Hab mir über die Woche mal wieder ein paar CDs zugelegt, die meisten schon etwas älter, aber auch neueres ist dabei. Wirklich enttäuscht war ich von Jule Neigel: Hatte vorher die Lyrics gelesen und war neugierig. Die Umsetzung so interessanter Texte in Musik hätte richtig spannend werden können. Ich finde leider keinen Bezug dazu, schade!

Dagegen geht mir gerade beim ersten Hören schon ins Ohr ne alte CD von Peter Gabriel: "US".

Kenne nix von der Scheibe, aber gerade lief das hier - und schon hab ich die Lyrícs ergooglet:

Seit Jahren habe ich ein Problem - ich kaufe & kaufe CDs und bekomme CDs geschenkt, aber habe nur noch wenig Gelegenheit, diese in Ruhe zu hören. Als ordentlicher Mensch sortiere ich die auch gleich alphabetisch ein -

und weiß nach einer Woche nicht mehr, was neu und ungehört ist. Donnerstag und Freitag hatte ich Besuch - und da hab` ich mir den Spaß gemacht, abends die Freunde die Musik auswählen zu lassen. Und zwar aus der Distanz, ohne Ansehen: "Das Regal ganz rechts, Reihe 6 von oben, die fünfte CD von links".

Ich hab die CDs dann ohne Ansehen des Covers einlegt und wir haben zusammen geraten. Ich habe schlecht abgeschnitten. Andere kannten z.B. fast alle Hits von einer Joan-Armatrading-Best-Of. Wer war Joan Armatrading?

@wangert: Katrina & The Waves habe ich `91 mal live im vorprogramm von Nils Lofgren für eine Rockpalast aufzeichnung in Köln gesehen...

...nachdem sie ursprünglich aus der EBM / Elektropop ecke kommen, haben die skandinavier Apoptygma Berzerk ein wirklich überraschendes neues album „You And Me Against The World“ veröffentlicht – mit der hinzunahme von fetzigen gitarren rockt das gut ab und dazu gesellen sich ohrwurmhooks, die ein wenig an die entwicklung ihrer norwegischen landsleute von A-ha erinnern lassen...

Da habe ich dieser Tage in der Zeitung gelesen, dass man den Highway 10, der teilweise an der amerikanischen Golfküste entlang und auch durch New Orleans führt, schon als Highway To Hell bezeichnet hat.
