t as sensitive as the original chemical-matching method, the team is now working on combining the two technologies. The next step is using a variety of differently coated cantilevers to create an extremely sophisticated detector. The different receptors would work together "just like a sensitive nose" to accurately identify materials, says Thundat.
INTERNAL AFFAIRS. Thundat and his team have licensed the technology to two companies. The first, privately held Protoveris, has been developing it for medical use since 2001. With the proper coatings, it can detect specific proteins in the body, which will help doctors measure the effects of some drugs on patients. This week, Protoveris begins beta-testing the device for the first time at the Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
The other business, SENSE Holdings, licensed the technology in 2003 for bomb-detection wands. SENSE execs say they`re looking for development partnerships with major security-device manufacturers and say their wand will be ready for commercialization in 12 months.
In addition to saving costs for airports, "we really hope to put it into many more places that can`t afford [explosive-detection] technologies right now." says Dore Perler, CEO and president of SENSE. "We think the potential is enormous." If he`s right, detecting bombs will become a whole lot easier

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 2010 MEMS sensors will be everywhere, and sensing virtually everything. Scavenging power from sunlight, vibration, thermal gradients, and background RF, sensors motes will be immortal, completely self contained, single chip computers with sensing, communication, and power supply built in. Entirely solid state, and with no natural decay processes, they may well survive the human race.
Kris Pister

Hallo zusammen u. frohe Ostern!
Gruss,
IronMike

SENSE Holdings Develops International Dealer Channel in RFID Tracking Sector
SenseTag RFID Technology Tracks People, Places and Things So You Know WHO, WHAT and WHERE in Real Time!
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 7, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- SENSE Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SEHO) (SENSE), a leading provider of biometrically secured authentication and identification systems, announced that the company has shipped its first dealer turnkey start-up kits to security resellers around the world. Sense Holdings will support its first 10 resellers throughout the United States, Thailand and Malaysia. The reseller channel will be marketing the SenseTag RFID system for Asset Tracking. AIC Solutions, based in Meridian, Idaho, has purchased the SenseTag system for deployment at the Bozeman airport in Bozeman, Montana. After the initial testing phase and evaluation of the SenseTag system, AIC was convinced that the SenseTag system was the perfect fit for the airport. The Bozeman airport has purchased the SenseTag system for perimeter gate access of employees and access for preauthorized vendors at the airport.
"The SenseTag system has outperformed all other RFID products for vehicle access that we have tested. We were very impressed with the product`s range and accuracy, and their customer service has been very good," stated Dave Huston, Projects Manager at AIC Solutions.
Performance is superior to other RFID products commonly used for highway toll management and gated communities because the SenseTag is an active system and not subject to the inherent problems of passive technology. SENSE Holdings has also signed Body Lines, of Plano, Texas, a custom integrator providing solution-based security products to the auto industry for inventory, asset tracking and theft protection, and Entrance Controls of Honolulu, HI, a security integrator offering solutions for RFID, Biometrics and CCTV.
"We are excited to be working with our new partners to develop more secure solutions to the common problems we encounter on a daily basis," stated Frank Taddeo, VP of Sales and Marketing for SENSE Holdings, Inc.

Defense Stocks Analysis
67 WALL STREET, New York--June 12, 2003-- In an in-depth (2,100 words) Analyst Interview, Peter Arment, a Vice President of JSA Research, Inc., examines the outlook for the sector and shares specific stock recommendations. This interview excerpt is part of an in-depth interview from our 25-page TWST Defense Conference Issue featuring in-depth interviews from an analyst and top management from five sector firms discussing long-term trends of defense spending, recapitalization of US military, growth margins, market shares, current trends, stock recommendations, stocks to avoid and outlook for the sector. This issue is available to subscribers by telephoning 212-952-7400 x1799 or through The Wall Street Transcript

