Weiterhin gute Aussichten für DDR SDRAM ! ...Yesterday we talked with representatives of Micron and I would like to share a few highlights of the discussion: While Micron did not confirm this litterally, it became clear that DDR SDRAM is yielding very well. Almost 100% of the DDR SDRAM chips are capable of working totally reliable at 100 MHZ DDR (1.6 GB/s peak bandwidth). Micron is also working on the next generation of DDR SDRAMs. PC2600 (2.6 GB/s) DDR SDRAM were designed and will be submitted to the JEDEC standarisation organisation. DDR II will be the next generation of DDR SDRAMs. This means that multiple Rambus channels are not the only way to achieve very high bandwidth.
