Chambal Fertilizers to Sell Stake in Home-Finance Arm By Gautam Chakravorthy
March 9 (Bloomberg) -- Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.,
an Indian fertilizer maker, said it will sell its entire 50
percent stake in a home-finance venture to its partner for 1.1
billion rupees ($24 million). The company`s shares rose.
New Delhi-based Chambal Fertilizers will sell the stake in
Birla Home Finance Ltd. to its unit`s partner, BHW Holding AG of
Germany, the company said in a statement to the Mumbai stock
exchange.
Chambal Fertlizer shares rose 1.1 rupees, or 5.95 percent,
to 19.6 rupees at 3:00 p.m. local time on the Mumbai stock
exchange.