TWST: Can you give us a quick overview of your coverage?
Mr. Arment: Most of my coverage is oriented toward more of the mid-cap and smaller cap names within the defense and aerospace sector, names like Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and smaller names like DRS Technologies (DRS) and EDO Corporation (EDO). My coverage primarily consists of companies that are generally under $5 billion in market cap.
TWST: What has gone on in this group over the past six or nine months?
Mr. Arment: Valuations have been impacted from a negative standpoint since last October. At that time we saw a lot of other investors begin to dip their toes in the water regarding higher technology names, hoping that the economy was going to be showing some strength and improving. Investors used the aerospace and defense names, which they had been invested in since September 11, as a source of funds.
TWST: Has that been kind of a correct move, given the stock performance, or not?
Mr. Arment: It appears to be. It looks like there`s been basically some multiple compression. Momentum investors pushed the group to some pretty high levels; now, we would argue, they are probably in line or modestly undervalued, given the overall market, and the economy.
TWST: Now we are in a "postwar" type of period, where do we go from here in this group?
Mr. Arment: I think the group`s performance is going to be based more on execution. The long-term trend of defense spending remains intact in terms of the recapitalization of the US military. Therefore, the contracts are beginning to flow, and it`s up to the companies to be able to deliver the higher earnings.
TWST: Where is the money going to get spent as we look forward?
Mr. Arment: Various platforms are going to be upgraded or replaced, such as older Air Force fighter and tanker aircraft, armored vehicles and ships. In the intelligence community, a whole breadth of technologies are going to be continually procured - from signal intelligence to various surveillance and reconnaissance technologies and lots of IT security-related products, especially from a secure communications standpoint. Regarding research and development, a lot of money is being spent in the missile defense area, which will continue to happen over the next decade. There are also a lot of emerging technologies that will be probably involved more with the Homeland Security Department - things dealing with border security and various biometric technologies for fingerprinting and a continuation of the baggage explosive systems for packages and cargo containers.
TWST: What kind of growth are we likely to see in defense spending over the next couple of years?
Mr. Arment: I think, when you look at the overall defense budget, you`re looking at 5%-7% for the next several years. Procurement and research and development accounts, which are really what are considered the investment accounts, will be growing more in the range of 8%-10% on an annual basis. That`s the real focus for investors.
TWST: Were there any big positive surprises or any negative surprises in the first quarter?
Mr. Arment: No negative surprises that stand out. Northrop (NOC) beat estimates better than expected, and I think that was a little bit of a surprise. They also raised their guidance for the end of the year. I don`t think investors were expecting that, so I think that was probably the biggest surprise.
TWST: What names are you recommending to investors today?
Mr. Arment: We`re still recommending ATK, a pure play on the ammunition side of things. We`re recommending EDO, which is benefiting from a lot of the aircraft that are entering production, the F-22, and a lot of money being spent on the JSF and bomb rack upgrades to the F-16 fleet. They`re benefiting across the board in all those areas. We are also recommending Curtiss-Wright (CW), which has made a few acquisitions over the last year and has raised their defense exposure now to close to 50%.
TWST: With ATK, what`s the prime appeal to you there?
Mr. Arment: Not only is it a war stock, where you`re benefiting from the replenishment of the weapons that were expended, but we`re also seeing an improvement in terms of our spending on precision weaponry. ATK has about 40% of their revenues tied to precision weaponry. So over time, as we continually spend more money in that area, they`re going to be a beneficiary.
TWST: How about EDO? What`s the appeal?
Mr. Arment: EDO is similar. They made a few acquisitions and have positioned themselves quite well. They happen to be the world leader in terms of bomb racks, which is what ultimately holds the missile inside a fighter aircraft. As the weapons have gotten smarter, so have the racks and so they`re receiving contracts to upgrade a lot of our current fighter aircraft with the smart racks. They`re also seeing the benefits now of the F-22 moving to higher rates of production.
TWST: How long are these contracts typically? Are they one shot or one platform or do they run more broadly for somebody like EDO?
Mr. Arment: Usually with the Defense Department, you`re looking at multi-year contracts with options that are funded on an annual basis, so you usually get awards that probably have two- or three-year time horizons.
TWST: Is there much competition for what they do?
Mr. Arment: No. They`re pretty much the only game in town regarding bomb rack technology. Now, Lockheed (LMT) and Boeing (BA) can develop it themselves internally, but they have to do it at a much higher cost, so they choose to just partner with EDO when it involves developing the aircraft.
TWST: The other one you mentioned was Curtiss-Wright. That`s kind of an old name.
Mr. Arment: It`s an old name, but they really have changed their focus over the last two years, going from a company that was heavily oriented toward the commercial aircraft cycle to being one that`s now got a more even mix with as much as 50% tied to defense spending. They`re really a very highly engineering product company with very high barriers to entry regarding their products, such as leakless valves in submarines. Curtiss-Wright has over $60 million of content per submarine. In 2007 the US will start procuring two subs a year, so immediately their revenues, regarding submarines, in that one year will go from $60 million to $120 million. They have similar related contents on ships and aircraft carriers. When the shipbuilding rate goes from five to 10 over the next five years, Curtiss-Wright will experience double-digit organic growth.

