Watch Erik Melander explain in an e-commerce case study video how Shipwire has helped Supr Good Co. become a worldwide success.

"Australia is one of the most important and fastest-growing e-commerce markets in the world. Our customers need to cut shipping costs to their Australian buyers, and deliver their product quickly," said Damon Schechter, vice-president Ingram Micro, president Shipwire. "Our new Sydney warehouse gives brands an amazing opportunity to serve their Australian buyers with low-cost shipping and fast delivery."

The Shipwire Sydney warehouse is ideally located in the Eastern Creek region of the Eastern seaboard of Australia, and will benefit both Australian brands seeking a state-of-the-art facility for distribution of their products domestically, and international brands seeking to expand into the Australian consumer market.

The new warehouse also brings the benefits of the Shipwire platform's global fulfillment capabilities to Australia, where it will help global brands that are ready to sell to the Australian consumer. Australian market growth will outpace most other countries, contributing to the expected $1.5 trillion growth of the global e-commerce market according to eMarketer.

As consumer spending on U.S. exports has increased by 542% between 2002-2010, the Asia-Pacific has overtaken North America to become the world's largest e-commerce market, according to eMarketer's 2014 forecasts.

The new warehouse is a 430,000 sq. ft. (40,000 sq. m) facility -- twice the size of the Melbourne Cricket Ground and is the largest fulfillment warehouse in Australia. It includes 34 docks, and has capacity for more than 30,000 pallets, with three levels of storage with two three-storey picking models in operation. The large capacity will provide storage for goods destined to buyers in Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere in Asia-Pacific, and will help decrease shipping time and cost throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
