Telekom Austria Group - Voluntary announcement analogous to §§ 91ff Austrian
Stock Exchange Act

Vienna, 21 October 2014: Today the Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US:
TKAGY) was informed by Schönherr Rechtsanwälte GmbH, representing América Móvil,
S.A.B. de C.V. ("América Móvil"), Sercotel, S.A. de C.V. ("Sercotel"), and Carso
Telecom B.V. ("Carso Telecom") about the following:

"On behalf of our clients we notify you, for the sake of completeness without
being legally obliged to do so, on the shareholding of América Móvil group in
Telekom Austria Aktiengesellschaft (ISIN: AT0000720008), Lassallestrasse 9, 1020
Vienna ("Telekom Austria AG" or "Issuer"), after expiration of the additional
acceptance period according to sec 19 para 3 Austrian Takeover Act ("ATA"):

Carso Telecom B.V. is a company established under Dutch Law, which is via
Sercotel controlled by América Móvil as defined in Section 92 no 4 Stock
Exchange Act ("SEA"): Sercotel is a wholly-owned subsidiary of América Móvil and
Sercotel holds 100 % of the shares in Carso Telecom.

Until date, América Móvil directly held a participation corresponding to 1.7914
% of the voting rights in the Issuer. After settlement of the tender offer by
Carso Telecom for all shares of the Issuer on 17/7/2014, América Móvil also held
an indirect participation (via Carso Telecom) corresponding to 49.0179 % of the
voting rights in the Issuer.

After additional share purchases on market made by Carso Telecom and upon
settlement of the tender offer for all shares tendered during the additional
acceptance period pursuant to sec 19 para 3 ATA, América Móvil will hold,
directly and indirectly via Carso Telecom 264,470,131 shares with voting rights
issued by Telekom Austria AG corresponding to 59.6998 % of the voting rights in
the Issuer.

125,917,735 shares with voting rights issued by Telekom Austria AG, held by
Österreichische Industrieholding AG, registered under 80286v ("ÖIAG"),
corresponding to 28.4239 % of the voting rights in the Issuer, are attributable
pursuant to sec 92 SEA and sec 20 Austrian Banking Act.

Therefore, taking into account shares held by ÖIAG, América Móvil directly and
indirectly hitherto held a total of 390,387,866 shares with voting rights issued
by Telekom Austria AG corresponding to 88.1237 % of the voting rights in the
Issuer."