Sense’s Exclusive Explosives Sensor Technology
Brief Technology Introduction.
This new explosives sensor technology is based on Micro Electro-Mechanical Sensors (MEMS). These microstructures are fabricated in a very similar fashion to mass produced electronic integrated circuits. MEMS can be designed as sensors for a wide diversity of physical, chemical and biological applications. At the present time, these microstructures are commercially manufactured for a number of applications, ranging from atomic force microscopes (AFM) to deceleration sensors for automotive airbag deployment systems (SRS). MEMS based chemical sensors are fabricated in the form of extremely sensitive microcantilever structures.
Microcantilever sensors operate by detecting changes in resonance response or deflection caused by mass loading, surface stress variation or changes in damping conditions. Specifically, microcantilevers designed as explosives sensors are coated on one side with a chemical substance designed to absorb specific explosive molecules. An absorbed molecule induces the respective microcantilever to immediately undergo changes in deflection or resonance response. Induced changes in individual microcantilevers can then be detected and measured in real-time by a suitable microprocessor based system.
The fundamental advantages of this new hand-held explosive detection technology are very low cost, extremely high sensitivity and real-time operation. A proof-of-principle prototype is currently operating at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Several US Government Agencies have invested approximately ten million dollars in the development of MEMS based sensor technology.
The Exclusive US Patents.
Sense has acquired eight exclusive Patent Licenses based on MEMS technology. These eight Patent Licenses are exclusive for chemical sensing for all security applications and were acquired on a royalty-based structure and other considerations, from UT-Battelle, LLC which manages Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the United States Department of Energy. These eight US Patent Licenses are:
• Microbar Sensor. US Patent #5,445,008.
• Microcantilever Sensor. US Patent #5,719,324.
• Microcantilever Detector for Explosives. US Patent #5,918,263.
• Method and Apparatus for Self-Calibration of Capacitive Sensors, US Patent #6,545.495.
• A Capacitive Readout Multi-Element Sensor Array with Common-Mode Cancellation. US Patent #6,167,748.
• Three other US Patents have been applied for by ORNL and are currently pending.
In addition to the above Patents, Sense is in the process of applying for three additional and very significant US Patents. These Patent Applications are related to the real-world implementation of this new technology. These additional patents will significantly enhance the market strength of Sense’s proprietary technology.

