S&T Wins large Enterprise Storage Contract with Bulgarian Telecommunications
Company (BTC) and becomes the leading provider of Storage Systems for
Telecom Operators in Central and Eastern Europe

S&T System Integration and Technology Distribution AG, Vienna, a Central and
Eastern European market leader in IT system integration, has won a USD 1
million contract to supply BTC, the Bulgarian national operator and provider
of international and domestic tele-communication services, with a high-end
enterprise storage solution based on the EMC Symmetrix storage system and
Celerra File Server.

Winning out over international competition, S&T Bulgaria was successful with
a comprehensive and platform independent enterprise storage solution, which
has been installed, tested and evaluated as a fully integrated system in the
operating environment at the customer site.

The choice of S&T Bulgaria was based on the high quality of its up-to-date
solution with excellent functionality proved during an extensive testing
period, strong local technical expertise and support and maintenance service
capabilities during the design, implementation and evaluation stage of the
project.

BTC has about 3 million telephone users at present and is currently in the
process of improving and consolidating its infrastructure in order to
achieve easier maintenance, better performance of the applications and to
provide new and better services to its customers.

With this new addition to it`s installed base, S&T positions itself clearly
as the leader in providing Integrated Storage Systems to Telecom Operators
in Central and Eastern Europe, having provided similar systems already to
Slovenian Telecom, Slovak Telecom, Romanian Telecom as well as the Mobile
Operators Telekom, Mobitel, Simobil in Slovenia, Vipnet in Croatia, Mobilrom
in Romania, Kievstar in Ukraine and Voxtel in Moldova.

"The market for Storage Systems is growing extremely fast due to the need
for large and quickly growing online data volumes in Telecom Operators and
Internet related operations and S&T has developed the inhouse knowhow to
deploy and maintain such systems in mission critical environments where
system downtime is simply not affordable", says Karl Tantscher, CEO of S&T.
"We expect that 20% of our revenues in 2000 will come from such Storage
Systems".

Today`s two prevailing architectures, SAN (Storage Area Networks) and NAS
(Network Attached Storage) are forecasted to grow at a compound rate of 66%
through 2003, according to IDC.

S&T bases its storage solutions mainly on hardware and software products
provided from the industry leaders EMC² and Network Appliance.
