Monument Files NI43-101 Technical Report for Resource Estimate on Matala Gold Project

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - March 22, 2016) -  Monument Mining Limited (TSX VENTURE: MMY) (FRANKFURT: D7Q1) ("Monument") is pleased to announce that, further to its press release dated February 7, 2016, it has filed a technical report describing the mineral resource estimate for the Matala Gold Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo ("DRC"), where Afrimines Resources S.A.R.L ("Afrimines") through its wholly owned subsidiary, Regal Sud Kivu S.A.R.L ("Regal") holds a 100% interest in the Matala Gold Project. Under an "Earn-In and Shareholders Agreement", Monument has options to earn up to 90% joint venture interest in the Matala Gold Project.

The technical report is titled "NI 43-101 Technical Report - Matala Project - South Kivu - Democratic Republic of Congo" is dated March 7, 2016. It has been prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects and is authored by Galen White, Principal Geologist, CSA Global (UK) Ltd, the primary Qualified Person, and other independent Qualified Persons. The Company is currently in process of submitting an application to the TSX Venture Exchange for approval of the Matala transaction.
