China IT firms on $2 bln U.S. buying spree-report

BEIJING, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Chinese telephone firms and personal computer makers will buy some two billion dollars worth of equipment from U.S. companies during a Washington visit, the semi-official China News Service reported on Sunday.
The signing ceremony -- during which firms such as Motorola Inc (NYSE:MOT - News), Intel Corp (NasdaqNM:INTC - News) and Cisco Systems Inc (NasdaqNM:CSCO - News) will seal contracts with major Chinese companies -- will take place on January 13, it said citing Hong Kong`s Phoenix Satellite Television.
