    SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2014) -   VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) announced today at VMworld® an expanded relationship with SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) to help simplify mobile app delivery for end users through the integration of mobile place from the SAP Mobile Secure portfolio with AirWatch® by VMware solutions. As the first partner to start to integrate its solution with mobile place, the mobile app management solution from the SAP Mobile Secure portfolio, VMware will enable customers to leverage the AirWatch by VMware platform with SAP mobile apps built using SAP Mobile Platform.

    Organizations continue to shift from simple email configuration on mobile devices to robust application and content delivery to improve end-user effectiveness in the mobile-cloud era. Businesses are building, distributing, managing and analyzing mobile applications to help redefine business processes and end-user workflows. VMware will work with SAP in an effort to create standard services to distribute applications through the SAP Mobile Secure portfolio and AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management™ (EMM) platform. The collaboration is expected to provide a more enhanced experience of applications used for work across corporate-owned, line-of-business and bring your own device (BYOD) scenarios.

    • Users to access mobile place, the SAP Mobile Secure solution to find an application of interest and install the application on AirWatch managed devices without the need to contact IT.