The Technology Development Program.
During the past two years, scientists at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) have made remarkable progress towards the realization of a lifelong dream. This scientific dream has been the rapid and accurate detection and identification of chemical substances utilizing sensor chips very similar to mass-produced electronic integrated circuits. These new chips are called Micro Electromechanical Sensors (MEMS).
Last year, ORNL won the very prestigious R&D100 Product of the Year Award for a handheld explosives detector using MEMS technology. Due to these very significant scientific advances, Sense Holdings, Inc. (Sense) and ORNL have jointly decided to undertake a final effort towards the development of a commercial explosives sensor chip with unique high performance capabilities. Towards this end, Sense has entered into a technology development agreement with ORNL. Under this agreement, Sense will provide ORNL with the required funding levels necessary to complete the development of this explosives sensor chip within the next 18 to 24 months.
Initially, this MEMS sensor chip will be capable of quickly and accurately detecting most explosives used by terrorists. Additionally, system modularity will greatly facilitate upgrading fielded systems as new detection capabilities are continuously expanded.
The Product Development Program.
ense has also begun an intensive internal effort to develop a high performance hand-held explosives detector system utilizing this sensor chip. Immediately thereafter, Sense intends to apply to the pertinent regulatory agencies for the required approvals. Manufacturing and marketing operations for this product are tentatively scheduled to begin during the second half of 2007.
In the first quarter of 2007, Sense also plans to begin an internal effort to develop a very comprehensive and sophisticated cargo container security monitoring system for which Sense is in the process of applying for a US Patent. This effort will draw on the experience gained during the previous development effort.
The fundamental architectural criteria will be primarily focused around system modularity and field-upgrade capabilities, both designed to extend the technical longevity of fielded systems. These two fundamental capabilities protect the initial acquisition investment and thus provide an additional level of buyer comfort.
The Potential Customers.
The advent of a low cost, high-performance hand-held explosives detector, opens a whole spectrum of marketing possibilities. Some of the more obvious clients are national security agencies, customs, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, armed forces, private security firms and humanitarian organizations. The following is a partial list of the more obvious facilities, where such a product would have a very significant beneficial impact on existing security levels:
Transportation Infrastructure:
Airport facilities, subway stations, railroad stations, passenger bus terminals, maritime ports and marinas, cruise ships and ferries, commercial cargo and mail transportation companies, car and truck rental facilities (Inspections on vehicle return).
Communications Infrastructure:
Telephone switching centers, television and radio facilities, microwave and satellite communications centers, main Internet service providers, emergency call centers (911) and emergency alarm monitoring centers.
Energy Infrastructure:
Conventional and nuclear power stations, fuel storage depots and pipeline pump stations.
Government Facilities:
Customs and border control checkpoints, diplomatic facilities and permanent international trade missions, courts of law, post offices and other government facilities.
Social Services:
Universities, schools, hospitals, landmarks, monuments, libraries and museums.
Commercial Enterprises:
Public buildings, trade shows, art shows, expositions, concerts, sporting events, industrial facilities, commercial facilities and public storage facilities.
Humanitarian Institutions:
Landmine removal and unexploded ordnance removal.
Product Distribution and Training.
Sense plans to create a national and international distribution networks consisting of reputable and well-established representatives and distributors of brand-name security products. These organizations will also be responsible for extensive operator training and responsive technical field support.
Several months prior to the commencement of manufacturing operations, Sense plans to establish a technical training facility in South Florida. This facility will ensure the appropriate level of technical expertise expected of all the personnel involved in sales, security management, security screening and field support.
The US National Market.
Actual security market projections are very difficult to ascertain, especially in the present security conscious environment. Conservatively, Sense believes that for a high performance, hand-held explosives detector with a price of under $2,000 there is an initial market of 1000 test units for the first year, followed by 10,000 units for the second year and 30,000 units for the third year.
Presently, there does not seem to be on the horizon, any other explosives detector technology with a price/performance ratio comparable to that of MEMS. Therefore, Sense believes that it can quickly achieve a dominant market position as a manufacturer of high performance explosives detectors.
Sense’s marketing strategy includes the generation of recurring revenues from the sales of new and refurbished replacement sensor cartridges, sensor cartridge upgrades, maintenance contracts, software update programs and technical training.
The International Markets.
Sense believes that the export market represents a market potential as large as that of the US. To satisfy this export market, Sense plans to create a distribution network consisting of reputable and well-established representatives and distributors of brand-name security products. These organizations will also be responsible for extensive operator training and responsive technical field support. Sense will sequentially address the US market, followed by the European, the Middle Eastern and Latin American markets.
Product Development and Manufacturing Capabilities.
Sense has brought together a very strong professional product development team consisting of project managers, electronic hardware engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, industrial engineers and technical writers. Sense has also created a Scientific Advisory Board that directs and oversees all of the Company’s research and development activities. In addition, if needs arise, Sense also has access to significant professional resources from local universities and engineering subcontractors.
Presently, Sense prefers to concentrate all of its resources on product development, marketing and technical field support. Therefore, highly qualified and experienced local contract manufacturers will perform most product manufacturing.
Sense has all of the required resources necessary to fully cooperate in all respects with ORNL in the development of this technology. Furthermore, Sense also has all of the required resources necessary to develop, manufacture and market all applications of this technology.
Sense intends to establish itself as a broadly recognized manufacturer of superbly crafted instruments designed for rugged real-world field applications. Towards this end, rigid emphasis will be placed on engineering excellence, strict quality control and professionally responsive field support.
The Competition.
A number of companies are manufacturing and marketing hand-held explosives detectors. These products operate under various scientific principles completely unrelated to Sense’s proprietary MEMS technology. All of these competing detectors are much larger, heavier and significantly costlier than Sense’s MEMS detector. Sense believes that its proprietary detector technology is significantly superior to all other existing technologies.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Oak Ride National Laboratory (ORNL) is the US Department of Energy’s largest science and energy laboratory. Managed since April 2000 by a partnership of the University of Tennessee and Battelle. ORNL was established in 1943 as a part of the secret Manhattan Project to pioneer a method for producing and separating plutonium.
During the 1950’s and 1960’s, ORNL was an international center for the study of nuclear energy and related research in the physical and life sciences. The creation of the US Department of Energy in the 1970’s, led to an expansion of ORNL’s research program into areas of energy production, transmission and conservation. By the turn of the century, the laboratory supported the nation with a peacetime mission that was just as important, but very different from the days of the Manhattan Project.
ORNL has a staff of more than 3,800 and approximately 3,000 guest researchers who spend two weeks or longer each year at Oak Ridge. ORNL funding for FY2005 exceeds $1 billion. UT-Batelle has provided more than $6 million in support of math and science education, economic development and other projects in the greater Oak Ridge region.
ORNL is an international leader in a range of scientific areas that support the Department of Energy’s mission in the Office of Science. The laboratory’s six major scientific competencies include neutron science, energy, high performance computing, complex biological systems, advanced materials and national security.

