MAGIX AG publishes annual report 2010/2011 and detailed figures for
first quarter 2011/2012

Berlin, January 31, 2012 - Today, the Management Board of MAGIX AG (ISIN DE
0007220782) hosted an in-depth online presentation regarding the audited
figures for 2010/2011 as well as the preliminary, unaudited figures for the
first quarter of the current financial year. At the same time, the annual
report 2010/2011 was released.
After a successful financial year 2010/2011, the company is off to a weaker
start into the 2011/2012 financial year than expected. In 2010/2011, MAGIX
had generated Group revenues of EUR 36.1 million, thus achieving EBIT of
EUR 5.3 million. As already announced by the company last Wednesday,
January 25, 2012, the group revenues and EBIT had declined in the first
quarter of 2011/2012 compared to the previous financial year.
As a reaction to this development, in the first quarter substantial
cost-reduction measures already were implemented that will continue to be
effective during the subsequent quarters without restricting the pursued
entry into the market for PC system tools as well as expansion of the B2B
business. The Management Board envisions exceptional growth here. In order
to be positioned to generate substantial earnings growth in 2012/2013 and
beyond, according to the Management Board a drop in earnings cannot be
ruled out in the current financial year.

presentation, in which Jürgen Jaron, the Executive Board Chairman of MAGIX
AG, discusses the key statements of the annual report and presents the
preliminary, unaudited figures of the first quarter of the current,
2011/2012 fiscal year. The company will publish its three-month report on
February 29, 2012.
