U.S. IT staffing to reach $23 billion in 2000 Aug. 17, 2000 -- The growth rate of IT staffing companies, which dropped more than half to 11% in 1999, is expected to recover slightly to reach 13% in 2000, bringing total industry revenues to $23 billion, according to the latest ITSBR special report on the state of the IT staffing industry. ITSBR estimates a growth of 17% in the IT staffing sector by 2001. Staffing giant Modis Professional Services` IT unit modis Inc. occupied the top position in the ranking of the 1999 Top 20 IT staffing companies.