SENSE Holdings Acquires Exclusive License and Patents for Explosives and Chemical Detection; SENSE Holdings and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to Develop Handheld Detector Using MEMS Technology
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SENSE Holdings, Inc. (SENSE): (OTCBB:SEHO), a leading provider of biometrically secured identification systems and Homeland Security Solutions announced today that the company has signed a long term patent and license agreement with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The new expanded patent and license agreement affords SENSE Holdings Worldwide exclusive rights to sales, manufacturing and distribution rights using Intellectual property acquired from ORNL for the detection of Explosives and chemical warfare agents. The granted rights include the detection of all explosives, narcotics, and chemically based ethers. SENSE has also acquired the option to develop a security solution for the Biological warfare field of use. The Biological field might include solutions for Anthrax, Ricin, Botulinum and others. These additional licenses and patents compliment the existing Intellectual property that SENSE previously acquired in 2001 through the acquisition of Micro Sensor Technologies, Inc. SENSE is currently in the development of a handheld explosives detector utilizing the core technology developed at ORNL. SENSE Holdings intends to fund Oak Ridge for the testing and core development of the device, and SENSE will manufacture the handheld detector for worldwide distribution as permitted under its newly acquired patent and license agreement. SENSE Holdings has filed for additional patents relating to the technology and plans to market these security solutions to Governments, Airports, and Law enforcement agencies, along with private industry worldwide.
"We are very excited to have SENSE Holdings as a commercialization partner for our MEMS technology," stated Alex Fischer, ORNL`s Director of Technology Transfer and Economic Development. "The application areas on which they are focusing the technology will not only provide a financial return but will also address issues of national and international importance, such as explosives detection."
Oak Ridge National Laboratory is operated by UT-Battelle under contract to the United States Dept of Energy.
"These newly acquired exclusive licenses and patents will help support SENSE in its quest to become a serious entity in the Homeland Defense Market. We feel the core technology developed at ORNL will allow for the creation of a revolutionary product that will not only be extremely accurate, but affordable to help combat worldwide terrorism," stated Dore Perler, CEO of SENSE Holdings, Inc. The recent advancements presented to us at Oak Ridge shows that ORNL as well as the United States government, are dedicated to combating the continuing terrorist threat throughout the world.

