HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 11, 2014) - Ucore Rare Metals Inc (TSX VENTURE:UCU)(OTCQX:UURAF) ("Ucore" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the paper 'The Early Jurassic Bokan Mountain granite complex (southeastern Alaska): Geochemistry, petrogenesis and rare-metal mineralization' has been published by Elsevier in the journal Lithos (the "Paper"). 'Elsevier' is a world leading provider of academic information and 'Lithos' is the leading international English language journal publishing original research papers on mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry.

The Paper was authored by a three person team including Dr. Jaroslav Dostal, Department of Geology, Saint Mary's University, Halifax and a member of Ucore's Board of Directors; Dr. Daniel Kontak, Department of Earth Sciences, Laurentian University, Sudbury; and Dr. Susan Karl, U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Centre, Anchorage.
