Nach dem Durchsickern des Erscheinungstermins der watch wohl im März ist sie einstweilen ziemlich im Fokus. Zahlen für die watch spielen frühstens im Juni-Quartal eine wirkliche Rolle. Das Weihnachtsquartal und das März-Quartal sind vor allem I-Phone 6 und 6Plus Quartale. Auch China sollte bezüglich der iPhones stark ins März-Quartal einspielen....es gibt natürlich noch weitere Innovationen bei Apple bis Juni so im Bereich Service etwa....dass das feeling für die watch im moderaten Bereich bleibt wäre schon sehr wichtig auch jetzt schon Richtung Juni..die Stimmung hat sich watch-mäßig wieder etwas beruhigt denke ich, denn eine Skepsis war schon auch deutlich zu spüren.

Even after having a super holiday season sales, shares of Apple Inc. AAPL 2.31% have witnessed significant declines. However, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White thinks that the going will be great for Apple in 2015, especially after the Apple Watch release.

White was on CNBC to discuss the outlook for Apple this year and the sales of the Apple Watch.

"I think it's still very early in this product cycle," White said. "So, we have called this a super cycle. We started off with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that got them into the phablet market and we haven’t released the Apple Watch yet and so, every four to five years you get a new product category and that’s very exciting. That's good for the shares, that's good for the income statement and I think we are just getting started with that. So, anytime we get a pullback like this, we want to be buyers of Apple shares."

How Big Could The Watch Be?

"A lot of times at first there is shortages of Apple products. I think it will be more important from a sentiment standpoint to get a new product out there, category, to get people excited about something new at Apple and I expect the marketing campaign to be massive. So, we have said, we think this can be the biggest product in Apple in history in the first year. iPad sold 19.5 million units in the first year. We think Apple Watch will surpass that," White replied.

When asked if Apple is willing to sell more than 20 million watches in 2015 even if there is demand for it, "I think they want to. I think, at first they may not have all the volume they want, but I do think as the year progresses there will be enough volume to hit that target."

Shares of Apple closed Wednesday at $107.75; shares were up more than 1 percent in Thursday's premarket.

bin mal gespannt, wo der USD hingeht. Dieser Aspekt ist für die mittelfristige Ausrichtung einer Investition in Apple mittlerweile höchst relevant. Geht es nach Pari verhilft es Anlegern aus dem Euroraum immerhin noch zu einer Zusatzrendite von über 15%. Dieses Szenario erscheint mir durchaus plausibel. Ob das mit einem zyklischen Zwischenhoch von Apple einhergeht ist dann wieder ein anderes Thema.

Ich bemerke den Aufstieg des Greenback auf jeden Fall bei Gold und Apple.

Two Scenarios for the Smart Watch Market ★

Interesting analysis from Creative Strategies’s Ben Bajarin, speculating that the smart watch market will likely break in one of two ways:

Like MP3 players, where Apple dominates in market share.
Like the phone market, where Apple owns the profitable high end of the market, but with a 20-or-so percent share of the total market.
Here’s the thing I keep thinking about. Watches and wearables are like Apple Pay, insofar as no third-party solution can compete with Apple for iPhone users. Apple Pay feels like magic because it’s built into iOS, with links to the NFC and Touch ID hardware. Third-party payment solutions can be (and have been) built apps for iOS, but no mere app can offer the experience Apple Pay does.

It’s the same with wearables. Apple Watch will have integration with the iPhone at the system level, not the app level. Other smart watches may succeed, but I doubt they will succeed with iPhone users. If you’re an iPhone user, and you want a wearable, you will buy an Apple Watch.

Conversely, I don’t think Apple Watch will ever have any appeal to non-iPhone users. This first year, Apple is explicit about it — you need an iPhone to use Apple Watch. So the question as to whether the overall smart watch market winds up looking more like MP3 players or phones comes down to how many non-iPhone users will buy any smart watch at all.

(The third possibility I see: smart watches, Apple Watch included, never really become a big deal.)

UPDATE: So is this an anti-trust risk for Apple? I think no, thanks to the advantage of not having even close to a majority market share in phones.

....und wenn die Watch ebenfalls das Vorhandensein eines iPhones voraussetzt ist das eher suboptimal !
m.E. wird Apple intelligenter vorgehen ....

Alleine hieran kann man schon erkennen wie du an die GearS rangegangen bistLOL....und nun lassen wir das auch bitte....das Diskussionsniveau erscheint mir schon an dieser Stelle definitiv suboptimal...OK?
