Die Kalibranche bleibt spannend
18. April 2012

Alberta potash discoveries
Junior miners Pacific Potash Corp. (TSXV:PP) and Grizzly Discoveries Inc. (TSXV:GZD) have made discoveries along the eastern border of Alberta, Canada which show some evidence of substantial potash deposits within the province.
Pacific Potash announced last week that it is “the first company ever to drill for and discover potash” within Alberta. The find was made at its 100 percent owned Provost Potash Property, located on the Saskatchewan-Alberta border near Provost, Alberta.
The findings are the result of the company’s 2011 drilling program that commenced in November. Drill hole PPC-37, one of the two prominent holes, produced weighted average grades of 11.85 percent K2O (18.76 percent KCl) over 10.01 feet (3.05 m) within the Upper Zone at a depth of 4,353.67 feet (1327.25 m), as well as 21.25 percent K2O (33.64 percent KCl) over 1.31 feet (0.40 m) in the Lower Zone starting at a depth of 4,401.57 feet (1,341.80 m).

Alberta’s Potash Potential
Original Air Date: Thursday, May 03, 2012
Potash is a key ingredient in fertilizer. It helps fuel Saskatchewan’s economy with hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes and royalties.
Now, junior mining companies are exploring for the mineral resource here in Alberta and say their findings hold a lot of promise.
What have they discovered about the potential of potash in our province? Is big business ready to provide the necessary investment? While potash grows crops, could it help grow our economy?
Joining us for this discussion is Jody Dahrouge, President of Dahrouge Geological Consulting. He is also Director and Senior VP of Exploration for Pacific Potash Corporation. Roy Eccles is a Consultant with APEX Geoscience, a company working on potash projects for Grizzly Discoveries. Richard Dixon is Executive Director of the Centre for Applied Business Research in Energy and the Environment at the Alberta School of Business.

"Pacific Potash said in a statement, it wants to build a mine in the region as soon as possible."
Alles klar!

Was uns wirklich
Milliarden Dollar an logistischen Kostenvorteilen

Pacific Potash Receives Environmental Permits +Mobilizes Drill Rig To Amazonas Potash Project - Oct 21, 2013
www.pacificpotash.com/singlenews/news73.html
"VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – October 21st, 2013 - Pacific Potash Corporation (TSX-V: PP; OTCQX: PPOTF; FSE: P9P, “Pacific Potash”, “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has obtained all environmental permits for drilling in addition to securing and mobilizing a drill rig to its Amazonas Potash Project. The Company has finalized its work program, including processing and analyzing seven additional historic seismic lines which overlay the initial drill targets. Pacific Potash expects to begin drilling within the next 7 days. The initial well drilled by Pacific Potash will be the first potash well ever to be drilled in the central part of the Amazonas Basin, as previous exploration efforts for potash have been directed towards the margins of the basin. Mr. Andre Costa, President and CEO stated “This is a very significant milestone for Pacific Potash, as the path is now clear for us to execute the drilling of our initial well of the exploration program." It is expected that once drilling commences it will take approximately 60 days to reach depth and remove core from the formation of interest, the well will top out at approximately 1500 meters of true depth. The cores will be sent to Saskatchewan, Canada for chemical analysis and processing.

Pacific Potash Signs MOU for Cdn $10.000.000 With Chinese S.O.E Convertible, @$0.37 /Share - Oct 29, 2013
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/pacific-potash-signs-mou-cdn-1…
"ancouver, British Columbia - October 29th, 2013 - Pacific Potash Corporation (TSX-V: PP; OTCQX: PPOTF; FSE: P9P, "Pacific Potash", "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) with a Chinese State Owned Enterprise ("S.O.E"). The M.O.U outlines the proposed terms of a transaction pursuant to which the S.O.E will subscribe for CDN $10,000,000 by way of an unsecured convertible debenture of common shares (the "Convertible Debenture") from Pacific Potash Corporation convertible at a price of $0.37 per common share. The S.O.E's aggregate beneficial ownership of common shares will not exceed 19.9% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Pacific Potash at the time of exercise of these conversion rights. The Convertible Debenture shall bear interest at the rate of 5.0% per annum, payable semi-annually and shall mature on the date which is two (2) years from the date of issuance.
Upon completion of this financing Pacific Potash will have raised a total of CDN $16.35 Million year to date to drive the Company's business plan. The proceeds from the Convertible Debenture will be used for development of Pacific Potash's Amazonas Basin Potash exploration program, consisting primarily of drilling, and for general working capital.
Mr. Balbir Johal, Executive Co-Chairman and Director stated "This strategic alliance and relationship with the S.O.E was facilitated by the hard work of our strategic advisor, CapitalAsia. Upon receiving the funding, we will now be able to complete an extensive fully permitted drill program, consisting of six exploration holes with each reaching a true depth of at least 1500 metres costing approximately CDN $12 million dollars. Drilling commences this coming week under the command of our CEO and Chief Geologist, Andre Costa, whose work over the last six years in the Amazonas Potash Basin has led to several new discoveries of economic potash. "
Terms of the Convertible Debenture
On successful completion of due diligence phase the parties will diligently and in good faith thereafter negotiate, a definitive subscription agreement for the Convertible Debenture.
This agreement is subject to the regulatory approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
Cancellation of Merger with Cowley Mining PLC
In respect to Cowley's October 25, 2013 news release cancelling the proposed merger, the Company confirms that the proposed merger has been cancelled as the parties were unable to agree on the terms of the definitive agreement.
Mr. Balbir Johal, states, "Although we felt that the Cowley transaction was attractive, management believes that this new partnership with the S.O.E creates superior leverage for our shareholders due to size and the less dilutive nature of the funding. We are fully funded now for a potential discovery in a world-class basin."

