      Hi Leute,

First of thanks for tracking my posts and asking my opinion.

I am not a Street guru (otherwise I would not probably spend my time on Yahoo! board), but I have developed a pretty good understanding in terms of logic of ASIA`s pattern. Of course there is no logic in spaculative market tradings, yet any game has it`s fundamentals.

      So that`s what I think:

      1. I would not trust the rumour. If it would be a true ASIA`s volume would be 10 mln shares by now not 1.5 mln (which is not that big for ASIA). Also price would jump above $ 9.00 at least. It was around $ 9.6 just two-three weeks ago before the Qtr. Release.

      2. Markets are down. Smart money is looking for an opportunities - visually ASIA is the most undervalued of Chinese stocks of the high-tech/telecom industries.

      3. Something might be going on. Stocks don`t jump 10% up on high volume in 10 min. Might be some good contract release, or maybe some nice purchase by exec. officer?

Usually all those rumoures and conspiracies tend to have strong logical explanation including outside factors.

Find this logic and trust your insticts.
Screw rumours. ASIA will go to $ 12 - $ 15 level sooner or later. And I doubt NTES has something to do with it. It`s a logical process based on market (Chinese market!) fundamentals.

      ASIAINFO (Nachrichten) (ASIA) : Kursstand: 5,80$ (+17,89%)

Wochenchart (log) seit November 2001 (1 Kerze = 1 Woche)

Established in 1968, Midea Group is one of China`s leading home appliance manufacturers with total assets of US$1.3 billion and total sales of US$2.1 billion in 2003.

Midea Group`s decision to implement AsiaInfo`s e-HR solution comes in response to rapidly evolving market conditions, increasing recruitment demands and the need for more precise and timely communications among its 35,000 employees. The new system will play a significant role in enhancing Midea Group`s information management system by improving the efficiency and function of its HR management process including recruitment, compensation, benefit administration, performance appraisal, training and competence management.

The company noted that this contract will showcase how AsiaInfo`s e-HR solution benefits companies in the manufacturing industry. AsiaInfo`s e-HR solution is a comprehensive information management system designed to support the efficient human resource and organization management of small, medium, and large sized corporations.

Key to the successful design and execution of AsiaInfo`s e-HR solution was the company`s cooperation with Watson Wyatt, a leading human capital consulting firm with 20 years of HR consulting experience in China and 61 offices across the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Selected by Midea Group to conduct HR management consulting, Watson Wyatt worked together with AsiaInfo to offer Midea Group a more customized and powerful solution.

As recently announced, AsiaInfo`s enterprise information solutions (EIS) business unit has been combined with Lenovo`s non-telecom related IT services business, which was acquired by AsiaInfo, to form a new division, Lenovo-AsiaInfo Technology Limited. Accordingly, the company`s existing e-HR and business intelligence (BI) software solutions will now be offered through Lenovo-AsiaInfo.

People cannot read through the news. People are lazy, they don`t analyze and don`t hear an obvious. Here are just a few major fundamentals, based on their last night report.

      A. AsiaInfo has bit their own prediction by 3 mln.

      B. They forecast 32-37% highir revenues in 2005 (above $ 90 mln) and given their conservatism it might be a $ 100 mln as well...

      C. Lenovo is a good acquisition with fancy brand name.

D.They diversify their business from pure telecom to software field. T

      E. They are very well situated in the biggest world market with plenty of cash...

That`s why this company deserves to be priced in double -digit numbers in terms of PPS. JMO.

Intel Capital China fund says invests in three firms
      Mon Aug 15, 2005 01:34 AM ET

HONG KONG, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Top global chipmaker Intel Corp. (INTC.O: Quote, Profile, Research) , which in June set up a $200 million venture capital fund targeting Chinese technology firms, on Monday unveiled the fund`s first three investments.
China is the world`s second largest personal computer market and is a key growth driver for Intel, the world`s dominant maker of microprocessors that power PCs.

Intel Capital, which is keen to spur growth of the overall chip market, said it bought stakes in chip designer Chipsbrand Microelectronics; Onewave Technologies Inc., which develops multimedia network infrastructure; and VeriSilicon Holdings Co. Ltd., a chip design foundry.

The size of the investments was not disclosed, but Duane Kuang, director of Intel Capital China, said the firm`s venture investments are typically in the $3 million to $5 million range.

Kuang said the Intel Capital China Technology Fund is scouting for companies at all stages of development in the wireless, digital media, and chip design industries.

He said Intel Capital, which sifts through roughly 15 to 20 investments leads each week in China, has also seen a recent resurgence in opportunities in software and enterprise solutions.

"We certainly see very large market opportunities in China in the market segments we are interested in," Kuang told a media briefing.

Intel Capital made its first China investment in 1998, and has invested in roughly 50 firms in the country.

Recent China investments include a stake in cellphone design firm China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Ltd. (CNTF.O: Quote, Profile, Research) , which listed on Nasdaq in May in $140 million IPO.

It also bought pre-IPO stakes in Nasdaq-listed UTStarcom Inc. (UTSI.O: Quote, Profile, Research) , AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. (ASIA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) and Sohu.com (SOHU.O: Quote, Profile, Research) .

Globally, Intel Capital has invested more than $4 billion in some 1,000 companies. The China fund is Intel Capital`s first targeting a specific country.
