On 8-9th February, 2012, a delegation of NIAEP - ASE merged company visits
Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
It is planned to hold a number of working meetings during the visit to
Hanoi.
On 8th February Valery Limarenko, director of JSC NIAEP and acting
president of JSC ASE, will meet the top manager of Vietnam electric power
corporation EVN and will confirm that the merged company is ready to
fulfill the obligations undertaken by JSC ASE as the general contractor in
NPP construction project (in conformity with the intergovernmental
agreement dated 31.10.2010). It is planned to hand over the draft joint
operating plan for pre-contract stage to EVN for review and approval.
On the same day there will be meetings with management of Vietnam Energy
Institute and Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute - customer of Center for
nuclear science and technology (CNST), where JSC ASE is also general
contractor (in conformity with the intergovernmental agreement dated
21.11.2011).
Then the NIAEP - ASE delegation will meet management of engineering
companies PECC1 and PECC2 and will visit their production facilities.
- During the first day of our visit we plan to define the main works in NPP
and CNST construction projects where Vietnamese companies could also
collaborate as subcontractors, - says Valery Limarenko, - We think
localization (involvement of local suppliers, manufacturers and
construction companies) is very important.
On 9th February there will be meetings with representatives of Viet Nam
construction complex and representatives of the SRV government - management
of Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Science and Technology.
Representatives of the SRV government will be informed on plans of the
Russia party concerning involvement of Vietnamese companies in
subcontracting for NPP and CNST construction.
For your information, on 25th November 2009 National Assembly of Socialist
Republic of Vietnam adopted the resolution on construction of two nuclear
plants in Ninh thuan. According to the resolution construction of Ninh
thuan-1 will begin in 2014. Ninh thuan-1 is to be commissioned in 2020
according to the schedule.

At the end of 2011, two competencies: JSC NIAEP and JSC Atomstroyexport
were merged. The both companies are working on 20 projects being
implemented simultaneously in Russia and abroad.
The company is using advanced software products for nuclear power plant
engineering. Since 2002 a 3-D model has been applied in NPP engineering.
A quality management system was introduced in the company complying with
the requirements of the international standards. It was successfully
certified in the TUV SUD international center.
