Professor Dr.-Ing. Fuhrmann reappointed Chairman of the Executive Board

The Supervisory Board of Salzgitter AG adopted a resolution at its ordinary
meeting today to appoint Professor Dr.-Ing. Heinz Joerg Fuhrmann as
Chairman of the Executive Board for a second five-year term of office. This
will commence on July 1, 2016.

Professor Fuhrmann has held senior positions at the Salzgitter Group since
1995. He became an associate member of the Group's Executive Board in 1996
and a full member in 1997. In the years from 2001 to 2011 Professor
Fuhrmann was Chief Financial Officer and from 2007 also served as Vice
Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG in this position. He was
appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG on February 1,
2011.