SENSE Holdings` Offers Bundled Security Identification Solution for U.S. Military And Armed Forces
SENSE Holdings Offers ISO-TRACK(TM) Electronic Form For Sale In Bundled Solution
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug 22, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- SENSE Holdings, Inc. (SENSE)(OTC Bulletin Board: SEHO), a leading provider of biometrically secured identification systems and Homeland Security solutions, announced that the company has added additional security features and created a turnkey solution for the U.S. Military to purchase in bundled form. Sense Holdings has combined a Biometric Fingerprint reader, Signature recognition pad, USB Digital Camera, and Sense Holdings custom ISOPREP software and is offering the "ISO-TRACK(TM)" SYSTEM for Sale.
SENSE Holdings has been contracted by the U.S. Army to create the form, which is required for each enlisted personnel and details the background, fingerprints, and history of the individual. The current procedure is to complete the form by hand.
The SENSE Holdings ISOPREP 1833 software captures and validates all required data for the form. In addition, utilizing state-of-the-art fingerprint imaging devices, digital photography, and signature analysis pads, provides precise electronic captures made of vital information. The creation of the system will allow for faster processing and extremely reliable trustworthy information.
The ISO-TRACK(TM) Form Filler application can be used to complete any manual form electronically. Utilizing a script type language, the Form Filler application can take any paper form and create that form electronically. Using field validation, look up tables, drop down boxes, and intelli-sense look ahead, filling out paper forms has never been easier.
Sense has added both the DOD ISOPREP 1833/84 and CENTCOM Civilian forms to the Form Filler application. Utilizing the foundation of the Form Filler application as changes are made to the ISOPREP and CENTCOM forms, these changes can be reflected in the software in real time. This allows for the deployed sites to utilize the new changes quickly and without having to purchase new software.
"Sense Holdings proprietary ISO-TRACK(TM) solution will assist all branches of the US MILITARY to help organize the paper trail and secure and authenticate the identity of its personnel," stated Dore Perler, CEO of SENSE Holdings, Inc.
SENSE Holdings plans to market this proprietary secure authentication solution to other U.S. government agencies throughout the United States and abroad.

Hi @All News
On September 19, 2005 Sense Holdings, Inc. entered into a letter of engagement with Trilogy Capital Partners, Inc. under which Trilogy Capital Partners will develop and implement a marketing program for Sense Holdings designed to increase investor awareness in the company and generate long-term shareholder support. In connection with these investor relations efforts, Sense Holdings has committed to funding a financial marketing budget with at least $200,000, to be used for certain projected third party marketing costs. The agreement is for an initial term of 12 months, and may be terminated by either party during that period in the event of a material breach or default which is not cured within 30 days after written notice of such breach or default. The agreement also contains a non-disclosure agreement protecting each party`s confidential information from disclosure by the other party, except to the extent necessary to perform its obligations under the agreement.
As compensation for its services, Sense Holdings will pay Trilogy Capital Partners a monthly fee of $12,500 and has issued Trilogy Capital Partners a three year common stock purchase warrant to purchase an aggregate of 3,500,000 shares of common stock at an exercise price of $0.19 per share. The warrant vests as follows:
o the right to purchase 2,500,000 shares vests immediately, and
o the right to purchase the remaining 1,000,000 shares vests on the earlier of the date Sense Holdings receives at least $500,000 from the sale of debt or equity securities or February 28, 2006.
As an alternative to paying the exercise price of the warrant in cash, beginning one year from the date of issuance the warrant may be exercised using a "cashless exercise" feature which means that the holder, rather than paying the exercise price in cash, may elect to exchange some or all of the warrants for a number of shares of Sense Holdings` common stock.
Trilogy Capital Partners is prohibited from exercising any portion of the warrant to the extent that immediately following such exercise it would beneficially own 5% of more of Sense Holdings` outstanding common stock. The warrant is not transferable without Sense Holdings` consent except to a director, officer, employee, manager or affiliate of Trilogy Capital Partners, or to a person or entity that assists it in providing the services under the agreement.
Sense Holdings has granted Trilogy Capital Partners demand and piggy back registration rights covering resale of the shares of common stock underlying the warrant, and has agreed to file with the SEC, at its expense, by November 24, 2005, a registration statement covering the resale of such shares, and to use its best efforts to cause the registration statement to become effective as promptly as practicable.

"The Defense Market Report" excerpt October 3, 2005:
"Despite prognostications that proposed cuts in the US defense budget are bad news for some companies, especially contractors manufacturing military weapons hardware, it is business as usual for some defense companies operating in information technology and other peripheral sectors.
"The US Senate Appropriations Committee`s defense subcommittee recently produced a US$440.2 billion defense spending bill for 2006. While the budget is subject to change as it goes through the approval process and is rife with the usual `pork,` it still allows plenty of room for some defense companies to proceed with ambitious expansion plans."
