Pfeiffer Vacuum experiences positive business development in the first six
months of FY 2015

- H1/2015 sales increase of 13.3 percent

- H1/2015 EBIT 47.9 percent higher than previous year

- Order intake reaches EUR 245.0 million after six months

Asslar, August 4, 2015. Pfeiffer Vacuum generated sales of EUR 224.5
million during the first half of 2015 during which an EBIT of EUR 30.5
million and a margin of 13.6 percent was achieved. This resulted in net
income of EUR 21.2 million leading to earnings per share of EUR 2.15 for
the first six months. The order intake during the reported period amounted
to EUR 245.0 million - an increase of 25.1 percent compared to the previous
year's figure.

"The positive trend at the beginning of the year carried over to the second
quarter and even intensified somewhat ", comments Manfred Bender, CEO of
Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG. "The good development of our order intake
stems from the sustainably high demand from the analytics and semiconductor
market segments. In this context, it remains important to emphasize the
positive fact that the orders have come from a multitude of diverse
customers and have not relied on large one-off projects. We confirm our
outlook for FY 2015 with sales expected within a range of EUR 430 - 450
million and a noticeable increase in operating profit and of the EBIT
