PNE WIND AG commissions the Kemberg III wind farm / The total nominal
output of projects completed in 2014 reaches approx. 116 MW
Cuxhaven - December 22, 2014 - In 2014, the PNE WIND Group constructed and
commissioned 11 wind farms in Germany and France with a total nominal
output of approx. 116 MW. The most recently completed project was the
"Kemberg III" wind farm with four wind energy systems and a total nominal
output of 9.6 MW. The wind farm has now been handed over to the buyer, the
CHORUS Group.
The Nordex N117 wind energy systems installed at the "Kemberg III" wind
farm are particularly efficient at inland locations. With hub heights
reaching 140.6 meters, the turbines are positioned well to harness the
energy out of the wind in this location. The new wind systems can produce
environmentally friendly electricity equivalent to the annual consumption
of more than 9,000 four person households and will result in an annual
carbon dioxide emission saving of approx. 19,000 tons. The amount of
lignite saved annually would fill a 40 kilometres long train.
PNE WIND AG is in the process of concluding one of its most successful
years in the German wind market and starting strong in the coming year with
the "Chransdorf" wind farm (Brandenburg) currently being under constructed.
"This project represents PNE WIND's largest individual project to date and
the 24 wind energy systems with a total nominal output of 57.6 MW are
scheduled to be commissioned in 2015", explains the Chief Operating Officer
Markus Lesser.
Martin Billhardt, Chairman of the Board of Directors (CEO) of PNE WIND AG:
"Operationally, PNE WIND is on a very good path. The realisation of wind
farms in Germany is progressing extremely well. We are also expecting
additional positive reports concerning our foreign projects in the near
future."
