      Nein es geht um die ganz konkrete Lage und nicht darum dass ein Markt meistens belastet wird was gar nicht der Fall istLOL....einfach um die Kenntnisnahme;)!.....das Rekordquartal in terms of iPhone 6 Verkäufe wurde unter anderem auch sehr schön an der Bewegung auf dem secondary market hochgerechnet..der Preis für iPhones 4S fiel wesentlich stärker als der ein Jahr vorher für iPhones 4 in der Holiday season. So stark wie bisher überhaupt noch nicht vorher. Das lässt den Rückschluss zu auf hohes upgraden auf die 6er iPhones....die alten 4s wurden in den Markt gegeben;)...des Weiteren wurde vermutet das Apple mit Absicht etwas zurückhält in der Lieferung um Reserven fürs nächste Quartal zu haben. Zuletzt kam dann die Meldung dass es in USA kaum noch Engpässe gibt....dieses Quartal wird mit Sicherheit über den Erwartungen liegen....im nächsten Quartal dürfte vor allem China sehr stark u a auch mit iPhones zu Buche schlagen;).

      After three days off, the S&P 500 opened up 11 points this morning and promptly went...straight down. I mean straight down, down 18 points in less than 20 minutes.

      That's a lot for 20 minutes; the S&P will normally swing in a 12 to 15 point range over the course of a whole trading session.

      True, we did drift back up late in the day, but the lack of buying interest is troubling.

      There are several macro issues that are weighing on the markets:

      1) Uncertainty on what the European Central Bank will be doing this week with its quantitative easing program;

      2) Continuing blowback from the Swiss National Bank decision;

      3) The Greek elections this Sunday;

      4) The turmoil in Russia/Ukraine starting to percolate again;

      5) A possible coup in Yemen;

      6) General worries on deflation.
      . . .

      Apple: Mit iPhone 6 zum größten Quartal aller Zeiten?

      Klar ist: Es werden Rekordzahlen. Aber wird es auch das größte Quartal der Wirtschaftsgeschichte? Am Ende hängt fast alles an einer einfachen Frage: Wie viele iPhones konnte Apple absetzen?

      Gelingt Apple ein Durchbruch durch die 70 Millionen-Marke, wäre nicht nur der psychologische Effekt enorm – auch eine andere, noch bedeutendere Bestmarke könnte gleich mitpulverisiert werden. Nachdem Apple im vergangenen November als erstes Unternehmen der Welt die Bewertungsgrenze von 700 Milliarden Dollar durchbrochen hat, könnte nun eine weitere Bestmarke folgen – nämlich der größte jemals in einem Quartal erzielte Gewinn in der Wirtschaftsgeschichte.

      Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to give March-quarter guidance below the consensus estimate of analysts despite the expected launch of the Apple Watch, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty said Tuesday.

      Apple is widely expected to report strong December-quarter results thanks to its iPhone 6 smartphone lineup, so attention is shifting to the current quarter, she said in a research note.

      Apple is scheduled to report fiscal first-quarter earnings after the market close on Jan. 27. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect Apple to earn $2.59 a share, up 25% from the year-earlier quarter, on sales of $67.32 billion, up 17%.

      For the current quarter, analysts are modeling earnings per share of $2, up 20%, on sales of $53.71 billion, up 18%.

      March-quarter guidance "may be slightly below consensus revenue estimates, especially with a large (foreign exchange) headwind, but this is in line with recent guidance trends," Huberty said.

      Apple has guided below consensus in six of the past eight quarters by an average of 6% at the midpoint of the guidance range, Huberty said.

      The Apple Watch launch and profit margin upside are the next catalysts for the stock, Huberty said. She rates Apple stock as overweight with a price target of 126.

      Apple stock was up 2.2%, above 108, in afternoon trading on the stock market today.

      The Apple Watch debut and foreign currency exchange rates create some uncertainty for the March quarter, she said. Apple management historically embeds conservative assumptions in their guidance for new products.

      "Key debates in 2015 center around sustainability of iPhone demand, potential impact of Watch, and margin expansion," Huberty said.

      Besides the Apple Watch smartwatch, another new product rumored on the near-term horizon is a big-screen iPad for enterprise and education markets.

      KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will launch in the second quarter and will have an optional stylus like Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT) Surface tablets, according to AppleInsider.

      Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was against the use of a stylus, arguing that the finger is a better pointing tool. "As soon as you have a stylus, you're dead," Jobs told his biographer Walter Isaacson, as Business Insider reported.

      How many iPads did Apple sell last quarter?

      Analysts’ estimates range from 16.3 million to 25 million, down from 26 million last year

      The average estimate, 21.5 million, represents a drop of 17.4% from last year’s 26 million — the worst year-over-year falloff in four quarters.
