Helvetia Austria Implementing msg.Life Factory as New Target Platform for
Life Line of Business

The implementation project by msg will involve high-volume contract
migrations

(Leinfelden-Echterdingen, 28 June 2016) - Helvetia Austria is implementing
the msg.Life Factory (LF) portfolio management system by msg life, an msg
group company, as the new target platform for its life line of business.
msg systems, the heart of the msg group, and msg life will work in close
cooperation throughout the implementation. The implementation project is
already underway and should last around three and a half years, even with
the planned migrations. LF also includes both of msg life's JEE-based
standard software components for product and contract management, msg.LF
Product and msg.LF Contract.

As a long-standing customer of msg, Helvetia Austria has been successfully
using the cross-industry AFIS Suite by the msg group for years. The joint
implementation project for the new system will begin with the transfer of
the legacy files Helvetia will be retaining to the new LF system. This will
be done parallel to the implementation of LF and will be followed by the
migration of the life business Helvetia previously managed under AFIS. Once
complete, Helvetia will manage all of its existing and new business in the
life line of business exclusively with LF, while also complying with the
unique tax and legal characteristics of Austria. The AFIS Suite, on the
other hand, will still be employed for Helvetia's non-life segment and for
related systems, such as collection/disbursement or customer relationship
management.
