KONE to equip Lanzhou's new landmark building in Gansu Province, China

KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to equip Lanzhou International Commercial Trade Center in Gansu province, Northwest China with 62 elevators. The multi-use building will bring 85,000 square meters of office and commercial space and a Hilton hotel to the city's central commercial district.

To deliver an energy-efficient system enabling a smooth and efficient flow of people in the 32-floor hotel building and 40-floor commercial tower, KONE will supply the building complex with 28 KONE MiniSpace(TM) elevators and 34 KONE MonoSpace® elevators. To further maximize people flow and reliability, KONE elevators are connected to the KONE E-Link(TM) monitoring system, and provide real-time information on the status of the equipment and statistical reports on performance.

Lanzhou International Commercial Trade Center is constructed by Lanzhou Oriental Friendship Commercial Trade Center, a joint venture of Lanzhou government and Fujian Dongbai Group Co., Ltd. The building is expected to be completed in 2016.

The order was booked in the fourth quarter of 2014.
