Horizon Pharma plc Announces That Amy Grahn Honored as a 2015 Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Luminary

DUBLIN, IRELAND--(Marketwired - May 14, 2015) - Horizon Pharma plc (NASDAQ: HZNP), a specialty biopharmaceutical company focused on improving patients' lives by identifying, developing, acquiring and commercializing differentiated and accessible medicines that address unmet medical needs, today announced that Amy Grahn, senior vice president, global clinical development, operations and pharmacovigilance, has been named a 2015 Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) Luminary. Amy will be honored today at the 26^th annual Woman of the Year event in New York.

The HBA is the leading not-for-profit global organization committed to further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide. Amy was recognized for her dedication to advancing other women's careers throughout her more than 20-year career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Amy joined Horizon Pharma in January 2009 as vice president, global clinical development and operations and was promoted to senior vice president in 2010 with additional responsibility for pharmacovigilance added in 2014. She has more than two decades of pharmaceutical industry experience spanning pre-clinical research to commercial roles, with a primary focus on clinical operations. Prior to joining Horizon Pharma, Amy served as vice president of clinical operations at MedGenesis Therapeutix Inc. in British Columbia, Canada, where she was responsible for strategic planning, development and implementation of clinical and pre-clinical development plans for therapeutic agents delivered via the MedGenesis convection-enhanced delivery (CED) platform.
