Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG adjusts forecast for 2016

Berlin, 31 August 2016 - Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG (ISIN
DE000A1MMHE3) has adjusted its forecast for the 2016 financial year. The
Management Board anticipates sales of only EUR 10 million to EUR 12 million
for the 2016 financial year (previous forecast: EUR 20 million to EUR 25
million). Despite the restructuring measures that have been initiated, the
Management Board expects earnings for 2016 to be approximately at the
previous year's level due to the shortfall in profit contributions from
sales (previous forecast: improvement in earnings).

The reason for the adjustment of the forecast is that incoming orders for
turnkey solutions continue to fall short of expectations, in particular in
Myanmar where the planned network extension has suffered significant delay
due to the change in government. In the first half of 2016, Heliocentris
Group achieved sales of EUR 2.6 million based on the provisional figures
(previous year: EUR 5.6 million). EBITDA achieved in the first half of 2016
is set to be EUR -8.2 million (previous year: EUR -7.9 million). EBIT and
net result in the first half of 2016 have not yet been finalised, as the
necessary depreciation calculations are still to be determined in ongoing
impairment tests.

Against this backdrop, the Management Board of the company has introduced
further cost reduction measures and is currently working on measures to
promptly strengthen liquidity and equity.
