M.A.X. Automation sets the record straight: Baden-Württembergische
Versorgungsanstalt is still a shareholder

- Change in the law results in a special situation regarding voting
rights notification

Düsseldorf, January 18, 2016 - M.A.X. Automation AG, the specialist for
high-tech mechanical engineering, still has Baden-Württembergische
Versorgungsanstalt for doctors, dentists and veterinarians with its
headquarters in Tübingen as a shareholder. The investor holds a previously
reported share of 5.23% of the voting rights. At the same time, M.A.X.
Automation AG published a notification of voting rights from
Versorgungsanstalt on January 18 pursuant to Section 21 of the WpHG (German
Securities Trading Act) that shows the voting interest of
Baden-Württembergische Versorgungsanstalt to be zero.

The reason for this notification of holdings release is an amendment to the
Securities Trading Act as a result of the Transparency Directive Amending
Directive on European harmonization of investment transparency. The
amendment came into force at the end of November 2015. Pursuant to Section
1 para. 4 of the WpHG, investors in an open special investment fund will be
exempt from the reporting requirements pursuant to Section 21 et seq. WpHG
in the future.

Since Baden-Württembergische Versorgungsanstalt holds its shareholding in
M.A.X. Automation through such a "Special Alternative Investment Fund," it
is obliged to submit a notification of holdings pursuant to Section 41
paragraph 4 WpHG by January 15, 2016, and indicate that voting rights have
been reduced to zero.
