Ist das so etwas wie "Aldi" / "Medion" in den U.S. ?

Detroit, CONVERGENCE 2004-October 18, 2004— Tele Atlas, a worldwide leading provider of digital map databases and location content for the U.S., and Dual Electronics, manufacturer of high-quality electronics at affordable prices, announced today the availability of the XNAV9525, a vehicle navigation system that can be used as a dedicated, in-dash system or as a stand alone system.

"GPS navigation is one of the most exciting product concepts to hit the mobile electronics business," said Robb Groner, Senior Product Manager, Namsung America, Inc., parent company of Dual Electronics. "Our new XNAV9525 is designed to provide a straightforward, easy-to-operate mapping system for all consumers."

Leveraging Tele Atlas` navigation map data, the system offers turn-by-turn routing instructions with voice guidance. Users may search for routes by address/intersection, points of interest, address book or previous destinations.

"Tele Atlas is pleased to team with Dual Electronics to bring this unique navigation solution to the marketplace," said Jonathon Husby, director of Automotive for Tele Atlas North America. "This innovative system brings the power of Tele Atlas` turn-by-turn maps to consumers looking for a reliable and affordable in-vehicle navigation solution."

The Dual XNAV9525 Vehicle Navigation System is unique in its ability to operate as a dedicated in-dash controlled system or as a stand-alone navigation system. Navigation data is stored on the XNAV9525`s 20 gigabyte hard drive and includes pre-loaded U.S. and Canada maps. Complete system specifications are available at www.dualav.com.
