Mr. François Pauly has announced his resignation from the Board of Directors of
Elcoteq SE with an immediate effect. Mr. Pauly was elected to the Company´s
Board for the first time at the Annual General Meeting held on March 25, 2008.
Mr. Pauly resigns from the Board of the Company at his own request to avoid any
conflicts of interest due to his recent appointment as the Managing Director of
Dexia BIL and to allocate his time effectively to this new appointment.
