BayWa AG, Munich, Germany, today placed a bonded loan of EUR383 million
with terms of between five and ten years. The request originally submitted
by the international trading and services company was for EUR120 million.
However, the order book was oversubscribed nearly eight times, leading
BayWa to increase the total to EUR383 million due to the price quotation at
the low end of the range. BayWa previously placed a bonded loan of EUR200
million in 2010 as well as a bonded loan of EUR220 million in 2011. BayWa
AG will use the proceeds to refinance the 2010 bonded loan ahead of
schedule and to secure short-term working capital credit lines, as in 2011.
Orders have been placed by national and international banks, as well as
institutional investors.
