Check Point ZoneAlarm 2015 Introduces Revolutionary Protections for Undiscovered Threats

(NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced the launch of its new ZoneAlarm 2015 security product line, redesigned to thwart a new generation of cyber thieves and advanced Web-based malware.

The online world is filled with new attacks targeting consumers and their private data. While ZoneAlarm continues to tackle threats with its industry-leading two-way Firewall and antivirus technologies, ZoneAlarm 2015 has new features to protect consumers. For the first time, advanced sandboxing technology is being offered for consumers through the Threat Emulation feature. Undiscovered threats are often hidden in email attachments and downloads; in fact, nearly one in 25 email attachments are malicious¹. Threat Emulation checks attachment files in a virtual cloud sandbox, and if a file is malicious, the user is alerted to delete it. The new 2015 product line also includes Enhanced Browser Protection, which scans websites for threats before malware can even reach a users' browser.

Recent independent tests through AV-TEST showed that ZoneAlarm 2015 Extreme Security protected against 100% of threats in real-world testing. Previously tested competitive products protected against an average of 94% of threats.²

In addition to defending against online threats, ZoneAlarm 2015 also protects against the physical threats to consumer devices through the new Find My Laptop feature. A laptop is stolen every 53 seconds³ -- with Find My Laptop, users will be able to track down their lost or stolen laptops utilizing maps and tracking technologies. The feature can also retrieve files, lock down access, send a message to the thief or finder, and even take photos from the webcam.
