“Richard and I share the same philosophy – compete aggressively, shake up the status quo and most importantly, give it everything you’ve got … every time,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile US, Inc. “With that kind of alignment, this partnership just flat-out makes sense.”

“I like T-Mobile’s style,” said Sherman. “They tell it like it is and disrupt the game. That sounds familiar.”

The partnership was born from a very recent Twitter exchange between T-Mobile CEO John Legere and Sherman. With this partnership, T-Mobile continues to break the traditional sponsorship mold by creating unique partnerships with game-changers of all types.

As part of the tie-up, T-Mobile will have the opportunity to feature Sherman in print, digital and out of home advertising and work with the league’s most outspoken player on social media campaigns.

This unique partnership starts this week, with three giant T-Mobile branded shuttle buses that will be giving die- hard football fans free rides between key locations leading up to the Big Game. The buses will be easy to spot. Just look for the larger than life picture of Richard Sherman – and hop on for your free ride, courtesy of T-Mobile. Just another way the Un-carrier is solving a pain point.

The Un-carrier is also kicking off the T-Mobile Data Stash™ Dash on social media this week. The events take place in Seattle on January 28 and Glendale on January 31. The first participants to find the secret stashes in each city – based on clues tweeted out by @Tmobile – could walk away with thousands of dollars-worth of prizes. And in Seattle, one secret stash will include two tickets to the Big Game along with airfare for two and four nights of hotel accommodations in the Phoenix area.
