Eurodesign Improves Warehouse Management by Implementing Infor SCE

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 25, 2016) - Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced the deployment of a warehouse management system (WMS), Infor Supply Chain Execution (SCE), at Eurodesign, a company specializing in system integration, IT consulting, development and management of IT infrastructure for large scale projects, such as first European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.

New developments for the organization have significantly increased the quantity and variety of products and components that are stored in warehouses. This change had created a need to implement a functional supply chain management (SCM) solution to ensure total control over warehouse and logistics processes. Within a short time frame (two and a half months), assisted by Infor partner LT Management, Infor SCE has been successfully deployed at one of the company's four warehouses. They also have the option to further scale up to other sites with a total area of up to 15,000 square meters.

The Infor SCE solution effectively manages Eurodesign's logistics processes, and delivers accounting transparency. Project managers are now able to access consolidated data to measure product availability by location with current information on 'left-overs' broken down by project for operational management. The system stores information about all goods and their physical locations in view of every project up to pallet, shelf and bin level of detail. It allows warehouse employees to handle goods for the appropriate project with pin-point accuracy, which reduces labor efforts and improves the quality of the work performed.

Now the company is taking part in preparation for the Formula One race that will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan during the summer 2016. Eurodesign will act as the main contractor working with a huge amount of equipment to create the necessary infrastructure at such sports facilities. Infor SCE will help ensure simplicity, high speed and accuracy of work with different infrastructure elements.
