Toronto, Ontario - April 17, 2014 - Vida Cannabis Corp. ("Vida Cannabis") is pleased to announce that Quantum 9 Inc. has been retained to provide consulting, technology and implementation services. Quantum 9 (www.quantum9.net) is North America's pre-eminent authority on cannabis cultivation consulting and technology services, with extensive experience in working with Health Canada's Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations ("MMPR").

The Quantum 9 team is comprised of experts in the critical areas of security, quality assurance, the producer licensing process, facility design and maximizing production yields. They are a proven 'blueprint-to-harvest' service provider to several large-scale medical and recreational marijuana companies in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Vida Cannabis CEO Greg Wilson stated: "I look forward to working with Michael Mayes and the Quantum 9 team on finalizing our MMPR application, and in designing a state-of-the-art production facility that will be nearly twice the size of any currently licensed producer in Canada. Quantum 9's experience in assisting with the administrative process of licensure applications will be extremely valuable in completing this integral step. Our retainer of Quantum 9 is yet another example of Vida's forward-looking, high quality stewardship, which shareholders should continue to expect from the Company."

Quantum 9 has been on location in Stellarton and personnel are in the process of finalizing the security and facility design to optimize the build-out of Vida's 315,000-square-foot facility, including an initial production area of approximately 30,000 square feet, with a roadmap for expansion driven by market demand.

Michael Mayes, CEO of Quantum 9, stated: "We are very excited about our partnership with Vida Cannabis. Their executive staff rivals that of the best we have seen in the industry and we are excited to bring our expert experience to ensure a best-in-class operation."

CEO Greg Wilson continued: "We are well underway with our application, and expect to submit it to Health Canada in the next four weeks. In addition, I met with our security consultant, Derek Ogden, a senior executive with 27 years service with the RCMP, on-site this week to finalize the minimum level-9 security plan and start work on its implementation. Security is a top priority for Vida, and it is our intention to build our facility to standards that exceed the requirements set out by Health Canada. In some areas of security design we will be implementing level 10 and 11 measures."