Pacific Potash Initiates Drilling on its 100% Owned Amazonas Basin Potash Property
(via Thenewswire.ca)
Vancouver, British Columbia - November 15th, 2013 - Pacific Potash Corporation (TSX-V: PP; OTCQX: PPOTF; FSE: P9P, "Pacific Potash", "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has commenced drilling its Amazonas Basin Potash Property. Mobilization, set-up and the initial pre-collar and casing of the well have been completed and normal drilling operation is currently underway. The depth of the well is currently 456m and it is being cased and cemented to complete the first stage of drilling operation. The second stage of drilling will involve the commencement of coring which comprises rocks from the Andira and Nova Olinda formations. The Nova Olinda Formation is the target horizon for potash exploration in this basin. All significant potash intercepts have been located within Cycle VII of this formation. The Cycle VII potash mineralization occurs in numerous drill holes in the Middle Amazon basin, including those that define the Fazendinha and Arari potash occurrences.
"Drilling to date has been extremely smooth, logistics have been on time and on budget." Mr. Balbir Johal, Executive Co-Chairman and Director reports, "Being fully funded for several wells, we anticipate many exciting months of exploration in anticipation of a new potash discovery in this world class basin."
On Monday Nov. 11, 2013 a new potash discovery was announced directly across the river from Pacific Potash's claims near the city of Itacoatiara by Brazil Potash Corp. Itacoatiara is the site of Pacific Potash's field office and is located directly across the Amazon River from Pacific Potash's claims. The first well site is a short 40-minute boat ride from the city. The discovery is another piece of evidence that proves the multiple deposit hypothesis of this basin.
Itacoatiara hosts a Panamax capacity port with a floating unit linked to the shore by a bridged conveyor. The port has five berths for barges and three warehouses. The port has a grain terminal (Hermasa) that made the Export Northwest Corridor feasible where the production of the Northwest regions of Mato Grosso and Southwest of Rondonia is drained. It mainly exports soybeans, soybean oil and bran. Itacoatiara is also accessible by paved Amazonas State highway (AM010) 265 km east from Manaus, the capital city of the state.
This is Pacific Potash's first well of a planned multi-well drill program on the Amazonas Potash Project aimed at making a new potash discovery. The well is expected to take approximately 60 days from the start of drilling and will be drilled to a true depth of 1400m. The target formation, Nova Olinda Cycle VII is anticipated to occur at a depth of approximately 1300m. Gamma-ray and Caliper downhole geophysics will be run in the well to identify the mineralized zone and to better correlate the stratigraphy in the area.

Pacific Potash risks mining rights in Brazil, over $2,100,000 tax debt
www.mining.com/pacific-potash-risks-mining-rights-in-brazil-…
"Canadian Pacific Potash Corporation (TSX-V:PP) may be facing an imminent cancellation of its mining rights in Brazil as the junior miner has not paid about US$2.1 million (R$6.86m Brazilian Real) to the country’s National Department of Mineral Production (DNPM).
According to Noticias de Mineracao (in Portuguese), this is not the first time the company’s rights for its Amazonas project in Brazil, one of the largest consumers of the fertilizer ingredient, have been at risk of being revoked. The same happened in December and the company responded at the time it had wired the due funds, but that its Brazilian office had not received them for “unknown reasons.”
No one at Pacific Potash was available to confirm or deny today’s report when this article was being written.
Brazil is a key market for the potash sector as the country imports the vast majority of the fertilizers it needs. This creates a significant opportunity for domestic producers with lower transport costs, such as Pacific Potash.
While the country has 30% of the world’s arable land, the soil in Brazil is naturally potassium deficient, and all the major crops it grows require substantial amounts of potash.
The nation is attempting to reduce imported potash dependency from 93% to 60% over the next five years, with the government streamlining processes for exploration and development of target areas. "
