Wirecard to Enable Mobile Payments for Kairos Watches

• NFC payments on Kairos Hybrid Mechanical Smart Watches and Kairos T-Bands  

Today, the technology and financial services provider Wirecard AG and Kairos Watches Ltd. announced a collaboration in the field of mobile payment services for wearables. Kairos will use Wirecard`s Payment Software Development Kit for its unique offering of hybrid mechanical smart watches and T-Bands. Wirecard will therefore enable Kairos to offer contactless payment transactions and value added services on every NFC-based terminal around the world.

Wirecard announced the launch of its Software Development Kit for wearable payment solutions in February 2015.

The Kairos Hybrid Mechanical Smart Watch features a Swiss or Japanese mechanical movement with an integrated transparent OLED screen in the glass for smartwatch functions. The Kairos T-Band is a smart band device that allows the wearer to use any watch they want by integrating the smart watch components into the watchband itself.
