SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Adjusts Full-Year Forecast for 2014

Kahl am Main, September 182014 - SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES (SINGULUS) had made
its forecast for the business year 2014 based on the respective
developments of the key financial figures within the three segments Optical
Disc, Semiconductor and Solar.

For the Optical Disc segment in its annual budget for 2014 the Executive
Board had already projected lower sales and earnings (EBIT) than in the
business year 2013. Following talks with key Optical Disc customers
SINGULUS now has to concede that the current year will fall short of
expectations since no larger investments for Blu-ray Disc production
machines are planned for 2014. This has an adverse impact on the course of
business for SINGULUS in the 2nd half of 2014. In addition, order intake in
the Solar division is delayed. Accordingly, the Executive Board expects the
losses incurred in the first half of the business year 2014 to expand
further. Due to the business situation a restructuring program will be
resolved for the company, which will include significant cost reductions.
